Properties / Re: Can 2 Million Naira Build Me A 3 Bedroom Bungalow? by abusurv(m): 7:44pm On Aug 16, 2020
From experience when I was building my house it's not possible why? The foundation alone will consume more than a million if you want a solid foundation with reinforce pillars and taking into consideration that the area is a flood zone.
Politics / Re: Buhari, Olonisakin, Magashi and DICON foolery by abusurv(m): 3:51pm On Aug 07, 2020
Buhari did not established DICON and the situating of it in kaduna is not done by him. Land comes into play when you need to locate and established a company.
I don't want to believe that all our military hardware's are done in kaduna we are not so foolish. Babangida decentralized the military spreading formation from Lagos to other states.

If the Church in Nigeria decides to shutdown its operations and businesses, Nigeria will instantly become a seabed of unemployment. Many people (ignoramus) do not know that the church is the largest and most impactful NGO in the country. Mosque is totally irrelevant.

A revolt from the church will lead to total collapse of government, plunging the nation into chaos and uncertainty. It is the church that has glued the country to its citizens and provided hope and jobs for those who had given up on governance.

DON'T TEST OUR RESOLVE

Richdad
What has the topic to do with government and Islam? It's your fellow Christan that is asking for money not Muslim get it right. Also go North and build the hospital, they will even give you free land and labor for the project. You get it wrong when you said that government will collapse forgetting that some of those that pay tithes are government worker or contractor.

Pure lie,the imam in my street here in abuja is Yoruba man,the jumuat mosque juko is an IBO man
I remember that an IBO man was once the imam of abacha Barack jumuat mosque here in abuja.
Come to ansaruldeen mosque in maitama and see the population of Hausa people attending jumuat prayer on Friday.
AmazingMOG:
Same thing with Islam

A Yoruba Muslim can not head or lead a mosque in Northern Nigeria or even in Abuja he will be beheaded and stoned

In Northern Nigeria Yoruba Muslims are called fake

You can verify this news

There's no single mosque in the north that has a Yoruba imam

Most terrorists are muslims

Since they claim that Islam is peace, why can't they be peaceful for once.

The US wouldn't wait for you to hit them before they act, they hit you as soon as they get the impression.

If us is not afraid of repercussions why upgrade security in new York and other cities. The fear is us does not know the military capacity of Iran .The major war been fought is cyber war not convectional war that is why Iranian were able to bring down us most expensive drone. The fear of sharing the information of the drone to Russian and Chinese is a factor that count.Iran fought 8 year war with Iraq and come out stronger. Do Google Iran - Iraq war

Land use degree of 1978 gives the Governor power to take over any land as overriding public interest whether they have C.of O. of the said land or not. The government will only compensate according to the law.

Many folks do not know that before the rise of Boko Haram in 2010, Islam was a minority religion in Borno State. They have succeeded in exterminating a sizable number of Christian population and communities. He should fold his wishes.

Education / Re: ABU Zaria Denies Girl Who Scored 302 In JAMB Admission For Medicine & Surgery by abusurv(m): 6:27pm On Dec 19, 2019
You are absolutely right,I remembered then when we are in school, people looking for admission go to the extends of getting local government birth certificate from kogi state just to get admission into ABU,it's so bad 20 years ago
aylipple:
Read most of the responses to this story & majority spoke from an emotional point of view - which is understandable - considering how religion and ethnic jingoism have taken centre stage in present day Nigeria.

However, anyone who is very familiar with the admission process in A.B.U (I speak now as one who was born, bred & educated within the vicinity of that citadel of learning, not as an "uninformed" commentator) will tell you straight up that while "catchment area" (a policy the President has directed should be abolished forthwith, don't know if the institution adhered to it) plays a great role in securing admission especially if you're from the "core" northern states, meritocracy is also a contributing factor.

It's on the basis of the latter that I suspect Miss Goodness didn't secure admission to study the course of her choice. Before you get me wrong, let me explain further; the young lady had very good UTME/Post-UTME scores as well as excellent grades in O'levels according to the author but for someone who comes from Kogi - which is a catchment area - trust me when I say her grades/scores probably paled in comparison to other candidates from the state who applied to study medicine.

Anyone who knows will tell you for free that candidates from Kogi State applying for admission into A.B.U are the most competitive & probably hold the largest number of applicants. In fact, due to the clamour to gain admission into A.B.U. many applicants from states in the Southwest (outside the "catchment area"wink now claim Kogi (similarly in names between Yoruba & Okun peoples) to help brighten their chances. And many of these "acquired" indigenes have very good scores/grades too, thereby, swelling the ranks of those seeking admission into A.B.U from the state. In contrast, other less "intelligent" candidates from the state, due to the stiff competition, have in turn acquired "certificate of indigene" from other "core" northern states (similarity in names as well especially when it's not a tribal one e.g the names Khadijat Yusuf or Abdullahi Mohammed can be borne by any northerner or Igala/Ebira/Okun Muslim without telling the difference their real states of origin) to help increase their chances of admission.

Finally, Miss Goodness may not have gotten admission to study Medicine & Surgery, she's perhaps fortunate because she could've been flung to "far away" Faculty of Sciences to study Biological Sciences or even Biochemistry or whatever they're called these days. It's a good thing she's still within the Faculty of Medicine (or is it now a college? Not sure anymore) & if she's still determined to study Medicine, the experience & additional knowledge she'll gain in her first year as a student of Human Anatomy would've prepared her to retake her UTME/POST-UTME & earn very high scores (higher than what she initially scored) that even if she hails from Mars, those in the admission's office will have no choice but to offer her the admission.

Family / Re: My Husband Said He Will Raise My Kids To Challenge Me And Be Rude To Me. by abusurv(m): 12:17pm On Dec 17, 2019
Fountainofyouth:
This is exactly what we are saying on a thread that got to front page today, imagine this mistake of a man and father, him and his wife have issues, instead of him to resolve it, he wants to involve the kids and make them antagonise the mum, what has the kids got to do with it? Instead of the ones above to comment fairly, they are looking for his version, no matter what the woman said, what type of man will tell his kids to do such? If reverse was the case and woman told their kids to insult their dad, the comments would have reached page ten by now with all manner of insults on the woman,

The husband doesn't obviously want to be challenged in the decisions that involves the family, he wants a 'yes sir' kind of woman, he wants to subdue her smh, does he expect his decisions to be right all the time? How will they be able to rub minds together on whats best for the family

Madam Op, anytime he says anything, don't challenge, react or talk back, just be looking at him and ignore, let him say his own and do whatever he thinks is right, you too, do whatever you think is right, when he sees the arrangement isn't palatable due to clashes, he will remorsefully call you for a heart to heart talk.
This is misleading, there can never be two driver in the same car. What you are calling for is divorcing. Blessed are the peace maker ......
