Islam for Muslims / Re: She's A Christian,am A Muslim. Can This Marriage Work? by Abiodun92(m): 3:02pm On Mar 05, 2009
My Mom's and Dad's marriage didn't go too well, they divorced when i was 6yrs. The main reason for the divorce was that my mother as a Christian didn't like that my Father tried to make me and my siblings moslems. sad
Religion / Re: Does Satan Really Exist? by Abiodun92(m): 2:24pm On Mar 05, 2009
@ Poster

I feel sorry for you, it must feel really bad to burn in hell when you die.
It's really stupid to make friends with Lucifer and his minions(Lilith, belsebul etc.) You should really understand that satan makes you his puppet, one of his evil instruments of doom, but when you die you'll feel the wrath of God.

Just accept it. Satan is bound to lose, there is no way he is gonna beat God, because after all, God himself created Lucifer, and i bet God knows how to beat something he created himself. Satan just doesn't stand a chance against the Almighty God the Creator of the All what exists.

I hope you come to your senses.

Family / Re: Why Are Nigerian Parents So Overprotective? by Abiodun92(m): 7:41pm On Feb 07, 2009
My dad wasn't a really nice guy, sometimes he used to beat me and my siblings with a belt or something else what he thought could be useful for bashing children. Sometimes it just seemed to me like i was being punished for no good reason. undecided

Thank God my mom never hit me, but i think she is a bit too overprotective, but she said that when i turn 18, i can do whatever the hell i like to do. smiley
Religion / Re: Jesus Did Not Die On The Cross. by Abiodun92(m): 12:55pm On Feb 04, 2009
Wikipedia:

Other accounts

Since crucifixion was a common punishment for first century Jews thought to be traitors against Rome, it is not surprising that only a few secular historians record the event (and then without much commentary). For instance, Roman historian Tacitus, in his Annals (c. A.D. 116), mentions only in passing that "Christus, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, "

Additionally, first-century Jewish historian Josephus (in a disputed passage) records:

Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ. And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day; as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.
—Josephus , Antiquities of the Jews - XVIII, 3:8-10

Another possible Jewish reference to the crucifixion ("hanging" cf. Luk 23:39; Gal 3:13) is found in the Babylonian Talmud:

On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, ‘He is going forth to be stoned because he has practised sorcery and enticed Israel to apostacy. Anyone who can say anything in his favour, let him come forward and plead on his behalf.’ But since nothing was brought forward in his favour he was hanged on the eve of the Passover!
—Soncino English Translation of the Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 43a

Although the question of the equivalence of the identities of Yeshu and Jesus has at times been debated, many historians agree that the above passage is likely to be about Jesus.

-Still say Jesus did not die on a cross?   grin

Politics / Re: Igbo President - Name Your Choice by Abiodun92(m): 8:30pm On Jan 04, 2009
Yes the Jungle Nigeria will become a garden of Eden if an Igbo man becomes president, well just support Yorubas to leave. so all this dream can be possible, cus so far Yorubas are still around, they will ne the next president.

I agree with you, Igbos can keep dreaming about an Igbo president ruling Nigeria, It's just impossible if we Yorubas and the Hausas are around.

I think Nigeria should be divided, maby then Igbos can have their own president. grin
Politics / Re: Petition For Division Of Nigeria Into 3 Countries by Abiodun92(m): 1:32pm On Jan 04, 2009
Hmmm,  Interesting Topic i must say.  smiley

I personally think this might be the only solution for the problems there, but indeed, how do you lump Edo and Delta states to Biafra? What about Kwara State? Isn't Kwara state mostly populated by the Yoruba people  undecided
Politics / Re: Igbo President - Name Your Choice by Abiodun92(m): 12:11pm On Jan 04, 2009

Travel / Re: Best Country In Europe! by Abiodun92(m): 9:01pm On Dec 14, 2008
What do you guys think about Finland? I live in Finland, but i've also traveled in Europe. Few reasons why i think Finland is a really nice place to be:

1.The condition of air is very good, almost no pollution at all!

2.Finland is a High-Tech country, known around the globe for Mobile phones(Nokia).

3.Finland has a high Human Development index: 0.952 Ranked 11th Worldwide. GDP Per Capita is $46,856.

4.Finland has pretty cold winters, but also Warm summers.

5.Finland has good results in many international comparisons of national performance such as the share of high-technology manufacturing, public education, health care, the rate of gross domestic product growth, and the protection of civil liberties.

6.Finland has been ranked the second most stable country in the world, in a survey based on social, economic, political, and military indicators.

7.The life expectancy is 82 years for women and 75 years for men.

8.Finnish educational system is known as one of the best in the world.

9.63% of Finns claim to speak English as a language other than a mother tongue.

10.Finland isn't really racist country, because people living in the cities have already gotten used to seeing immigrants.

11.If you like Ice-Hockey, then Finland is truly a place to be! cheesy
Religion / Re: Why Is It That Witches, Wizards And Demons Never Attack Atheist? by Abiodun92(m): 8:22pm On Dec 14, 2008
I live in Finland, i was born here, and i have lived among these people for all my life. Finland is an European high-tech country(Nokia), and most of the people are Lutheran christians(83%). Finnish people who label themselves as christians, are mostly non-believers, even if they take part in the church events. They are mostly atheists, and some of them openly say that God is dead. Why don't they suffer any attacks from evil spirits, or Demons? THEY DO SUFFER, BUT THEY DON'T SEE IT! Many people here in finland have some sort of a Depression. They don't really know why they are so depressed and want to kill themselves, so they try to shake off the depression by taking drugs(Anti-Depressants, Amphetamine, Alcohol etc.) Taking those drugs will only make them addicted to em', and in that way they are exposed to even more of a different mental illnesses, like Schizophrenia. Then some people may find themselves living rest of their lives in a mental hospital.

Atheists do suffer too, i've seen it happening. So it's not only Christians or Moslems who suffer from Demonic influences.  tongue

Culture / Re: Why Weren't/aren't There Any Tribes In Europe? by Abiodun92(m): 8:03pm On Dec 13, 2008
There are tribes in Europe too, but not at the same level as in Africa. Im Half Nigerian, and half Finnish(Finland, Northern Europe). Here in Finland tribes aren't very visible, but usually people can tell what tribe they are from. In Finland there aren't really much tribes, some tribes are: Karelians, Tavastians, Savoans, Bothians, Satakuntians, And the Sami people wo aren't exactly counted as Finnish tribe, because they are some sort of nomadic reindeer herders, much like Fulanis in Nigeria. smiley
