Saddamochieng00: Huh, so you are one of those self proclaimed male feminist. Never thought I'd meet one especially on NL. I know we fight and all that but let me advice you for free. That shit is embarrassing bruh. You ain't gon get any free coochie just by supporting those brain-dead feminists. Woe unto you if you think you'll get laid just for supporting this cause. They'll leave you for that misogynistic Chad who publicly claims that women's place is in the kitchen.
Thanks in advance brother, I just saved you bigtime. I'm not a feminist but i'm also not mysognistic and I don't see the logic in following a mysognistic religion in 2021 but to each their own and how tf am I going to get laid when i'm not even 18 yet those aren't even in my plans |

mtisTheQubit: i feel my friend you've not read the real bible...lest start with so called hell..what is it... This what actually the bible says..
Those in hell are unconscious and so cannot feel pain. “There is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol.”—Ecclesiastes 9:10.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
Most of what we call christianity today is organized religion ..no different from Atheists..they lack spiritual knowledge.. Having no knowledge, wisdom and not working doesn't make you unconcious at all it just means your stupid and lazy and it is stupid and lazy people that go to hell generally but I don't believe in that stuff In my religion or the Orisha belief system transcriber talked about there's no hell and there's no concept of missionary work or trying to force your religion on others it has oonly become a thing now because the religion is under threat from deceit and lies from Christians the greatest one being of human sacrifice |

Ijaw is not the fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria for mouth. Actions speaks louder than words. The Bini are larger then the Ijaw it goes Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Bini then Ijaw |

kmcutez: What are you talking about? Ijaws are trying to claim all the sea coast land in the South south and I’m trying to say they should wait until Binis bring out their own ancient map. The Binis ownership of the sea coast land ends somewhere in Delta State and the Bini kingdom wasn't occupied fully by Bini people they conquered Igbo, Yoruba and Ijaw villages them conquering the lands doesn't mean the people living in those lands become Bini they're still Igbo, Yoruba or Ijaw as the region details and their current geographical spread is from Ondo state down to Rivers State so for the most part they do own most the coastal land of Nigeria but not all of it |

Bring out the historical maps then, we already brought out the lands that belonged to Igbos and we know the land of the Bini so why are you guys trying to claim more land of the Niger Delta people? |

What is this stupidity? Sierra Leone is made up of Yoruba freed men and native Mande people so how are they from there? They have a historical presence in Nigeria and they've even been named by Igbo and other groups around they were the ones producing salt on the Nigerian coast back in the 15th century and were documented by the Europeans they're land doesn't belong to Benin and do you even know how many boats you'd need and how many of them would have had to come into Nigeria for their population to be 4 million |

Chichiamaka92: Put your feelings aside and do some research. Of course we don’t look alike much due to the two groups splitting thousands of years ago. We do look alike for the most part it is only due to the lightskin nature of some Igbos that there is a clear difference but apart from that if you see a darker skinned Yoruba and Igbo next to each other you wouldn't be able to tell the difference |

Mkenya2019: We have gone through Nigeria in 10,000 pages. Conclusion you're one hopeless insecure and undeveloped country despite OIL, so much arable land, so much mineral despotis and name it. You're more DRC than any other country in Africa. I dont see any hope for your country - the problems besetting your are gigantic - fix insecurity first - then fix basic education - then fix health - and then maybe we can start to talk about having budget commensurate with 200M people.
Kenya is one Africa most progressive nations - 89 percent semi-arid - without any minerals - and yet it kick it arse - not in few sectors like Nigeria - but in nearly all sectors - kenya sits as the undisputed regional giant. Nigeria isn't hopeless and it's problems aren't major restructure the nation into 5 federated regions apoint prime ministers over each individual region give them fiscal autonomy and allow them to retain 60% of revenue made within their individual state also allow them to run their own policing systems etc. Draft a new constitution banning Sharia law and limiting the power of the president as well as enforcing education for all children everywhere in the country Reform the civil sector especially the police who need to be retrained but equally recurrent expenditure on the salary of civil workers is too much so some civil servants need to be laid off to reduce the amount of money being spent Once all those reforms are achieved we should see genuine progress across Nigeria in under 2 years but we'd need a party with this sole ideology to win a 2/3 majority across Nigeria otherwise these can't take place |

Maybe read the full verse instead of paraphrasing a couple of words and taking them out of context. Bring these verses then i've seen men should respect their wives but not men should submit themselves to their wives |

FYI the Torah has got nothing to do with Christianity. It belongs to the jews. They wrote it for their religion called Judaism. And contrary to popular belief it was not written by Moses. It was written by Ezra. The Torah is the old testament of the Christian Bible with a few extra teachings there's nothing to learn Odinani isn't the same as the Torah not even close |

So the verse where St Paul says women should be quiet in church and the other verse where is says women should be obedient and subservient to their husbands wasn't mysognistic to you? I mean I don't blame you it is up for interpretation but for me i'd rather more Africans become open to traditional religions and beliefs which have been ransacked and dirtied by Christianity and Islam |

Is it that there is no meaningful development over there that you have to steal other countries achievements. No wonder your countrymen are killing each other and doing all sorts of rituals just to get to foreign land. The truth be told, no sane Nigerian outside this thread can dare open their mouth and defend that mess of a country. Who says? I will defend Nigeria until it's undefendable and millions of Nigerians agree with me all I will say is don't worry this next election Nigerians are gearing up for something massive all we need is a great central power figure to bring together all the groups and I think this election might also be the first time an Igbo man becomes president of Nigeria so great things are about to begin |

The party which won majority in the parliament will continue to rule and leader of the party shall head the emerging government. The above post draws me back to question I asked earlier than if you belonged to this discuss. The premier was still voted into power not necessarily his party and the way things were going support of NPC was reducing |

Mkenya2019: I believe I speak for many Kenyans. I use to think Nigeria is very developed. In fact I was very proud of NIgeria. I use to think maybe they are just like India - with wandering spirit.
What will make Kenyans and rest of world respect Nigeria. Simple. Nigeria has to behave like a proper country. Nigeria have to be so happy with Nigeria they will even stop moving abroad.
It is not about hardware alone - it about software too. If you build the roads - you need to maintain them. There is no point building a road that you cannot even cut grass around it. I have seen Nigeria roads..very depressing. You cannot even trim grass on the tarmac. Look at any kenya road video....look at the grass...the bushes..trimmed..cleared...potholes fixed..name it.
These not even basics.
BASICS is to get EVERY NIGERIAN kid back to school. Social Investment in people education and healthcare. THIS IS WHERE GHANA DOES WELL. They dont do the hardware but admittedly they try HCI part. I'll take these recommendations onboard this question was more directed towards rvp though you and shma seem to be more sensible and reasonable in your opinions and views for the most part |

Out of curiosity let's say Nigeria gets a good leader and economic growth is highest in the world, budget increases to 90 billion dollars and over 50 000km of road are being paved across the nation along with 5 000km of railways would you the Kenyans be willing to admit that Nigeria is better then Kenya at that point in time or will you continue your waffling? |

Idiko1: Thanks!!! However you should have known Mazi Iheonukara Okpara was the premier of eastern region of Nigeria from 1959 to 1966. I know that i'm saying after his tenure would have ended which if i'm not mistaken would have been in 1967 unless they had 5 year terms and i'm sure after his tenure as eastern region premier he would have moved on to prime minister or premier of Nigeria seeing as he built massive industrial zones in all states, built ports, increased efficiency of agriculture and gave it machinery and on top of that he develop federal mortgage schemes to make buying housing easier for people in the eastern region and as premier he likely would have introduced same to the whole nation between him and Awolowo I think they'd have been the best leaders for Nigeria |

There's different types of change not all who stand up for change are delivering the change that is needed this will be the eighth time i've asked this question at least answer it this time If Nigerians have failed across the board to vote in good leaders how exactly will the formulation of ethnic states magically allow us to vote in good leaders and be developed? |

Igboid: Same country, different lingua Franca. Arabic for the North and English for the rest? Two irreconcilable civilizations, the Arabic-Islamic and Western Judeo-christian, coexisting in same country with Islamists accepting equality with infidels and not attempt to hoard power? Someone is living in Fantasyland again. Can you give me just one example of a country in the whole world where this particular arrangement exists with peace and prosperity?!Just one
Lol! Even your submission above has only proved why NIGERIA should not exist.
Islam does not allow infidels rulling children of Allah. Before Nzeogwu stupid coup, Balewa and Saraduna were already raising Adaka Boro and his Ijaw boys with weapons to distabilize the East like they did to the West with Akintola and his supporters. Zik would have ultimately ended up in Prison like Awolowo, it was only a matter of when and not if!
You lots are funny, someone even suggested that Awolowo trying to bring Western education to northern masses was a wrong move. Ihukwanum eshishi! Atajukwe, si buye unu! He was the one that suggested it in my opinion western education should be applied to all but for him Arabic education in the north and western education in the south that will only further divide us a firm stance needs to be made on western education for all |

AlexBells: I support Arabic education for the North or something like that but they need our support not the Awolowo style when you realise he just want to launch a literacy warfare against the Caliphate/Fulanis
Education is great but if the intention is not genuine then it must be rejected, there is no way I personally will support a system of education that I know would destabilise the North, Awolowo's intention was covered in dangerous emancipation, which even the British did not instigate against the North
The Igbos and the North would always be better at respecting each other's space, if Nzeogwu did not lead the coup, I know that we could have been dealing with Northern terrorism from time to time
But it could have stayed in the North and once the Military could have stopped the terrorism if the system was not destroyed to this nepotistic one we have today the Igbos could have constituted the majority of the Military elite squad as it was
Nigeria's problem is quite simple but deeper than ordinary politicking can solve it first understanding our differences it is not even too late to stop the terrorism in the North, Terrorism in the north is largely due to unemployment and lack of education make everybody literate to some degree whether english or arabic and make sure to invest heavily in agriculture, mining and manufacturing and the north should run terrorism out of its system in 10 years or less |

AlexBells: The North had told you they don't western education and the earlier we stop forcing that down their throats the better It's the exact same way that the leaders of a lot of kingdoms in Igbo land didn't want Western education or culture in his land but look at the benefits it has given us today. The north will eventually get universal education it's not possible for them to not be educated and it doesn't even have to be western they can be taught in Arabic language and script but the ultimate point is that they should be literate and educated this is what Aminu Kano was trying to achieve but the top crop of Northern leaders were against it. |
