I love how dark the road is @ third picture...the quality is vivid See ehn the north is developing and soon they will catch up with southern Nigerian than we can start to move together most of ngieria’s illiteracy and poverty problems are in the north with all these rice mills, roads and factories the north will become way more developed by 2025 Kenyans will be going to Nigeria thinking it’s the UK or America |

budaatum: These trains should be built in Nigeria to create jobs for Nigerians instead of being bought from across "high seas"! Government should invest in Innosson or somewhere in Aba and have them made! (No tribalism intended, just that "Made in Aba" of the 70s and 80s must have improved in quality by now, or would have if........).
Op, edit that title please! This is one where we all should be writing to our reps and senators to tell them what they ought to be doing since it seems they have not got a clue. They are building a railway university in well daura and than a rolling stock construction factory in ogun state the plan for Aba is to be a textile and automotive hub for Nigeria and Africa as a whole |

SUFFERInSMILIIN: The rice is now been smuggled through the Waterways from Benin Republic and from Cameroon through the sea into Nigeria the biggest smuggled point is makoko slum. That is now the heart of where the rice is smuggled in to Nigeria by rickety boats because the place is Lawless and actually it is not governed by the Nigerian government but buy some Warlords Through makoko slum really do you know how far upstream that is |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Abohboy: 10:33am On Jan 01, 2020 |
rvp20182: From just Thailand and India alone - Benin import nearly 2M metric tonnes of parboiled rice. Of course for Nigeria market. Those are like 80,000 containers of rice or trailers. 40M 50kgs bags of rice.
http://www.airea.net/non-basmati-rice-exports/
Now add all the rest of countries Benin & Cameroon rice re-exporters are getting rice from and you'll see Gen Buhari regime much vaunted rice production is just baseless PROPAGANDA. That’s before the border closure wait until Q2 and you’ll see just how low the importation of rice in Benin would have gone |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Abohboy: 9:30am On Jan 01, 2020 |
rvp20182: Talk is cheap. 1) No manufacturing can happen in an environment where basic electricity is still rocket science - and where infrastructure has nearly totally collapsed. Once you fix electricity - you can talk about manufacturing. For now all those wet dreams about Longrich, Lekki and textiles are just tall tales
2) Agriculture - .Beyond the rosy make-believe stats - the real proof of the Nigerian pudding is in eating them. Food inflation has risen to nearly 15% - thanks to borde closure - because the rice scam run by your CBN doesn't translate to real production.
3) Your gov is BROKE - BANKRUPT. The federal gov of Nigeria is spending SHOCKING 75% of it's revenues to service debts. It has to borrow locally to pay salaries and pension. A broke gov cannot build infrastructure (capita expenditure) when it cannot meet recurrent expenditure. That is why your gov has resorted to asking Dangote to build roads for them. Fine than when 2025 comes we will see who’s country is better |

rvp20182: We shall check with Thais and Indians if Benin and Cameroon are still importing the parboiled rice they don't typical consume and see if the border closure has been effective or not.
Thai Rice Exporters still show Benin as the biggest rice importer...you know if Nigeria rice 'revolution of lies' is a success the pain will be felt in Asia.
http://www.thairiceexporters.or.th/export%20by%20country%202019.html And that’s why the deputy prime minister of Vietnam came to Nigeria and asked them to open the borders

rvp20182: Nigeria economy can be summarized by one word OIL.EIA forecasts a drop in oil prices in 2020- so you don't expect growth rate of 2% (less than pop growth rate of 2.5%) to miraculously start growing at 3.4%. We are diversifying the economy our manufacturing sector is seriously increasing we are bringing in longrich one of the largest cosmetics brands in the world and they are spending 550 million dollars to enter the African market through Nigeria and at least 75 more companies have bought their plots of land in the Lekki free trade zone and will start construction so as I said manufacturing sector is expanding infact it expanded by 80% last quarter, there is also textiles were coming for you we have started making textiles and clothes for Chinese company and soon by 2025 at least 4 million people will be employed in the textiles sector and it will generate 15 billion dollars Agriculture we have stopped the importation of rice saving us money added to that we are finally going to stop importing palm oil and start exporting 750 million dollar of palm oil rather next year than Russia is going to develop our wheat farming system and make us the largest producer of it in Africa, there are many other examples with tomatoes, pineapple, coffee, tea, chocolate, Shea, sorghum, Barley etc we are trying to be able to be self sufficient with the current food staples and that is happening Than in technology the government signed a contract with China which will be completed in 5 years to build over 200 000km of broadband cables around the country added to that the contract also includes setting up 5G and teaching 50 Nigerian students how to build and maintain the 5G telecom service So when is say we are leaving oil and that our economy is growing my guy just don’t try and Shawn e completely depend on oil we are very quickly diversifying and soon we will make it to the 1 trillion dollar economy mark most likely we’ll be the first in Africa |

rvp20182: 2020 prediction... Nigeria will struggle to grow at best 2% and at worst go back into recession as US shale shakes the oil export market. Kenya will grow by 6% recovering from interest rate capping as private lending resume. As for IMF colony going into elections with 13% currency depreciation..IMF will be back as early as last Q of 2020.Tanzania will continue to slide into dictatorship with economic growth less than Kenya More realistic prediction Nigeria's economy moves to grow at 3.4% as the manufacturing, agriculture and finance sector boom whilst oil would be down FDI would increase to 5 billion dollars with all the SEZs popping up around the country and with the completion of the Lagos-ibadan railway the ports in Lagos would be decongested saving companies more money Inflation would likely decrease to 11% and we would keep the borders closed to help with our agricultural and manufacturing reforms happening in the country |

A financial hub in a country that has a smaller gdp than a single city in Nigeria and it is a financial hub of the whole of the African continent please keep on dreaming all our banks are larger than yours and are listed on the London stock exchange three of them infact we are even buying up banking companies in Kenya so please don't tell me your the financial hub of Africa your just the financial hub of kenya not even east Africa dar es salaam will take that in a few years |

SUFFERInSMILIIN: My friend your news are very old.huawei move their headquarters from Nigeria to Ghana for West Africa.huawei is heavily concentrating on Ghanaian market.. that is why slot Nigeria you can only find huawei in their Lagos shop branches nowhere else. Lagos State has been put under the original zone of huawei West Africa which is controlled from Ghana. Sure the factory is nit even built yet it is still under construction secondly why was Nigeria the first country to test 5G in west Africa using huawei technology if huawei has moved to ghana than ghana would have been the first west Africa country to use 5G but no it was Nigeria because that is huawei’s base in west Africa and kind of Africa as a whole if you’d exclude Kenya and South Africa |

samorobo: That is just great.. as for me I feel Lekki will eventually settle herself to become a serious hub by it self...too many projects in that axis... Dangote refinery, Dangote fertilizer plant,IIBC,orange island, periwinkle, Lekki free trade zone, Lekki deepseaport, the proposed Lekki airport, alaro city....
let's give that axis ten years and she what it becomes Exactly this alone would make Lagos’s economy like the 3rd or 4th with the refinery producing 20 billion dollars, fertilizer plant producing 10 billion, the port producing over 450 billion dollars per year find 35% of that and that is how much money the government will make from it than include all the real estate opportunities there, the fishing industry, the tourism industry with the mangroves and beaches and finally add the smart city and we are looking at over 300 billion dollars in revenue for Lagos state alone meaning the economy of Lagos state alone would be larger than that of Kenya by 3-4 times, I swear that Lekki axis will quite literally be the Dubai if Africa the whole island area will just be like London or New York maybe even Dubai |
