maybe the N1m can get you the kind of car you can use for Uber Taxi business?

that way you generate income with the car when not in use?

saw a thread somewhere on the specs they accept.

[s]
you can as well use the Uber biz to fund your bar and use the bar biz to maintain the car. [/s]
I like the way you think, a business inclined thought

@pretts, u are indeed right, I have done business with some nairalanders and we have never met in person, bought some tangible PayPal $$$ from them. No doubt, there are trustworthy nairalanders, but everyone should take cautiousness and precaution in their dealings......I rest my case.

Afeelya. Thats a way to think. He should negotiate better with his personal purchase in millions.
If he bargains sometin of 300mill for 290mil he saved 10mill. Thats significant
Not bargaining 5k for 1k n saving 4k just because its a common man.
Then he will use that 4k+40k to buy wine dat he will drink n not finish.
Pftttttttt
A wiser 'park guy' wouldn't overprice the parking fees just because the customer is an extremely rich one like dangote. if he was indeed wise, he would have just take some minutes after dangote parked the car and went in to 'think outside d box' of what value he could add to dangote's car while being parked that could grab his attention when he's back to move away.....

This little value delivered by him to dangote could even make dangote appreciate him with a better cash than 5k and even gain him a little connection (= what we call networking) with him even if dangote was not able to reward in cash......its just about thinking outside d box and packaging himself to a likeable person..... a normal him could overprice it, but a wiser him will rather deliver value that can fetch him cash or kind/connection from Dangote.

I applaud that.........

and for the guy saying giving him 7k will make him wanna be like dangote.....I disagree with u......thinking to be like dangote has to do with d park man's personality, and I don't think someone who overpriced a parking fee at the sight of a rich man has that kind of personality.
If he wants that kind of money, he would deliver a value to have such and not looking out for opportunities milk a rich man to have such.

pls I would urge everyone to do their due diligence before doing any transactions......if you people can't meet physically or have a person based in your respective cities represent you in such a transaction u may end up losing everything just because you were looking for the best exchange rate.

many have being scammed (including pros) and many will still be scammed.

Just imagine, how can a proper thinking business man use ordinary 3k to chase away bigger projects that can fetch him bigger profits and more reputable portfolio of accomplished jobs.

I have taken notice of something on nairaland, many always want to appear saint on nairaland, thy want to have an untarnished image, clean records and good reputation but when you get to meet the real them in the physical world, you get to know that they are people bound to be run away from.

#Note: most people like to 'form' saint on nairaland, deal with nairalanders with care and make background checks.

The rate at which scams reported and unreported spring up nowadays on nairaland is mind boggling.

Always do background checks before you transact money with nairalanders even if it is #100.

I hope to find time and come up with a solution of helping everyone make NL scam free......doing business online is good.....but scams make it horrible and regretting.

BusinessRe: How Much Does Taxi Drivers Make ?? by Abidex35(m): 10:13pm On Jan 25, 2016
@op, please sink this ' NEVER GIVE YOUR TAXIS OUT FOR DAILY REMITTANCE IN WHICH THE DRIVER WORKS FOR YOU' except you are ready for heartache and high blood pressure, even though honestly I have not done this business, 99% of people investing in this business have made their remarks that 99% of the time 'ONLY HIRE PURCHASE WORKS' with committed non married men in which they make the payments daily, bi-weekly or as agreed.

Be on the look out for a good driver, a mistake at 'this' has already killed the business before it started.

Its so sad that you became a victim of this PayPal fraud again, despite you being a person sensitizing people on dealing carefully with PayPal funds on several threads, how come you (a pro in exchange business ) still fell a victim?

cheesy cheesy cheesy He woke my spirit.. Nicey cheesy..

Truth is, fish farming needs loads of attention and patience which I lack embarassed.. I remember IT days.. I ran away from feeding and changing the water of the fingerling grin, though, I knew some Markurdi students who fed them even late @ night (10pm)..

Rather than partnering, I would prefer a consulting job wink.. I am lazy grin, and wouldn't want to start what I cannot not finish..
LOL....U are indeed lazy; I can see u want d easier part of d job.
But ur laziness is a weakness and can limit how far u can achieve ur dream, the question in here is;

Do u recognize it as a weakness and are u ready to overcome it?

Its time to 'Dare' urself to see if u wudnt finish what u started, its a risk , I dare u to take d risk, and once u are able to successfully take it and finish it; u go back home better, smiling at 'accomplished' self as a new 'Jennifer' entrepreneur.

Braze up and DARE UR SELF

I believe In U, but d question is ; do u believe in yourself?

• I did Agriculture in secondary school..
• I did my IT in an Agricultural institute..
• I did an Animal & Environmental course..

Agriculture is a self employed course, and should be encouraged, rather than the country depending only on crude as a main source of income.. You can see things are going bad already cry..

I don't own an agro-enterprise yet but I hope to someday.. I love fish farming, and feed mill cheesy..
Dear, that someday is too far...... start Now, start little, and ur on your way to greatness....

I can see ur have a strong passion for it, and that's d beginning of a strong foundation of any pursuit........ why wait till 'someday', you can leverage d CBN fund which targets 70% women at a low interest of 9% per annum to boost ur agro dream, but start NOW with what u have.

Wouldn't mind partnering with you for some of my (proposed) future agro ventures in d south-south when d time comes towards mid/end of this year.

pls Dear start Nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww,
U' ve got d passion
U' be for d knowledge/Insights

Then what else is holding you down till 'someday' ?
Don't tell me finance, U can do it!

Macrobrachium is the culturing of prawns, and yes, they are largely consumed.. Low in calories and fat than chicken yet with much more protein content.. They also contain magnesium (Mg) which is very important for bone development..

For example, on Friday last week, my aunt bought a rubber of prawn (dried) for 6k, and bought same rubber of crayfish for 3k..

Except you don't know prawn, the market value is very high especially in the Southern part of Nigeria, and also other parts of the world (UK, North America, Ireland) etc..

You need to read up about prawn farming, and maybe, run a part time program on it cos trust me, they are very delicate, and dies easily if not properly taken care off..
Wow, this prawn is a real business, and thanks for the analysis, the only downside is the fragility of its life, will read more on it, thanks.

Just curious though, the price difference between the prawn and crayfish; could it be because its sweeter in taste compared to crayfish or because it is available in lesser quantities compared to crayfish?

thanks for doing justice to my question once again

I am presently on my Industrial Training in a Federal Government Establishment; African Regional Aqua-Culture Centre, Aluu.. In my 2nd month already, and I've come to appreciate Agriculture and it's importance..

One Million naira can go a long way in getting you loads of profits....

1. Fish Farming: Have you ever thought of the huge profits you'll make when you start this? Get a good land (half plot for a start), buy your fries, and start up with guidelines from an expert..

2. Snailery: This is another lucrative business which will fetch you cool cash.. Snails are appreciated in Nigeria, and on the high side.. You can also become a supplier to hotels, fast foods etc..

3. Poultry: It's the season for killing chicken grin grin... It can be stressful though, but the profit is worth it..

4. Feed Mill: This is a place where the feeds for aqua cultural livestock are produced.. With a little plot of land, and the right equipment with an expert guiding you, you can make huge profits.. People will come buy this feed from you..

5. Piggery: This is another lucrative investment..

6. Macrobrachium: This is the culturing and rearing of Prawns which is otherwise known as Oporo (guess I got the spelling undecided).. It's a delicious delicacy used in our meal, and quite expensive but the disadvantage of this is that, you'll need a flowing river (fresh water to be precise) where you can set your traps during the waterfall..

Hope I was able to help?
i know the post is quite old, but could you pls explain a little about this macrobarium or so, and the prawns you were referring to, are they largely consumed by people, in other words, does it have a market after production.

BusinessRe: Join Me In Making 2016 Become A Dream Come True. by Abidex35(op): 6:30pm On Jan 03, 2016
A Short Summary of My Year 2016 Goals.

I have goals Entrepreneurially/Businesswise in terms of number of products to sell, commissions/revenue to generate, profits to make monthly/quarterly, new business opportunities/activities to venture into. Not to even talk of my ‘Access to finance’ goals of how much I want to raise for my businesses these year in terms of loans, grants and venture capital.

I also have some personal developmental goals to achieve this New Year; Success has a strong foundation and foothold in acquiring information (= Reading), No one can be outstandingly successful without being an avid reader who delights in constant learning, as a result of this, I have got a lot of goals regards reading, ranging from number of hours I read daily; number of pages to read daily, number of books to read monthly, ranging from topics on lifestyle, leadership, start-ups, management, sales & marketing, building solid teams, building business empires, Auto Biographies etc.

I have goals for my spiritual life, Without God; my race will lead me nowhere. I need him to bless the work of my hands, because until he does so, I may labour in vain. I need God to crown my 2016 Efforts. My spiritual life felt a hit blow and has not being much encouraging; Imagine I rarely read the holy Book anymore, sometimes I wake up and go out in the morning without even praying, I am no longer spiritually active like I was before. I need God more than he needs me; I want to fellowship with him better this New Year.

I also have Networking goals, I want to be more social, and being an introvert isn’t much gainful to my quest as an entrepreneur, networking opens up avenue for new connections, and as you know,
“Your NETWORK determines Your NETWORTH”,
“While Poor People Work, Rich People network”.
I want to meet/approach at least one new person (not just any dick & harry) every 2 weeks. That could result in meeting over 30 new people this New Year, of which any of them could happen to be a financier/investor in future business deals, or even business partners, mentors, leaders, or someone worthy of inviting to join a business/start up team.

stay tuned for the next:
BusinessRe: Join Me In Making 2016 Become A Dream Come True. by Abidex35(op): 8:54pm On Jan 02, 2016
Attitudes that made year 2015 a non successful one for me.

Like I said earlier, my 2015 wasn’t a success, want to know why? Here are some areas I need to change or else this year is failed already before it started already.

Procrastination: I have lost a lot to this bastard of a destiny killer, I guess we all know what it is, and this isn’t an English class where I will be giving its definition, this “thing” is ready to make me end 2016 the same way I ended 2015, if I don’t take an action now.

To-Do list: if you are someone with a Vision of how you want to live your life, you will know that making your to-do list is a must every morning. Yet I have failed in this aspect, Non Discipline on making a daily to-do List before going out in the morning which has lead to unproductive days.

Daily reading: As much as I need to read a lot of books for my personal & business needs, yet I still failed on this aspect. Because I wasn’t disciplinary and principled enough, and there was no room for competition which I so much love. I didn’t read up to 5 books all through 2015, even though; I read a lot of useful articles in their thousands, I have a lot to read to remain relevant in the business world.

Prayer Life: What can I say? , I pray less, My Sync with God is on a low level, Reading the holy Book is now very rare of me. I rarely go on personal fasting & prayers unlike before.

What 2016 will Be all bout for me

It might be a little lengthy, but you can't go read these and not gain something.

2016 will be my breakthrough year; 1977 was Dangote’s breakthrough year when he secured license to exclusively import cement, 1981 was bill Gate’s Breakthrough year when he secured contract from IBM to provide an Operating System for their new Pc.

I am an entrepreneur who knows what it takes to succeed in 2016 and make it a year of dream come true for myself; I haven’t attained success simply because I have identified some way of doing things that needs different approach, attitude and strategy.

Having realized this is a New Year, I have so many aspirations, so many business opportunities, so much business ideas/ventures that can turn me into a Mega Business Man in the next 365 days (by the end of Year 2016), and no one needs to tell me to diversify my portfolio of business offering this new year. I know all these already, but there are some things that made 2015 a non fulfilling year for me, and these things are ready to make this New Year end awkwardly for me unless I introduce a new strategy/way of doing things especially in areas of ‘personal development’, ’spiritual growth’, ‘networking’ and ‘principles’ that guides my kind of aspired lifestyle.

‘You can’t keep doing the SAME thing and expect getting a DIFFERENT result’.
In Essence, if I don’t CHANGE my strategy/approach, then my 2016 dreams/goals might not find fulfilment.

Kindly join me, as I take you through some aspects that made 2015 a non fulfilling Year for me. As much as I achieved some things last year, I am not contended with such level of achievement, such that I call it a 'failed Year' , but never the less, I thank God for being privileged to be a part of this New year.
