Politics / Re: Lai Mohammed: Jonathan Behind My Arrest By Military by Abraham2013(m): 6:25pm On Aug 10, 2014
PassingShot: PDP loyalists and sympathizers are pathetic. You now insult and condemn the man instead of addressing the grave issue at hand.

Answer these questions:

1. Was Lai whisked away by masked military men or not?
2. Did GEJ/PDP arrest many APC leaders on the eve of the election and on election day or not?
3. Was sending the huge number of military personnel to Osun not meant to intimidate the voters and rig the election or not?
4. Is PDP playing divisive politics by demonizing APC as Islamic party or not?

There are many sins against the PDP and by the grace of God, their leaders will be held accountable at some point.
Bros don't worry d next election in edo state come 2016, u will not see a single police, civil defense, army, navy or airforce around edo state. Den u will see d real rigging n thugs in action. Hope u will not cry foul den.

Americans will always be there to save the world, no matter the hate they receive from the people.
I rather say americans will always be dere to take advantage of d world cos americans invented both d ebola and also d cure. Its like in computer, d companies dat make anti-virus also produces virus. Dey just create demand by introducing d virus n supply by selling d anti-virus. My broda if only u know how much is involved in dis business of vaccine and cure production, u will understand beta.

cronsberg: Here is their plan. REintroduce ribadu into the PDP, then quickly and shabily give him the governorship ticket without due process, by then adamawa state APC would have already conducted primaries and chosen a governorship candidate(ribadu was the strong man there, so without him, APC will have no option but to field a weak candidate), then some topshots will claim ribadu was illegally given the PDP ticket, that they want a rerun primaries by which they will use to reclaim there ticket back and hand it over to Marwa who by then will have no strong contender and will win a landslide and sideline ribadu to the gutters. So the poor ribadu will end up with neither PDP nor APC governorship ticket grin

I hope the guy will be wise enough not to fall for this cheap trick

I tink ihanacho will be beta in d attacking midfield role more dan mikel cos ihanacho is more adventitious dan mikel and also he has more dribbling skills dan mikel. Health / Re: Why We Can’t Call Off The Strike Because Of Ebola Outbreak – Lagos Medical Docto by Abraham2013(m): 12:13pm On Jul 26, 2014
deols: The doctors make demands. The government should reason and provide them for the benefit of all.

Doctors work 24/7 taking care of their patients but these patients seem to care less about what happens to those doctors.

In Liberia, the chief doctor in charge of treating people with the Ebola is said to be under treatment for the same ebola virus.

How can a Nigerian doctor, who was never appreciated all the while, go ahead and be involved when all of their demands for better healthcare infrastructure, for remuneration and for the protection of the dignity of their practice have been denied them. The same Nigerian populace, who suffer more from all these should be drumming the need to see to the needs of the doctors into the government's ears but they are too driven by sentiments and their judgemental attitude to see what is really going on.

People are dying in case none is close to you due to these strikes and the doctors have nothing to lose since the private hospitals are owned by them. Nigerians should be asking the government to do what is right!

Nurses, pharmacists etc are not consultants. They are doing almost nothing at the hospitals right now.

The dignity of the great profession must be protected.and Doctors have every right/conscience to do that.

The government has to see reason and the populace need to be reasonable as well.

God bless Nigeria.

Nairaland / General / Re: Nigerian Troops Kill Sheik Zakzaky’s Son, Others In Zaria by Abraham2013(m): 11:40am On Jul 26, 2014
Lawprince: Haba!!! I just got convinced that the problem with Nigeria is beyond its leadership. Citizens with no smallest sense of sympathy for humanity and human rights are the main reason why we deserve the demonic leadership we get. Our tribalism and religious sentiments have been more of an instrument of discord in the hands of the devil that Godliness.

Nigeria is peculiar in the sense that in no part of the world in no part of the world today will its people support any such clam down on any citizen's right to life and human dignity with so much pride and fulfilment as has just been displayed by many Nairalanders on this thread. If the attack had been against armed militants in support of Biafra or Oduduwa or something else, the reaction we will give will vary depending on what sentiment we are inclined to. This 'Nigerian' orientation is indeed very sad.

I hope a time comes when the Northerners will have respect for the lives and rights of the Southerners, and the Southerners will equally see lives as equal. When a Nigerian Muslim will see it as a duty to protect his Christian neighbours and vice versa.

But until then, we all remain indirect subjects of Shekau in line with our ideologies. The only difference between us and Abu Qaqa is that he is on the field and we are not. In fact, our ideologies only makes us a civilian wing of the Boko Haram.

God save Nigeria.

To b candid the 2010 team is nt much different from the 2014 team. The Sani Keita kick cost us a 2nd round qualification. If we had won dat Greece match which we were on course to do b4 the Keitastrophy the 2-2 draw against S.Korea would have been enough for Nigeria to go through. Talking abt the US team of 2010, I can't categorically tell whether we would have beaten them or nt. Just like asking whether the Ghana team of 2014 could have beaten the French team of 2014. Football is no mathematics, book makers have been proven wrong on several occasions in the WC.
Bros u don't enta a gladiators fight with a tooth pick and expect come out alive. Keshi was clearly responsible for d dismal performance of d SE by his sentimental player selection. If dere is anytin dis just concluded world cup taught is dat u can beat any team if u work hard enough. If would hav won d france game if keshi is a bit technically sound. D same mistakes he made @ d confed cup was d same mistake he made @ d world cup. Afterall wen he won d AFCON, he took all d glory, now dat he did badly @ d world cup, he should also take d blame.

The earlier you people realise dat Nigeria is nt among d power houses in football the better. U can't simply give what u dnt have. We simply lack that quality to go beyond where we got to.

Yes, 3 African teams have made it to d quarter finals. Check out d teams dey played in 2nd round:
Cameroun vs Colombia
Senegal vs Sweden
Ghana vs USA.

Forget FIFA ranking we know d top 8 footballing nations in the world. And imho they in no particular order are:
Brazil
Germany
Spain
Argentina
Italy
Holland
France
England or Portugal.

If any of d ealier mentioned African team had had to play any of these top 8/9 teams in the 2nd round do u think history would b what it is today?

African teams simply lack what it takes to go beyond d quarter finals. They only get to d quarter finals when dey play against a Grade B team in likes of Colombia, Sweden and USA.
Sincerely speaking, in 2010 do u tink dat d SE of 2010 would hav defeated d USA team of 2010?

Mcweber: talking bout Costa Rica, they played well and that doesn't mean the super eagles had a poor tournament. if we had a poor tournament, what bout Italy, England with their army of stars scored only 2 goals in the competition , the same number of goals our very own Musa scored in the competition and even Portugal with their world best all left the competition at the group stage and not to talk of the Spanish team that had a disastrous outing at the mundial. And we loosing to a better team isn't really a bad outing.........not like we were expecting the boys to bring back the trophy
Bros dere is a difference between playing well and losing with playing badly and losing. Nobody will say algerians did not giv dere best b/cos dey played well and lost. In any game, dere must be a winner and a loser, buh d most important tin is dat u play to d best of ur abilities.
Secondly if u giv an example of big teams dat crashed out in d 1st round, wat of d big teams dat got to d semi final and win it nko?

How can you be talking like this? Was Nigeria nt in control until Nigeria's Midfield strong room, Onazi, was pulled down?

Besides, u cannot compare the calibre of players the French paraded to that of Nigeria. U know na.
That's y as said we got as far as the quality we had in the team. That team was nt a quarter final material.
so y den did we hav substitute bench if not to bring on a player dan can perform up ot or beta dan d one dat is taking off? Mind u germany lost a player in d 1st half in d final game against argentina and still went on to win d game. Are also aware dat france lost frank ribery on d eve of d world cup, did u hear anybody in france using dat as an excuse?

Oga, Super Eagles did not have a poor performance at the WC.Were u expecting them to lift the Cup? Imho, Nigeria got as far as they can get with the crop of players they have.

Round of 16 is just a fair result.
-Was dat crop of players d best we hav?
-Other countries dat got to d semi finals, did dey use players wit 4 legs?
-so u consider a tournament were u finished behind costa rica successful?
-can u compare d performance algeria and nigeria? Bear in mind dat both teams finished in d round of 16
-wen keshi was going to d world cup, d nff set a semi final target 4 him. Did he achieve his target? If no, wat was responsible 4 him not achieving d target set 4 him?
-if dis ur keshi did so well, y hav'nt order teams signed him yet? Bear in mind dat algerian coach hav since signed up wit anoda team.
