optimised: Rather, the other way round: 4G consumes more power and drains battery faster than 3G, in the same way a car consumes more fuel and runs faster, carries more load than a motorcycle.
4G n 3G battery usage are kind of the same now due to improvements in chipset, i find 4g to drain less battery on my phones self (dual 4g) Than when I had 3g sims, the first generations of lte was a battery drainer, now it's on par or better than 3g
hisholar2: Good morning y'll, finally have gotten my redmi 6pro from AliExpress, but what baffled me is that the front camera whack, do I need to upgrade to latest the miui before it could come to normal and besides this phone doesn't support OTA update. Thanks in anticipation
if your bootloader is unlocked, you can flash legit global rom (if xiaomi has released it)
priceaction: which of the offices you use. I am in lagos right now, and where do you stay, The one i know in my area , she said she cant do it, though she is an agent.
I stay in ABJ, the office here dey do am, most times within an hour ur sub is live
priceaction: Anyone still using ntel here? Or is there any other 4g network that support redmi 5+ ? This useless glo with their 3g needs to sit in the self. I have missed my ntel so much because of recharge issues. I don't know why they are very selective in recharging now.

i wasn't expecting poco to even leave first round i followed the blind test on Twitter pple were also talking about brighter pictures winning cos that's all that matters to most pple
questechie: What's the performance like, as regards battery and software optimization
in terms of software, it comes with zui 5 I've done u updates so far, with November security patch in the last update, it's Chinese rom though, so you install play store from the app center. If you like to tweak ur phone, there is no bootloader unlock presently so it may not be for you. It also comes with fast charger out of the box. If you buying from AliExpress, beware of the so called global rom version, the rom will mostly be fake. The phone has only been released in China so only Chinese rom (English language) is available, if you need more enquiries you can msg me on WhatsApp, I'll be glad to help
questechie: What's the performance like, as regards battery and software optimization
the phone is great, battery life is comparable to redmi note 5. You can buy on aliexpress for about 58k or buy from Lstar4real, his own is less dan 5 days delivery.
Machinemayana: Goodday, straight to the point. I really don't know the platform to order the Lenovo k5 pro, I love the device. AliExpress can't wait for 21 - 28 days, Please any other suggestions? Fast delivery like 8 working days or so, Can I get it in stores? Please recommend if yes
holadeindey: What's the price and shipping fee to Abeokuta for Lenovo k5 pro, lenovo S5 pro,Lenovo k5 Play and Lenovo k5 note(2018 edition) respectively, thanks.
Eeechenmeelee1: It is not my fault you don't want to understand what I said, I never said anything about the introduction of treble or even mentioned oreo, I clearly stated it was mandatory for phones launching with pie. But what do I know, na una way dey here dey form boss for Xiaomi thread know pass people way dey build ROMs for XDA
Eeechenmeelee1: Thank God you use your mouth to say "getting standardized" which means Android platform IS not as Google intended, Google has minimum set of standards to allow any OEM preload their GaPPs, trebel support is only mandatory on phones launching with pie. Are you saying anyone running custom rom on a Xiaomi phone will NEVER EVER need a fix that a firmware update can bring? Seriously?
i never had to flash firmware for any of my Xiaomi phones while using a custom rom. Most pple also do not need to flash firmware, once again, get ur facts right, project treble was introduced with Android oreo not pie. Don't come and be giving us half baked info, some of us aren't learners when it comes to android. Try to read about project treble and what it really entails, it will clear some of the misconceptions you have.
Eeechenmeelee1: You and 1 are saying the same thing, firmware updates provide drivers for display panels, modems, sensors etc ie underlining environment n technology is always improving, the qaulity of said firmware updates usually improve with time as long as the OEM still supports the device. As for ARB, it's not a mandatory for devices launching with anything before pie, there is an actual thread on XDA about an automated way of generating firmware updates from official MIUI rom updates for nearly every Xiaomi phone with custom rom support so what I'm say is not BS like one nimrod replied to my take. Recent advances in Android development still have a limit to what it can do with respect to devices that don't strictly follow Google's recommendation
android is getting standardized bro, ARB started with oreo not pie, if you don't follow this standard you can't release an android oreo phone, look at project treble also, new Android phones now have to meet this standards before it gets released, talking about firmware updates also in terms of display and co, that's where vendor partition comes in place in keeping it separate from the main os itself, all new custom roms now have there own vendor partition. There's no way you release a new phone now without following Google recommendation. The time of you needing to necessarily flash firmware is over except the rom explicitly needs it
gidieberry: chaiii, i no even undstnd u... U dey play protagonist or antagonist combined for custom rom and stock rom? B like say u b newcomer for custom roms, on sammy fones, atimes u need to update ya bootloader, firmware n modem before u flash a custom rom or wen updating ya custom rom as well to anoda iteration of android os i.e from Android 5.0-6.0...
Eeechenmeelee1: I just found that even if you are going the custom rom route on a Xiaomi device, you're not entirely free from MIUI, periodically you will need to flash a folder called firmware updates from MIUI rom updates, failure to do so may make your Xiaomi device to have bugs that make the phone unusable or even prevent booting. Normally rom makers have a work around for senarios like this but nothing beats OEM support. On the surface this may look like a bad thing but it's actually a blessing because Xiaomi are known to support their devices for long like Apple even if their devices only get a maximum of 2 android OS upgrade. A major problem Android phones have is long term support, custom ROMs can't really solve that problem because they only update top level Android system environment, the underlining firmware is as exactly as the Android OEM left it n so really isn't secure as you would assume. Xiaomi deserve over accolades for their support of device
firmware is generally for sensors, and modems mostly, it's nothing serious. Doing firmware updates with custom roms now will likely cause more harm than good with the advent of ARB. The tangible part of updates comes from the rom updates itself which is in form of monthly security updates or Android O.S version updates. Custom roms now support more than top level Android System self their is something called vendor also. In short custom roms offer more than it used to few years ago due to advances in Android
Protein0: I'll advise you to keep the item and claim partial refund
Here is d reason, you'll return it for nothing less than 8$, then wait till she ships another one which might be the same. Band 28 is very unpopular in China.
Just sell d one you have, claim partial refund and make it up to get another one from another store while making a thorough research to be sure it has band 28 prior to purchase
exactly, aliexpress might even give him a good deal with the refund, plus he still get to keep the item. Return will be slow around this time of the year.
Gptech: . I always talk am say Xiaomi earpiece dey overpriced, just good design and build na dem get.
