SirWahl1:That's good. I know a non Nigerian in the financial sector that's doing very well there but I've not seen anyone coming from Nigeria to live in chicago have a soft landing. IT will require a bunch of certifications and I think weekend classes for a month or thereabouts. I'll reach out to a friend to get you specifics. One thing I will tell you is if you plan to remain in professional jobs long term then you need to add a US degree to your plans. |
oluwarichie:my first advice would be to leave chicago. Nigerians there are not up to much as far as legal life. I literally don't know one Nigerian in chicago that's up to much. If you are open to relocation I would suggest atlanta, houston, dallas, places with upwardly mobile black people and Nigerians, low cost of living, nice houses in the 200s, and lots of opportunity. IT is definitely having it's moment now and you don't have to spend much on education to get your foot in the door. I like that it's flexible, allowing you to work from home and have other side gigs. If it sounds like something you're interested in I can ask around for how to get started. I'm assuming you're a permanent resident... |
good job Peter, now choose them again and stop putting family drama on the internet |
congratulations!! |
a friend told you this and the next logical thing is to bring it to facebook? I'm pretty sure she made this up to trend |
Khaleell001:I don't know why you are shedding idiotic tears under my post. I'm 100% sure you don't work as hard as I do. The fact that I don't do runs does not prevent me from making an observation. Nigerian girls are not more immoral than others, there's just so much financial desperation there. I can see there's also no scarcity of idiocy. radarada |
MiddleSpot:I can't believe he called runs girl out but failed to also warn their big gods. Who is fooling who? |
Runs girl are not the problem in Nigeria, unemployment and hardship are the real issues. All over the world these types of relationships exist between men and women as a way for women to make money and live large and for otherwise undesirable men to get the women of their dreams. The problem with Nigeria is that doing runs is almost the only way for women to make good money. They have sugar daddy websites in the US and most people can't be bothered to join because they can choose to get an hourly job, pay their bills and live comfortably - even without education. But in Nigeria of 2019 you will see graduates selling okrika or going from Idimu to VI for a job that pays 80k naira monthly. The hardship is just too much. Runs girl are just a symptom of a bigger issue. Leave them alone and let's face the real problems. Disclaimer: This is a common sense observation and not encouraging runs. |
the streets are looking rough... anyway, I have naira to change to dollars. if anyone is interested and can make a zelle transfer, I'll send the naira to a nigerian account. we can use a reputable escrow or be ready to send first. I can't be struggling inside cold for one person to think they can scam me. |

BS BS BS! I went in to the hospital after seeing bloody show. I made sure I ate before coming in because I didn't know what was going to happen. They checked and said my amniotic fluid was low (AFI under 5) and since I was more than 37 weeks they'll have to induce me. We were transferred to labor and delivery and I was checked, 1cm dilated. The doctor came in to talk about induction options and the balloon catheter thing was put in to get my cervix to dilate more. I was shaking because I really hate pain and it hurt so bad when they filled the balloon up. Two hours later, they came in with pitocin, started at 2 and increasing by 2 every 45 minutes. The contractions got more intense and I asked for pain relief and was given nubain which was a big mistake because it affected the baby's heart rate. The doctors came back in and I was advised to stop everything and go for a c section which I agreed to. This was around 8 hours into the induction. When the balloon was taken out I was only 2cm dilated after all the pain and suffering. They prepared me for surgery and gave me the spinal injection which had me shaking with fear but it wasn't so bad. About 15 minutes later I heard the cry of my baby. We stayed in the hospital for 3 days before getting discharged and I'm recovering well at home. I just thank God for everything. From the beginning of this pregnancy it's been God all the way. Sabi mamas any tips on getting my breast milk to flow more? I'm drinking a lot of ogi, peppersoup and aju mbaise but it's still not flowing well. |
BA BA BA from a lurker! My God, you have done what only you can do and changed my name to mother. My baby girl was born Oct 28th via emergency c section, original due date was Nov 8. I thank God because i'm alive to write this. Baby, mother and father are doing well. BS coming soon. |
