The Bauchi State House of Assembly has adopted a motion calling on the State Government and management of Bauchi State University, Gadau, (BASUG) to as a matter of urgency pull out of the lingering ASUU strike. The Assembly adopted the motion following the presentation of the motion by the member representing Ganjuwa East, Gazali Abubakar Wunti calling on the concerned authorities to immediately reopen the University and call back staff and students to school for continuation of the 2020/2021 academic session. While leading debate on the motion, Gazali Abubakar explained that the strike embarked upon by ASUU had negative effects on students, parents, lecturers and entrepreneurs that have their sources of income rooted in the various campuses. He added that students had been psychologically depressed and lost hope in Nigeria’s western education system. According to the member, Bauchi State is one of the Educationally Disadvantaged States with a whopping 1.2 million out of school children from the 10.5 million in the whole country. He therefore opined that such industrial action would have negative effects on the state, saying that Nigerians no longer have faith in the struggle, they are against ASUU’s unwarranted interest to accept government’s offer of take-it-or-leave-it. According to him, “Nigeria as a Federal state has 3 tiers of government. The three tiers work independently but it is in the nation’s interest to have mutual understanding and work concurrently. It is therefore unreasonable for the State University to continue on that lane. “Let’s be honest, there is only so much that a group of patriotic citizens can do in defence of a public that does not appreciate their struggle. Because they are not super humans, lecturers are bound to throw in the towel at some point if the government continues with this war”, he added. Gazali Abubakar further said that, “However the State University had continued to benefit from Federal Government intervention such as TETFUND, NEEDS Projects which are all as a result of the ASUU’s struggles, but it calls for deeper reflection when it seems like they are going too far.” |

Since Buhari has been the most mentioned name in Nigeria this past year, I think Oxford Dictionary should consider creating a space for him in the dictionary. For example: Buhari: /bu-ha-ri/ adjective: hard, difficult. .Verb: buhari. . Past Tense: buharied . Present Continuous: buharying . Present Perfect: buharise E.g: ... Some girls always like to buharise things ... The test was buharistic. ... I had a very buharied week. ?? #Buhari: To complicate, make things worse, unbearable. E.g: ... Please don't come and buharificate issues here. ... The only way to reduce applicants is to buharify the process. ... How was your exam? It was buharific! ... |

Check out what people noticed about this lady shoes that caused a stir on social media. In proverbs, larger female feet typically refer to something else rather than simply being considered a sexual turnoff. In a metaphor, women's little feet represent "the right measure" in marriages. According to the study, a size five shoe, three-inch heels, and red toenail polish make up the ideal woman's foot. According to a survey, men regard size five feet, like those of Sophia Loren, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, and Victoria Loren, to be the most seductive. We all know that wearing shoes that are too tight can harm your feet and cause conditions like calluses, bunions, and blisters. However, walking in an abnormal or dysfunctional manner will result from wearing shoes that are too big. Serious foot issues may result from this. Men claimed to prefer women's feet in general over men's feet. In general, men and women preferred huge feet in males, but petite feet in women. The size of one's own feet seems to correlate with assessments of attractiveness; in particular, women with small feet liked women with small feet in general. Speaking of big feet, this lady caused a stir on social media, when she posted her picture wearing a sneaker , but people noticed the size that is big for a lady.

It is crucial at this moment to know who is holding the students of public universities from resuming their classes if it is the Federal Government (FG) or the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The prolonged strike embarked by ASUU has made students stay beyond their time at home and delay finishing their studies. It is over four months since the warning strike and the students are eager to know if they would be returning to school or not. ASUU stated that it had made a presentation to the Federal Government's team, which was set up to renegotiate the 2009 agreements. The panel had also reported back to the FG. ASUU made it clear that it had nothing else to add as all have been presented and they are waiting for the government to act so that they will know the next step to take. At this point, the ball is in the court of the government which will decide to act appropriately so that students can get back to classes or otherwise and the strike lingers with students being held back at home. The issue of the incessant strike has become part of Nigeria's schedule or calendar, especially for public institutions. This can be erased seeing that this affects millions of students and youth. If the students are continuously held back at home, the future is bleak for the country, and seeing how insecurity has plunged the country into a state of unrest with everyone's hearts in their mouths. Students should not be held at ransom again with all the inconsistencies and hiatus in our educational system. If we want to achieve one of the sustainable development goals, which is quality education, students must be prevented from being held by the strike which is indirectly pointing to the failure of the government to meet the demands of the union. The students are tired and frustrated with the strike and will need not be held back again at home. Education is the right of every student and child and they must not be held back by industrial action or the inability to meet the needs of the institutions.

A member of the National Caucus of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Sam Nkire has called on the Federal Government to consider banning the Academic Staff Union of Universities, saying it was hampering clog the development of university education in Nigeria. In a statement made available to Vanguard on Wednesday in Abuja, Nkire said for many decades, ASUU had turned itself into a tool for destruction by its frequent strikes which have become a habit, rather than a development partner to the Nigerian university system. The APC Chieftain said “I believe our university system can run better without the disruption from ASUU which has turned itself into an employee intent on destroying the company”. He added that all university staff came to work from various locations as individuals, adding that, “it is unacceptable for a group of individuals to gang up to determine whether and when Nigerians go to the university or not. According to him, “it is the duty of the Federal Government not to allow ASUU or any other workers’ union to bring the government to it’s knees, cripple the economy and shut down the society.” However, Nkire said he was not oblivious of most of the problems being encountered by the Universities and their teachers, but urged ASUU to put into account the challenges and numerous problems facing Nigeria and most countries in the world. He advised ASUU and all other institutions which have embarked on any form of industrial action to consider the plight of their students and members and go back to work, adding, “ASUU has made it’s point and government and the people have heard them”. |

There are a lot of misbehaviors in him that are associated with too much alcohol and drugs This young boy needs to be taken care of before he get himself damaged all in the name of fame . In an interview with Afrimax English, Maureen shared how it all happened Afrimax gathered that Maureen who is the first born out of four children became an orphan when she was just nine years old and there was no one to take good care of her and her siblings. When she turned 15, she got married so that she could have someone who would help her take care of her siblings. After she got married, her husband became obsessed with her and guarded her jealously. He forbade her from talking to other men and would always lock her up in the house whenever he goes to work Maureen who felt like a prisoner in her husband's house questioned his attitude and he told her that he was scared of losing her to another man. He also told her that instead of seeing her with another man, he would rather kill her but she didn't think he meant what he said After giving birth to four children (one later died) Maureen told her husband that she wanted to work so that she would earn money to support the family and to her surprise, he agreed. He asked her to prepare food for him before embarking on her journey and while she was cooking, his second wife brought a cutlass for him and he used it to cut her until she passed out. Thinking that she was dead, her husband drank poison to end his own life but he didn't die. He later reported himself to the police and told them to lock him up because he didn't want to live without Maureen. Meanwhile, Maureen was rushed to the hospital and she survived, however, she lost an eye and several fingers in the attack by her husband.
