I just bricked my redmi note 5 Pro when trying to lock the bootloader with adb fastboot after the seller unlock and install global Rom on it, now d phone hang in recovery and showing miui version cannot be installed on this device.
Please anybody around kwara, osun, Oyo or lagos that can help me unbrick it, I don't mind paying but kwara/Osun will be more preferable bcux I live in kwara.

what command did you use if i may ask? use the unlock equivalent of the command, i thing fastboot oem unlock should work (not sure it works on xiaomi phones) or just use mi unlock tool. The issue has been addressed here countless times, global rom devices means u either have bootloader unlocked or installl chinese rom and lock bootloader, you cant have it both ways

enter fastboot, use mi unlock tool, sign into it with the mi account on the phone and unlock it back, it will work

Honestly, when I saw that complaint, I was shocked. I just decided not to contribute hoping that someone else will come up to actually state the exact reason why that was done.

I just weak 4 some pple. If you don't like miui, use another rom and let us be. Even the mobile data toggle pple r talking about, it's not like one can browse from lockscreen or who uses an hotspot without password these days?

I think the reason is that whenever you factory reset your phone and you are logged in (mi account) you will be asked to provide your password and it will be verified online before you can use the phone. This is where I think it's important to have quick settings enabled because you will have to switch on data or connect to wifi to achieve this.

pple really seems to forget things fast, in android 2.3 days, if you don't have data on and you entered wrong pattern after some times, it will ask you to sign in to Google account to gain access to the phone back, the problem then was that pple may not have data enabled and u won't be able to use it, the only solution was to format data. I've been a victim of this actually, having access to some items in Q.S is a bonus to me not a bug or security concern as pple are making it up to be.

This thing I realized is not really a new discovery sef, MIUI threads on Reddit have complain about this tire since they found out about it in MIUI 10 development rom before it even reached stable n me I found out when I updated to MIUI 10 stable. I still rate MIUI high, I just don't like some of it's design decisions

then write your own rom, that's the beauty of android.

Yea, themes sometimes are hit/miss i experienced it once on revolution os (MiuiPro Lookalike) using rn5

D other variations was jst for him to compare the sound output. I use a Sony MDR- XB450 headphone indoors and AKG earphone mostly out doors until the AKG was stolen. Trust me wen I say I know my sounds

Ur definition of good means crappy in my own language. Bros my advice to u Pls get a better earphone, this one can damage ones ear drum. Na slow ear drum killer. U can't compare dis to rock Zircon, uiisii or Coloud pop borrow any of these and see d difference.

if those are the definition of ur own good, that's crappy to me also it's sounds crappy in my own language compared to my kz zs6, the kz zs6 will also sound crappy to some sennheiser, bose, shure amont others

I don't restore my apps, it's the reason why i don't download from playstore, i just download the raw files and keep. I only restore my whatsapp data, i really wish whatsapp will be a cloud based messenger just like telegram, e for sweet.

apps like titanium backup and migrate really makes it easy, you barely lose anything when changing rom.

Blisspop, Resurrection remix and Dirty Unicorns were my go to roms then, the phone fought a good fight sha before resting.

camera takew a hit with aosp roms then, there were no gcam then

Three roms in a day is still normal, i try every new rom, as many as possible in a day cos i was a tech blogger. So now, you don't tweak anymore?

lol sometimes u try a new rom, you won't even wait for app restore to complete b4 u remove it . I don pause 4 now though.

Very tiring and energy sapping, stopped since the days of my LG G2. Na to dey use my phone with the official roms oo.

lol, i learnt a lot from that phone actually, that was when developers used loki and bump to sign roms as there was no bootloader unlock for it then, the likes of cloudy g2 and cloudy g3

Lenovo k5 pro, ma tweaking then was mostly flashing of rom, i onced used more than 3 roms in a day self, then sound mods like viper n dolby. Gcams also, n other miscellaneous ones.

But what is it with all these Chinese OEMs and aggressive power management sef! The consequences on ram management can be seriously annoying at times.
I feel there should be one big important switch, where you are allowed to either stay with the default settings from factory or withdraw entirely from it.
And yes I know of the MiUi optimization switch in developer settings and the battery settings, I haven't seen much different between on-ing and off-ing anything.

turning out better than expected actually, i don't really miss rn5 , zui can be annoying with things like notification though, you have to enable this manually. That's the only thing i don't like about it. Ba3 life is on par with rn5, to me, even better. Camera is also great. I haven't been able to unlock bootloader though

is ur bootloader unlocked? If unlocked, you can boot twrp and copy ur files out with it
