28 years old Former Super Eagles left-back Taiye Taiwo has been hit with tax fraud charges of over 1 million Euros in France, and could lose his Marseille mansion.
A Marseille court has already started judicial proceeding to seize his mansion based in Allauch, a French community situated east of Marseille and put at €600,000.
According to findings of the French fiscal authorities, Taiye Taiwo defaulted in the payment of income taxes in 2008 and 2009 as well as property taxes in 2011 on his 900m2 home, which they say will be auctioned at €200,000, three times lower than its market value.
Taiwo, is said to owe €1,025,000 in taxes, but can apply through his lawyer for instalment or delayed payment if he is not financially fit to settle at the moment.

Ailing music producer OJB Jezreel is considering starting a foundation with the excess funds from the 'Save OJB' campaign.
The Head of the fund raising committee Nomoreloss said the musician is ready to help other patients with similar problems.
‘I was with OJB at the hospital the other day and we saw a lot of people with a lot more serious problems than OJB’s. You won’t believe he was shedding tears when we saw these people, and so he asked me, dude, what do we do? And he agreed that when this is over, we may have to start a foundation so we can help others going through same problem’.
OJB will be travelling to London in August for his kidney transplant.

30 year old Seun Kuti, the son of late legendary Afrobeat musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, will soon become a father and this is authoritative. Seun and his longtime girlfriend, who is also one of his dancers and back up singers, Yetunde Ademiluyi, are expecting a baby. Yetunde is already showing.

Yetunde is the grand daughter of prominent Lagos monarch Oba of Egbeda Land, Samseen Alade Balogun's second wife, Oloori Patricia. Yetunde has been part of Seun's band, Egypt 80, for over five years.

According to The Net.Ng,Olamide has signed a multimillion Naira endorsement deal with alcoholic drink Ciroc Ultra Premium vodka and will become the first Nigerian ambassador for the alcoholic beverage.
Olamide’s management has yet to respond to The Net.Ng queries but inside sources tell them that the deal has been signed and sealed already. ‘The money had to be sent in three parts, that’s how huge it is‘, an insider tells the Entertainment website.

Mariah Carey is in the hospital for a shoulder injury.

The pop star's representative says the singer went to the hospital in New York late Sunday after injuring her shoulder while filming a music video.

Her rep adds Monday that "doctors reset her shoulder" and that "she is fine."

Carey was filming a video for a remix version of her song "(hash)Beautiful" with rapper Young Jeezy. The video was being directed by her husband Nick Cannon.

The singer will still perform Saturday with the New York Philharmonic on Central Park's Great Lawn for the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert. It will benefit Superstorm Sandy victims.

In an interview with Show Time Celebrity,Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid talks about his UNILAG saga,fame,EME and how he charges #5m per show.

Here is an excerpt from the interview:

What really happened between you and the UNILAG students. You were accused of duping them?
By now, I think all is clear that there are some people parading themselves as either Wizkid or his managers.The unfortunate incident regarding the UNILAG students is a case of mistaken identity where people fell victim to some unscrupulous elements who impersonated me or my representatives. The same people, as we have come to know, went as far as creating fake accounts in my name to dupe people.

How did you come about the UNILAG palaver?
Basically, the police just called us to inform us of the development. We can’t really give full details because we were invited to come to the police station and we went as law abiding citizens. When we got there, we gave our own statement as well as the students. But we really can’t say anything now until the police have done their proper investigations. But with the details on ground, what we want you to know is that the so-called Wizkid the students have been contacting is fake and an impostor. It’s really not from me or from anybody around me.

What was your first reaction when you heard the news?
I felt so bad. I just went to my Twitter account and tweeted the normal people to contact if you want to book a show with Wizkid. Let’s be realistic. Everybody saw my hustle and watched me grow. When I dropped “Holla Your Boy”, I was much younger and wasn’t charging up to N5 million for shows. This is just playing out and it is simple.

So, how much do you charge now?
N5 million is okay for my show. But let’s just put things right. It is so bad to my company’s name and my name as well. That is why I decided to open up on the issue.

There is this rumour that you are no longer with EME?
I have just released an album in collaboration with Wizkid and EME. “Starboy” is my new company, EME is still there for me. “Starboy” is Wizkid’s new record label and I have a couple of producers that are working with me in the new company. Definitely, we are working with a lot of people. Banky W and I, started way back. Our dreams have always been to build an empire, to help more people and give them that platform to showcase their talents. And all these dreams cannot happen only with one person.

Nigerian pop star Wizkid has spoken out against his continuous impersonation by fraudsters. The hit maker, bugged by increasing complaints and reported incidents, says he's worried and beyond scandalised, that some bandits would go to any length to perpetrate evil acts and defraud innocent fans and customers.

The EME act spoke today in Lagos, while reacting to on-going investigations on recent discoveries and arrests. “It’s unfair that fraudsters will take advantage of unsuspecting victims. The culprit has been apprehended and all is being done to make sure such incidents don’t reoccur.”

Wizkid said an EME impostor is currently in police custody. He was handed over to the police by his latest victim- Muyiwa.Muyiwa also known as ‘Origin’ started transactions with the impostor, only to discover he was being duped and quickly handed him over to the police. Meanwhile, EME Chairman Banky W who has himself been a victim of impersonation, says the label is putting all structures in place, while working with relevant authorities to make sure the trend is put to a stop.Fake names, phone numbers and bank accounts have been set up to carry out such fraudulent activities.

In an interview with Ebuka Obi Uchendu on Rubbing Minds on Channels TV,he said he is yet to get backdated payment for Tuface's hit song Africa Queen.When asked if the fact that his efforts were not recognised by the record label which got him upset, he responded “Uhn, not really very upset because I know what the international law says, you being a Writer, if they omit you, they know that the law still stands internationally”he mentioned the fact the song ‘African Queen’ was redone by a Jamaican artiste which he wasn’t he even aware of and for the fact that he co-wrote African Queen he was meant to be aware of that intention before it was done and he’s been trying to find answers to it which he says he is yet to get.On the issue getting credit for the song African Queen, he said “No I have credit, like now am a writer, now is all like am a writer, I have 50 per cent of the publishing, which I didn’t used to have before, so it’s a different ball game right now”Asked if he got any backdated payment on the song as the song was a major hit in the continent?I still haven’t because they have to backdate it they have to check the revenues of the music, what it has generated, what is due to the co-writer and all that, all those things are just still hanging but I still have one or two things that I am doing to find out what the issue behind all these stuffs are.
