This seems to be an engagement ring on the highly secretive Nollywood's screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji's middle finger. The 34 year old movie star and mother of one posted this picture earlier today on her instagram page with 'genevievennaji'.

An asylum seeker who is married to a British man is fighting for her life in hospital after an overdose just days before she was due to be sent back to Nigeria.
May Brown, a 19-year-old college student, fled to Britain from her home country three years ago after witnessing her father's murder and being subjected to sexual abuse.
She settled in Weymouth, Dorset, where she met her husband, Michael Brown, 12 months ago and the couple married last December.
Mrs Brown, who was a games maker at last summer's Olympics and has two university offers to study law, applied to stay in the UK but despite her marriage her application was rejected.

Mr Brown, 34, said UK Border Agency officials believe their marriage to be a 'sham' with no
'emotional attachment'.
His wife was told she would be flown back to Nigeria tomorrow.
She was so distressed at the prospect of returning to her home country she took an overdose of the medication.
May's suicidal note says: 'I am deeply sorry that I had to go this way, without even saying goodbye.
'The UK immigration has finally driven me insane. They've pushed me too far this time and I can't take the pain any more.
'I don't want a life or a future you won't be part of. I love you so much, more than life itself and can't endure the agony of not being with you.
'Please forgive me for ending it this way. It's better to die with my dignity than be subjected to torture and undignified death back in Nigeria.'

Kim and Kris are officially divorced.The judge divorced their marriage in today's court hearing.So kim is now a single woman again.Kris who previously demanded $7m got no money from Kim.Kris dropped his demand for annulment based on fraud.
Each party will pay their attorney fees.This is not just a settlement,but it's a win for Kim and her lawyer.
It would be recalled that Kim's marriage to Kris lasted only 72days.

The much awaited reality show by Nollywood's bad boy Jim Iyke titled 'Unscripted' will debut today April 18th 2013 on Africa Magic Channel 151 at 5.30pm and a repeat on 8pm.Jim Iyke hopes the reality show will have a better insight of his controversial nature,"I have gone through numerous misinterpretation by the free press and bloggers",he said.

Africa's richest man,Aliko Dangote,plans to build a refinery doubling Nigeria's refining capacity.Dangote plans to invest up to $8 billion to build the Nigerian oil refinery with a capacity of around 400,000 barrels a day by late 2016.
In a telephone interview with Yahoo News,Dangote had this to say,"This would really help not only Nigeria but Sub-Saharan African.
There has not been a new refinery in Nigeria for a very long time".
He added that the country's ability to import fuel would soon be challenged."In five years when our population is over 200 million,we wont have the infrastructure to receive the amount of fuel we use.It has to be done. Do you still believe in love?

I believe in love.Love is the reason for our existence.It's really not enough if you want to get something done,you have to do away with that emotion and be real.

We learnt that you are planning to go into marriage again,is it true?
I would love to remarry.Infact, I am designed to be under a man.I am not going to lie that I like this single mother nomenclature.But wherever there is one at the moment one is bound to get used to the situation.It is not a do or die affair because one has been there before,anything I have to do now must be done right.
I am not in the school of thought where the first one happened and perhaps the second one .No, any bold step I have to take in settling down must be right.I am not ready to make another mistake but I will definitely remarry.I believe in the principles of marriage whether you like it or not marriage is a better option.

How soon are planning to settle down?
I honestly do not know about that and I can't tell for now.

Have you found love again?
It's neither here nor there.I am a lover and I love to love.

Your fans will want to know if there is any man in your life at the moment?

One thing I regret most is the fact that I am divorced .Where I come from I am the first daughter.I am from a royal family .It has never been on record that the first daughter will walk out of her matrimonial home.But it is a matter of life and death otherwise I would have stayed back and make my marriage work.I tried to make it work but it takes two people to tango .
That's the only thing I regret,raising my child without the father.It's a bit painful.But I have to live with it.It's better that way than to expose my daughter to all sorts of domestic violence.It will definitely disorient her and affect her upbringing.She will be dis-functional.God knows the best,maybe I should be more careful.

The first Deputy Governor of Anambra State and National Vice President of Action Congress of Nigeria,Dr Chuddy Nwike who was kidnapped three weeks ago has been killed by his abductors..This was confirmed in a statement by the state publicity secretary,Okelo Madukaife.ACN said it is ashamed of the circumstances of the death of its high ranking member and wish that it could now erase from history the circumstancds that led to the death of the former Deputy Governor of a state in Nigeria.
