Why are we obsessed with Tinubu? It is becoming too childish. We are not marketing anybody from the east, but everyday Tinubu this and Tinubu that. Very bad politics.

majority of the youth have been distracted by tinubu candidacy. Nigeria politic is now filled with tribalism, religion. nobody is demanding good governance again, all what we now care about is nepotism., hatred.

pashiano:

After reading the first ten comment, I came to the conclusion that comprehension is not really easy, PDP be making a very serious and valid claim. in summary PDP is saying that a party can not function without elected executive, so therefore, since APC dissolved it's executive and put up am emergency committee to run it's convention, the committee's action in organizing conventions and primaries are null and void as they are not elected officials and are not backed by law to carry out the function they are doing now. Thanks

you are the one who is confused like PDP as a party
buni lead committee is running the party on ACTING CAPACITY WHICH INEC RECOGNISED

People just comment without reading or having a full understanding of the content of this post. A supreme court decision had already established the illegality of Governor Buni chairing the affairs of APC as it negates the provisions of the constitution of the country as well as APC constitution. Trust me, since that court judgement, I have held the fear that APC ceases to be a political party and that's what PDP is reaffirming. This calls for great concerns and not name calling.

you that read and still not understand. is there difference between acting chairman and substantial chairman ? if yes asked PDP if they are making sense

With this landmark, the wealth and economy of south west is now in control of one man, not hating but this is a stark reality at hand that we cannot deny. When the Refinery is finnished by the end of the year, the total wealth of one Fulani man in south west esp Ogun and Lagos should be nearing 40%, dwarfing the partly 25% of the ipobians igbos control and the Lebanese/Indians/Chinese 15% Very soon. This guy will call a shot of what happens in Lagos or any other western states especially political and economic decisions. South west benefits as this are all sited in their land but the implication as always seen by outsiders as weaklings or people that are economically conquered by non indigenes will ever remain with them. A typical Hausa Fulani man are bolden in these zones because they are seeing their sons as the ones that are in charge of another man's land. Their migration will doubled and there is nothing we can do about it.
While south west economy is almost entirely run by non indigenes or foreigners with a huge growth, SE economy is almost entirely indigenous and home grown economy. Local manufacturers are dominant with local technology been harnessed while SW economy is dominant with foreign expatriates. While Igbo totally dominates 100% of their economic/technological space, SW own is been devoured by A single man called Dangote presently, a single tribe called Igbo and a tripartite foreigners India/Lebanese/Chinese chain. I hope these trend of development with not stir more envy or jealousy from the accommodators.
I wish all good for Naija.

I don't know where you people get your statistics from?

that Ibo control 25% of Lagos economy and Indian , Lebanese , China control 15%

Politics / Percentage Salary Paid By Kogi Govt Can’t Cover Our Transport by abu12: 7:02am On Mar 14, 2022
Primary healthcare workers across the 21 local
government areas of Kogi State have decried the
continued payment of percentage salaries in the state.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday, the State
Secretary of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria
(MHWUN), Comrade Rose Momoh, said primary health
workers in the local governments have been collecting 30
to 35 percent salaries for the past two years.
Momoh said the salary Kogi state government is paying
health workers at the local government level cannot take
care of their transport from home to workplace, not to talk
of bringing food on the table for the family to survive.
She added that the health workers had the worst recently
when they were paid 25 percent of their January salary in
2022.
”We can no longer bear this continuous hardship we are
facing. Health workers risk their lives every day to safe
others, yet, their salary is nothing to write home about.
Who have we offended? Is this what is obtainable in other
states?
“Our demands is that, the government should complete
the process of Primary Health Care under one roof and
move the PHC workers and their salaries to State Primary
Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA) immediately.
We are also demanding that primary health care workers
be paid 100 percent like their State counterparts,” the
statement added.

The union appealed to Kogi state government and health
partners in the state to come to their aid as they continue
to lose their members on daily basis due to hardship the
percentage salaries has posed on them.
MHWUN threatened that health workers across the LGAs
will down tool if their demands for improved salary is not
met by the state government.

Politics / Bello Has Graduated From Zero To Paying Kogi Workers Salaries In Percentages by abu12: 10:02pm On Mar 11, 2022
A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi
state, Usman Okai Austin has called on Governor Yahaya
Bello to develop the culture and habit of treating workers
well in the state and local government as that is the only
way of stimulating the economy.

Speaking with our reporter on Wednesday, Okai said Bello
has graduated from paying zero to percentage salaries.
He insisted that there is no justification for the continued
payment of percentage salaries to workers in Kogi state.
He lamented that the anti-civil servants posture of the
Bello-led administration is taking a toll on the state’s
economy and making life unbearable for many.

Okai said “a civil servant told me today in Lokoja that ‘I
keep borrowing from friends. I have to borrow to survive
until my salary is paid, then when the salary is paid I have
to use the money to settle my debts. I can’t help anybody,
I can’t pay my house rent, I can’t do anything. It’s very
difficult for me to even come to work.’
“Another woman who also disclosed her experience said ‘I
can’t even feed myself’.

“After spending the whole of his first term in office
engaging in screening exercise, Bello have no justifiable
excuse for not paying workers their full salaries.

“After receiving full months allocation, it is sad that
Governor Yahaya Bello is paying workers 25%. Some get
50% and another category 75%, according to the
information at my disposal,” he said.

Okai said workers in the state are currently bearing great
financial burdens and if the situation is not well managed
can lead to serious health complications as some of them
relies solely on salary for survival.

“It is unfortunate that in Kogi state now, the negative trend
in the public sector is replicated by private businesses, but
their employees are rarely featured in the news. Their
plight is considered part and parcel of working life in Kogi
state.”
