Hello, I would like to get more information in setting up a Group of companies in Nigeria. For example; Dangote Group, UBA Group and so forth. What is the process of having a Group of Companies? What is the advantage and disadvantages? Any Tax Benefit? Would be glad to get Nairalanders with information regarding company registration to orient me more on this. |

They should play politics with maturity. |
In democracy, we all have freedom of expression. The manner some Nigerians criticise Bishop Kukah because he advised our President is unfortunate. That President Buhari is upright does not mean he won't make mistakes. We should encourage people to criticise the Government actions that are not fair and just for all. Bishop Kukah have done a lot for the progress and unity of Nigeria. |
When we talk about corruption in Nigeria, many did not know how deep it's. Why will the IG of police suddenly redeploy police officers serving in EFCC for over 5 years? If this news is real, there is more to it. The confidence in which my mr George Ubor defended his accusation of EFCC during Senate committee is not ordinary. Mr Ubor came with piles of bank statements and data's. He boasted that he should be sent to jail if his allegations and facts are false. The confidence of mr Ubor gave me some concern. Though, this latest development may be unconnected with Ubor accusation of EFCC boss; but in Nigeria anything is possible. |
We must not forget to also acknowledge Former Governor Peter Obi who left $86bn (Eighty six billion dollars) in Government treasury. A man who saved 10% of Anambra allocation monthly and never owed any salary neither did him borrow any money. Those shameless states owing salaries for months should consult Peter Obi how he did it. Governor Obiano have enough money to sustain the State Economy and also support small and medium businesses for more growth. |
My fellow Nigerians, its too early to cause a friction between the President and his VP. Professor Osinbajo is an intelligent man but not a politician. The manner he was disrespected by Senator Saraki shows that he will be treated as Tinubu boy. This is not good for our democracy and present administration. The office of the Vice President must be respected. |
President Buhari have always maintained that he has no interest in who became the leaders of the National Assembly. What I observe from the whole scenario is that President Buhari is finding it difficult to become a party man. He's acting like a one man squad. He traveled to UK seven days to his inauguration without informing his party leaders. These are not good omen. One thing is certain, "The present National Assembly Leaders are constitutionally Elected" and can only be removed through impeachment. There is nothing APC can do except they want the party to implode sooner than expected. When heavyweights APC members like Atiku, Wamakko, Kwankwaso, Dino Melaye, Yerima are with Saraki; APC should call for a peace meeting immediately before this Mantra of CHANGE become a fad. |
Tinubu men wanted to manipulate President Buhari to support their chosen candidate by scheduling an unexpected emergency meeting on Tuesday 9am while the election was supposed to take place 10am same Tuesday. They wanted President Buhari to go against his word of not interfering with who emerges as Senate President and Speaker of the House. Intervention meeting By Vice President Yemi did not yield the expected result. I'm not a member of any political party but a concern Nigerian. The era of imposition of candidates by certain powerful interest must be discouraged in our polity if we are to expect CHANGE. |
APC wanted to scheme out the defectors from PDP but the game plan did not work out. They should be careful in order to avoid early implosion. |
Look strange to me. What about those that promise blood in 2011 and came to pass with over 1000 death including innocent youth corpers |

I understand why Tinubu is fighting over this documentary. Anyone familiar with propaganda and perception management will understand that this documentary will cost APC lot of damage both at the National and State level. I have heard lots of people who were supporting Buhari CHANGE their mind after watching the documentary. They have vowed to ensure Agbaje is elected as Lagos State Governor in order to liberate the state from self imposed "Emperor" Tinubu threatened with 20 billion law suit and now he has petitioned NBC. The documentary really touched a nerve. How are which the documentary can be uploaded online for the world to watch and decides the kind of CHANGE they intend to see in Nigeria. |
Very impressive courage display by our troops and President GEJ. #NeverAgain |
I love this. A good development. OBJ could not build a single road in his hometown. For eight years, Ore to Benin road was a death trap but today, those that travel by roads can testify. During OBJ tenure, it takes 3 hours from Ore to Benin but today, within 45 minutes you can reach Benin from Ore. We hate the truth but light will always overcome darkness no matter the propaganda. |

Those funding Bokos mean business but they will be crushed |
There are too many facts in this article that one should not ignore. Buhari has run for the presidency on three earlier occasions. On those occasions, he did not contravene any law with regard to his non-existent certificates because there were no provisions for them. However, with the new Electoral Act, there is now a requirement for proof of credentials. But instead of providing his certificates to INEC, as now required by law, Buhari deposed in an affidavit at a High Court in Abuja that: “All my academic qualifications documents as filled in my presidential form, President APC/001/2015, are currently with the Secretary, Military Board as of the time of presenting this affidavit.” This affidavit has turned out to be false. The military board says it does not have Buhari’s academic qualification credentials. That means Buhari committed perjury when he swore on oath that the military has them. As a matter of fact, the military board does not even have the photocopies of Buhari’s credentials because he did not submit them when he enrolled into the Nigerian Army. Maybe Buhari expected the military to let sleeping dogs lie about this. However, the Nigerian Army released the following statement which quickly gave the lie to Buhari’s affidavit: “It is a practice in the Nigerian Army that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the Service; the Selection Board verifies the original copies of credentials that are presented. However, there is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s. Neither the original copy, Certified True Copy (CTC); nor statement of result of Major General M Buhari’s WASC result, is in his personal file.” Buhari statements do not add up. Olisa Agbakoba SAN also made mention of this last 2 weeks on Channels TV. |
As the Judiciary called off the strike, I knew this will happen. |
In as much as I don't support Asari Dokubo and Ayodele Fayose recent actions, someone must be able to advice our Northern brothers to rebrand from violence to peace loving people. It was actually a bad PR for APC what happen in Katsina and Bauchi. If their supporters cannot listen to their advice, how would they be able to lead the entire Nation when they get to power. Violence for violence does not solve any problem but will lead to dangerous escalation. Rwanda Genocide in my Mind (God forbid) When Lai Mohammed accuse Dokubo about the Arm deal in South Africa last year, Dokubo openly said he will physically attack Lai Mohammed. Alhaji Lai Mohammed have to plead with the Presidency to caution Dokubo because he's known to carry out whatever threat he makes. The Presidency intervene unofficially . Why can't Buhari and APC ask their Northern followers to be peaceful. Why must they be pampered when they cause chaos with the usual statement "Na so they be". This must STOP in order to avoid an emerging crisis.Nobody should underrate Dokubo and Fayose. During Obasanjo tenure, Dokubo moves around Portharcourt with AK47 and bullet vest and the authorities could do nothing. His boys engage the Nigeria state in guerilla warfare and oil production was reduced to 700,000 barrels per day. This guy is tested and trusted with violence, I don't want to see that side of him anymore. Fayose on the other hand is tested and trusted. With the kind of things he has done in the past, I don't think he's scared of death. He's the only one that can be bold enough to attack Buhari the way he did in the past one week without any fear. He openly confronted OBJ even when he was not Governor with so much courage and audacity. Despite the cult following of Buhari, Fayose dared him and continue to do so. Asari Dokubo and Ayodele Fayose are 2 lions the Presidency should caution. They are capable of fomenting trouble due to the unwarranted provocation from our Northern brothers. I don't want to experience war. I'm not a coward but war is not a party. I experience a little crisis in 1999 where light weapons were used and I can testify that War is dangerous and everyone loose at the end of the day. The signs in Nigeria are not good ones. We must not add to the problem through Social Media. |
Cheap propaganda. How much will it cost me to print such a banner, stand it and snap the banner in order to upload on Social Media? With less than 10K, I can achieve that. Nigerians should be wiser now and not accept all the shits they receive daily on social media, electronic and print media. Campaigning with obvious lies and deceit will never help in electoral victory. Ekiti is a case study for Political Science students. |
rhames:Kindly refer me to a master of the game. I live in Lagos and have been researching on how to trade on USA stocks. I hope it won't be contradicting to be using a Nigeria International passport and a rented USA Address because I guess that address will not be on the passport. Enlighten me more on this. |
