gidjah: You will some day get married bae,you just need to get a lil bit more less strict and reduce your yard lines drawn.i wanna believe fine men come close, but your feelings ain't there, would you want the kind of person you will have feelings for or vice versa?, Iife is not most times how we want it to get played, love grows with time too, the person you tend not to have feelings for today, might b d one your feelings gets strongest for with time ,that's how love grows .if it grows with time, it will stay permanent, you will have to let your love grow with some nice guy out there, watch it ,tend it,water it and watch it grow to stay forever.you are pretty young, that's why you are still feeling this way,but mind you ,age is never on your side, you grow old daily, watch it,I pray it does get better with you.gat an older sis who was just LIke you,she started like you, finished her school very young ,na so we talk to her,she go say,'this one ,I don't have feelings for,''that one he is not minding me'..bla bla bla..to make the short story long,my older sis works with the accountant general of the federation as the head, she is well over fourty today but guys have stopped coming!,she is still there with all the comforts she has,was with 'aunty'few days ago, age no be here o, she told me she gets depressed dail over how she has been, and how she has treated guys,..with all the cars and affluence,na only married guys dey show for her side!.her pastor even asked her to keep her cars at home and start trekking may be boys will show up,...for were !!?? Everyone has that Aunty. As miserable as they claim to be, they are not as unhappy as people that are stuck in a marriage with the wrong partner. That's the real hell on earth. It's not good to be too picky but at the same time, don't let fear of becoming that Aunty lead you into lifelong misery. |

taiiremide: I never neglect my family. I provide everything they need in my capacity. She's not working. I beat her once. She provoked me. 5 months after the wedding, she slapped me, she was pregnant then so I spare her, I didn't retaliate. Her mother told me to beat her that no responsible woman will raise her hands against her husband. So if she provokes you enough you can kill her? You better work on your temper before the devil uses you to destroy your life. And learn to take responsibility for your actions. Also, why are so many family members involved? taiiremide: She doesn't love me, when someone isn't in love with u, no matter what you do to please her, she'll never be satisfy. Same lie my ex told himself instead of addressing the issues I was unhappy about. The fact that someone is unhappy with the relationship or complaining doesn't mean they don't love you. |

taiiremide: My wife absconded with our kids (2 boys). We’ve been married for 4years plus. I did everything a good husband would do to please his wife, but she never satisfied. Before we got married, I’ve a good job and she knew my worth, after marriage things isn’t as rosy and it used to be, I lost my job and I was able to get one after 2 months but the salary is 120k excluding other freelance jobs I do online.
We’re unable to save. We spent most of the money on food stuffs, I hate seeing her hungry. She called me one faithful night and reminds me of the premises I made before we got married about the car and supermarket I promised her (I can’t remembered making such promises), but I still encourage her to be patient with me, that things gonna be fine. She never supported me as she’s not working. I remember I gave her 450k to start a business; she was pregnant at the time so she rejected the money because of her condition. I added some money and I bought a car, I needed the car to hustle for contracts, I cant be jumping from okada to marwa, nobody gonna take you serious. A month later, I got a printing contract from one of the best companies in Lagos, the condition is to use your money for the contract so I sold the car to print the job, I bought a machine unfortunately the machine packedup, i lost the gain and money for the car but I was able to delivered the job more that expectation but I lost huge amount of money. She always complaining ever since, when I tried to encourage her that things will be fine she will ask me ‘when’.
She treats my kids as if she wasn’t the one that brought them to this world, she always using negative words for those kids, I later realized she doesn’t love me, if she love me, she’ll equally love my kids.
4 months ago, she went to visit my younger sister in osogbo, she saw the way my sister’s business was moving fine, she fall inlove with osogbo, she sent a message thus ‘dear, guess I am in love with Oshogbo is peaceful and cool’. When she came back to Lagos, she said she wanted us to move to osogbo, after much persuasion and consideration I succumbed. We moved to osogbo, I spent more than 300k. 2 weeks later, she started complaining that osogbo is boring. I was so mad. I had to risk my life travelling from osogbo to Lagos almost every week. On the 16th of September (a day after I celebrated our last born birthday) she left for Lagos for her sister’s wedding, I gave her 12k for tfair and other expenses. I called her a week later to remind her that our first son gonna resume school the following Monday, that’s when she said she’s no longer interested in the marriage, that I should move on, I called her mother, she said I should come see her but my family stopped me, since we never had a fight and I was not the one that sent her packing that she should be the one to come.
I’m missing my kids, they’re my life, I don’t know what to do. I don't know the full story o but if what you're saying is true, you can at least get shared custody of your kids. Sorry you had to find out the hard way that she wasn't really down for you. The best use of your time now is to sort out access to your kids, whether by talking to her or going to court. It's your right. Good luck! |

She's done a great job by keeping herself until this age. The mistake she's making is basing her self worth on her virginity. What happens after she has kids, do you all of a sudden become worthless because your hymen is long gone? Instead of running announcement, she can help to mentor young girls and also focus on her dead career. You have to be relevant for something other than what is in between your legs. |

Juokorow: Has anyone noticed the recent drastic increase in the calling rates from USA to Nigeria, a result of the inept effort by our government to raise revenues from international calls. Bossrevolution rates increased from less than 3 cents to 10 cents per minute, effective Sept. 26. The $1 that yielded over 30 minutes, can only fetch 10 minutes. At 460 naira for 1 minutes, why should I not channel 99% of my calls via VOIP, using Whatsapp, FaceTime, etc? The mentioned ineptitude relates to the neglect of "elasticity of supply and demand" ( which even market okra sellers understand in practice) in price setting even in monopolies. A 500% rate increase driven by Nigerian FedGov. tariff increase shows a deplorable, self destructive price modeling, assuming any, particularly at a time of increasing availability of cheap internet based phone calls!
Change ( economic, financial, production, commercial, etc) is often measured in nominal and relative terms, both important! Illustrative is the fact that I usually spend about $100 a month on calling home. This change means a nominal increase to $500 a month, a relative increase of 500%, all of a sudden. Had they raised it by 100 % immediately, many will say , " I understand". The upto date dizzy devaluation of the Naira is still less than 300% YTD even on the back market. Guess what, 500% or 1 zillion % times of nothing is zero. They have actually done me the favor of compelling the discipline of making my calls via the internet. The savings can go to innumerable charitable ends back home. Lest you ask, I also pay, through family support, call receipt in Nigeria. Obviously, data is cheaper than voice at home. So why should informed persons not make individual decisions that collectively may turn Our Govt. policy-----self defeating!
Pardon any heightened passion and frustration about how we "move our country" forward-ly back! I noticed the same with Rebtel. I was getting 600 minutes for $15, now the same amount gets only 120. I told my parents to call me and go get WiFi. Does anyone know which ISP is good in the Ikeja area? Thanks a lot |
