Pretty actress Juliet Ibrahim today responded to criticism over the statement she made on her Instagram page yesterday concerning the high cost of OJB's kidney transplant.According to a release by her media managers, the actress was utterly misconstrued by people who used the opportunity to make themselves relevant, “I don’t mean for my tweets to be misconstrued and I won’t take OJB’s health problems with levity as many have misconstrued me…all I was trying to do was bring an idea of where we can get the transplant done since it’s utmost necessary we get it done soonest and funds ain’t coming in as much expected, thus, I thought we could try a better and certified centre which isn’t as expensive as the current one in UK when there are several cheaper countries to perform the surgery. Also instead of people lashing out on celebrities, they should rather be asking the government to help.“It should be further noted that we are all finding a lasting solution to help end the pain of the talented entertainer and bring smile to his face once again and not generate issue out of someone’s suggestion or hand of help,” the mother and compassionate actress said through her publicist few hours back.

Can you please clarify – what exactly is wrong with you?
It is a renal disease also known as kidney failure. Both of my kidneys are gone and I definitely need a transplant.When were you diagnosed of the ailment?That was about two years ago when we discovered and since that period, we had been battling it on our own. What was shocking was that, many years back, I cracked a joke that if something goes wrong, ‘na on your own I dey oh’. And then for two years I have been battling this on my own.While you were silently going through this how was your family handling it?All the while this was happening, there were the ones that were there. The ones that saw the weakness, they were the ones that saw the period where I couldn’t get up from bed, where they had to carry me to go and shower, take me to the bathroom and toilet. They saw all that, the outside world didn’t see that. The OJB that could even walk and talk now is an improvement.

All the time you were getting treatment, was it that the treatment wasn’t effective?
As at that point in time, it was like a case of having high blood pressure affecting the renal system. But after a while, I was having lapses. The lapses were coming and going. After a while, when I have the lapses, they stay longer. Like may be I have four days lapses and then get better until like may be another 5-6 months. But it got to a point the lapses got worse, it was becoming very frequent like I was experiencing it every other week, and then every other day.

How does it feel to see that people are this much concerned about you?
For some reason you find stronger reasons in life to live. The fact that you see that people actually love and care about you, that’s enough reason to want to live. But when you are alone, you think about, ‘what if I die, well, whatever’, and that’s it. So for these people, I’m ready to live.

It has come to our notice that some unscrupulous rumour peddlers have chosen to malign Davido’s hard work ethic and reputation.

Davido has been on his European tour for a few weeks and landed in Budapest, Hungary on Friday June 21 for his Budapest stop. He was met with what is perhaps the worst case of unprofessionalism from a promoter in his career as a touring artiste. The promoter in this case is known as Mr Frank of BLACK DIAMOND ENTERTAINMENT. To the dismay of his management, the agreements on Davido’s ryder were not met despite assurances written and verbal that everything was set. Please note the following facts:

Against their agreement, Davido and his management were given a one bedroom suite to house them during their stay in Budapest.
The promoter had issues with the venue for the show. Up until the night of the performance, the venue had not been paid for and Davido’s management were informed that he might not be able to perform on the stage. This was finally sorted a few minutes to the show.
When it was finally time to perform, the promoter had not arranged for sound and Davido only managed the situation and decided to perform because of his fans that had paid to attend the concert.
A fight broke out at the club and the promoters did not arrange any form of security for Davido, it was the intervention of the venue security guards that ensured that he got back to his hotel room in safety.
Davido and his management did not receive any direct payments from the said promoter. Infact the promoter is yet to pay up in full Davido’s performance fees as agreed.
Davido and his management team catered to their every need while in Budapest from their personal funds
Davido’s management wishes to state distinctly and clearly that Davido was not at any point arrested in Budapest, Hungary. He is currently in Paris, France where he is set to perform on the 28th and the 29th of June.

In an interview with Entertainment Splash presenter Labi on TVC this afternoon, OJB who is suffering from Kidney failure opened up about his health condition.He said he has received donations from only Don Jazzy and Ruggedman.According to OJB,Tuface hasn't made any donation or called him,likewise Wizkid.OJB said he has been battling with the kidney failure for 2 years.Now he can barely stand straight or walk.He has between now and end of July for the operation.The kidney transplant will take place in London because of the long flight to India.He needs #14m more because the operation will cost #16m and he has just #2m from donations.

In an interview with Nollywood Movies,Sky 329 in London,Tonto Dikeh reveals she fell as a result of her long dress ,high shoes and a slippery ground.

“It was a big…well not a big fall and I managed it well. I fell because I had this very long dress, and this very high shoe and a slippery ground, and because I wasn’t supposed to dance at my first ‘coming out’. I had another outfit I could put on to really perform if I wanted to; it was my choice but I just came on and they played the song and I just had to dance and I slipped.

I made it fun really, I got up and danced, I didn’t want to disappoint anybody especially myself. When I went back stage, I was dancing my head off.

I couldn’t go back on stage because Iyanya was on stage and it was about closing. It was all his time. Nobody went back on stage after him. I wish I went back to dance again and not fall that time.
