HealthRe: Painful Menses. Please Help! by abike12(f): 9:16pm On Nov 01, 2021
Have you had a pelvic scan to check for fibroids and other growths? Some people just have more painful periods naturally but if it's affecting your quality of life it may be worth taking a closer look. If it turns out you have fibroids, don't be afraid of surgery and please stay away from herbal remedies. All the best.

ETA: Look at your diet. You may need to eliminate certain things and eat a plant based diet. Red meat, chicken, sugar and dairy products are the first things you should eliminate. Diet changes work wonders, even after surgery you need to eat better to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

Hi guys. Trust your day is going well.

I'm about to start searching for admission in the UK. I gathered that admission is usually slated for September and January. Isn't it too late for a January admission by now? Can I still make January 2022 or just be looking at next September 2022. If September, can I still start the whole admission thingy now?

Also, I have a degree in Statistics over here in Naija, so I'd likely be going for a Masters program in that line. For people in UK, how's my chances of getting a job with Statistics. (Although I think it should be on the very ok level).

Furthermore, how possible is it to be able to pay for my tuition balance with the "20hrs a week work", cos the pocket no too reach like that, just hoping on the working to take care of my bills and every every.

I'd appreciate any response. Thanks.
why don't you get a PhD or do something research related so you can get funded? there are a lot of tech opportunities in data science so you can look into those. ideally it can be done remotely so you can look for opportunities in any country

Not everything obviously.... Only the stupid and meaningless ones.

They copied lockdown without copying the sharing of palliatives and stimulus checks.

Now, they are copying enforcement of vaccination when the whole world knows this nation doesn't have enough vaccines for even a third of the population.

So, they only do things to come off as doing things, when in reality they are doing next to nothing.

Also as a warning to women.

Its very important you give birth on time. That allows your young body to mentally and physically adjust to the endless hormonal changes that follow post partum.
Very insensitive thing to say at this time. The real warning is that all women should have support and discuss any post partum issues with their doctors and loved ones in a non judgmental atmosphere .

Not sure why you stated that you are against domestic violence, it seems like you want us to give you permission to hit her?

If all you said is true, it's definitely an abusive marriage. I feel bad you're going through this and I think some time apart will do you good. You may need to find somewhere to stay where you will have peace of mind and sleep through the night. It will also help to prevent escalation which can lead to manslaughter. Separate first then pray and re-approach things.

Alol !! have you ever wondered what makes forbidden fruit unresistable, you tell a child not to go near fire n suddenly fire becums alluring grin they will not hear won ma'waa ijn grin
I wasnt expecting much from you anyway,i support ur advise n i think it should go both ways. men should just fvck & dump gurls that carry entitlement mentality. no marriage without collective support. reality await you abike grin
I gave this advice as a married woman with a lot going on for myself so I'm not sure what reality you think awaits me. When I say avoid stingy men, it's not because of the actual amount the man will spend but because it shows care and willingness of the man to take up responsibility. Also, men show love with giving, either giving of material things, time, effort and making sacrifices, so I strongly believe that a stingy man is a man that does not love you. I don't even advise a woman to marry before having a good source of income and life plan because having your own resources reduces the likelihood of abuse. Some of you need to understand that a lot of things can be correct at the same time. A woman can marry a generous man AND still have her own money AND also contribute to the family bills. Get rid of your myopic way of thinking.

You gurls just sit down n propagate fantasies as standard, what will a woman do with respect when her nature is a sucker for love.
If you believe in the bible, "where is it written husband respect your wife" you want a man that understand the bible while you live by your own theory grin reality await you.
As much as i support no woman should marry a stingy man i will also advise no man should marry a liability entitled wife, there is no marriage without support. marry a woman that can serve as backup @least.
Don't marry a gurl that thinks are only worthwhile gain in marriage is money undecided what a myopic reasoning
Ladies, what I mean by respect is a man that won't come online to attack women like this person here. also, watch out for men that talk bad about their exes, or sisters or women in general. A man who sees no value in women can never make a good husband. Good luck to all.

I agree with you Sis.
If I may ask, would you advice a male friend to marry a stingy woman?
I'm curious because I feel both should compliment eachother.
No, I would not advice a friend to marry a stingy woman either. Life is about give and take and either spouse can be a destiny helper to the other one. Either of them should have an attitude of service toward the other person but the bible is clear on whose primary responsibility it is to provide. I use the word primary because I don't expect any woman in this day and age to not contribute to the household as well.

I hope they listen. Ndi online virtuous women. So many women are out there catering for their homes alone and the worst part about this is, a woman can be a provider and caregiver easily, but a man can never fit into your womanly role because he is not biologically equipped to. Any woman that chooses to ignore this advice in a relationship and goes into marriage has shortchanged herself for LIFE.

If at all you want to be Nairaland’s sweetheart, you can claim you don’t like money, you don’t care if he gives you. But once you logout, use that your coconut head. A man that loves you and has it, would give you. You wouldn’t even have to ask!! It doesn’t make you a gold-digger!
I totally agree, especially with the bolded.

Ladies, stay single until you find someone that respects you, respects women in general and understand his role as a husband in the Bible (if you're Christian). Don't ever marry a stingy man, there's no love without giving, especially with men.

FamilyRe: Is My Wife Correct On This Matter? by abike12(f):
Chuxx84:
Good evening nairalanders.
Please I need advice/opinions on this issue at hand.

I have been taking care of my mother since before I got married, I have other brothers older and younger but they are not financially buoyant. (So they claimed) I did not mind this but kept on caring for her ( house rent, feeding, other bills).

Although it's a burden to me, but she is my mother. Now my wife suggest that any money I want to give to her should pass through her (I will send to my wife then she sends to my mother) or she does the sending and I later pay her back.

Her claim is my mother is fetish with my money. I'm confused can this be true? Sometimes my mother will make simple money request my wife would say I should ignore her. She says she is taking me for a fool. I am beginning to get tired of this whole thing. Please help with advice or opinions.

Thanks.
Oh wow. A couple of things, does your wife work? I think partners should have an amount of money to spend at their discretion so that they can also protect the integrity of their extended family members. Say you make 1m a month, you should have maybe 100-150k that you can spend as you see fit without your wife knowing. You don't have to tell your wife every single time your mom asks you for money. And as a woman, I won't tell my husband every single time I give my extended family small amounts.

On the fetish claim, if your mother did not kill you when you were a baby and you grew up, old enough to even marry, I don't think a wife should come and say such rubbish. She didn't even apply wisdom at all. Stay prayed up but please don't pass money to your mother through your wife.

FamilyRe: Does My Brother's Wife Have The Right To Walk Me Out Of My Brother's House ? by abike12(f): 10:50pm On Feb 16, 2021
iamGholdaniel:
I am angry right now,
My brother’s wife is so full of pain, whenever she sight me.
I don’t know where this hatred is coming from, today she did worst than before.
a male friend visited, and I went to the kitchen to cook and serve him.

After my friend left she started ranting, and I shouted back at her.

She packed out my belongings , and she started throwing my bags and other stuffs outside.
She locked the house entrance and left with the keys

I decided to stay calm and wait for my brother to come back.

Because everything my brother own, we both struggled for it.
I can't imagine it was fun to live with an in-law that has this type of mindset. No matter what, a marriage between your brother and his wife can never and should never involve you. My advice to you is to go and start your own life without harboring resentment. If you keep feeling entitled to what's not yours, it will be hard for you to make it. Focus on yourself and see this event as motivation to make something out of yourself.
