I am pleased to announce to this honorable forum that i have joined the league of MPPT owners. Thanks to Oga George, Totalgreen, Bodejohn, Ilenaira and Earthrealm for their wonderful support and encouragement. I did the installation yesternite........pictures to be uploaded. |
Uasther: It is easy to Install and does not need an expertpls give an email for enhanced corresponence. |
odilibe: LOL...Am highly impressed........George_D ure simply........datz all........oga@d top...lol |
ile naira: @abunafiu, I have two of these and I chose them on the bang per buck appeal, spec, and my communications with their support techies. Also, I wouldn't buy from reseller if I were you, I'd go to the manufacturers for all the support it entails. Send me your mail and i can put you in touch with them. They do an equivalent without all the interface too if you don't need the extra bells and whistles at a cheaper price. Thanks ile naira........i still look forward to other forum members view on the etracer mppt...thanks |
pls, i need honest advice on etracer mppt, i learnt there are fake morning star products in the market........http://www.belismart.com/et6415n-etracer-mppt-solar-controller.html Yhanks |
bodejohn: You sure need the mppt charger for your batteries.pls, i need ur email addy.......mine is xxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com..kindly send me a mail so i can reply. |
bodejohn: I got my panels here in Ibadan, it's difficult to carry they higher watt panels because the are bigger than what a saloon car can carry. The panels are poly crystalline and i think they are branded some thing like Emerald. My 30Amps MPPT charge controller is from China, about 50k with dhl shipping, I have no idea what it costs in Lagos. I am sure other members of the forum can help you out on the price.@bodejohn, kindly give the link of ur mppt.......i want 2 check it out. i just lost my pwm. thanks....i need ur email adddy too. |
alstacs: Just registering my presence for now. You're welcome brov, on behalf of every one i say thanks for the compliments. You see, the knowledge is due to d fact that most of us started small and have made one mistake or the other which had made us strong. Secondly, we share knowledge here as no man is an island...So feel free to ask and pls dont forget to post ur discoveries because others too will surely benefit. My advice is that u start small bearing in mind what ur future target is going to look like. For example, get an inverter first(depending on d load u wish 2 power) and suitable batteries and then start using so you can learn by urself how 2 manage the installation(effective usage)......then after some time depending on ur financial power, you start stocking the panels(small small)....in a short while you'll be there too.. George D,my self and many others did the same.... You are most welcome. |
jayboskie7: abunafiu,Please i will need this joy solar panel and the telecom batteries you are talking about. Please kindly give me ur fone number so that we can start from there.here is my email addy:jaybolar@gmail.com.U got mail......check ur inbox. |
badaru1: Please I need recommendation on good battery to buy for inverter,I have been buying batteries but I have been able to get any that last for more 1 and 1/2 years. I need atleast 2 200AH batteries@badru, whats ur location.if ure in kwara or osun, then i may be of help. i have a contact for very reliable telecomms battery....if u dont mind. |
bodejohn, actually, i wouldn't need this many panels if my panels were to be installed optimally. but there you are. we don't live in a perfect world. the only other option would have been to adopt akanniade's method of installing on a shed where i'd have the freedom to determine optimum inclination and orientation for the panels without being limited by roof structure. but then i don't have the luxury of space to do that.
@ oga george, i sent u a PM. waiting 4 ur reply sir |
Damoty: Spartacus is action season film dat u can predict and u know dat someone need to die, Game of thrones is real epic series movie, suspense, betraying, action, and well planned. E.g since d beginning d̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣ show white walkers and again once in season2 and d end of season3 we know dat white walkers are more dan thousands. I like spartacus but is not even in my second best I prefer walking dead over because from beginning is no dulling and is full of suspence too. Game of throne all d wayis season 3 of game of thrones out. pls i need a link to read abt it. Thanks. |
sure.....sony bravia all d way. i use 40EX710. i enjoy my screen. |
bodejohn: Ok, very good. Try and get a mppt charge controller and you will you come back here to give a testimony. I use 6 pieces of 120watt panels on 6 batteries and i get a full charge almost the same time you do with your setup.Thaks 4 d reply, i wish i could afford one MPPT 60A. pls how much do u think i can get one in lagos. Whats d make of ur panels, i mean mono, poly or what......sharp, suntech or what... Thanks. Enjoy d rest of d weekend, |
bodejohn: I was not saying that your panels are fake. I also trust that you are satisfied with the performance of the panels. I was just making a general note of caution.@Bodej Honestly, am getting satisfaction from my set up. I use 40A PWM controller currently. i cooldnt afford an MPPT now, may be later, Thanks. |
bodejohn: A word of caution on these cheap panels.@bodejohn, i corrently use 8 of such panels (120w), I also use four 155AH batteries. I comfortably use my fridge(330W) from 7am to 3pm(subject to sun brightness). My batt bank usually indicate batt full arround 2-3pm daily(depending on sun br). My controller usually read 24.7V every morning(6.30am). so u see that i hardly drain my batt bank with my 120W LED 40in TV, 200W sound system and a fan(usually on btw 6pm and 11pm daily) but the fan runs till day brake. So i think the panels are quite efficient. I know all these because i was once a victim of fake 200w panel which could only charge a motor cycle 7AH 12v batt. So give it a try but make sure ure buying from source. i hope to post pics as soon as i get batteries for my camera. |
hello akanniade, these are the days we been waiting for indeed! looks like i need to stock up on suntech panels once again. kindly hook me up to your contact in lagos. thanks!
Oga George, if u dont mind i got my JOY SOLAR panels (120W) very cheap, i can give u my contact in lagos. I also sent easter greetings 2 ur 0807xxxxxxxx50 number but got delivery report failed. Do av a nice weekend sir. |
abunafiu: I am a newbee in d solar stuff. i have been using a 1500watts PVtronics inverter with 2 pieces of 12v 100ah bluegate batteries for over 8 months and no regrets. Due to the recent transformer failure in my area, i recently got 6 pieces of 120w joy solar panels and a 40A PWM komaes charge controller. So far so good as i run my 300w lg fridge for 2hrs daily usually 11am to 1pm. pls any additional info on how 2 enjoy my set up is highly appreciated.Oga George, thanks for the call u made on getting my missed call.
