@achimotan Occassional delays? Is that a sort of euphemism for debt or delay in payment? Specify sir. Thanks.

The pipeline got damaged for over a year forcing the VRA,the generator of electricity to buy crude which is more expensive to power their plants.
Switching from gas to crude greatly affected their balance sheet and delayed payment for gas supplied earlier

@Achimotan you guys have been enjoying free gas all these while what do you mean 'isn't the gas being paid for?' Is that how you "pay" in Ghana, sir? I blame our myopic policy makers who have allowed this fester for long.

The gas is never supplied for free,it is paid for even though there are occasional delays.
The price at which gas is sold to Ghana is more than what is sold to you guys
We feed Ghanaians, cloth thier citizens, establish businesses in their country for their citizens to work and still we supply them gas? Where is that ungrateful jiggahmangh and his fellow Ghanaians who constantly run their mouth on nigerians.

Ghana ought to be annexed by Nigeria as our 37th state. They depend on us for everything [/quote

Nonsensical talk from a chest beater. Was the gas being flared and going waste?
In any case isn't the gas being paid for?

Yes they may be 5%, but they have always been considered the choiciest and the hottest. They have always remained Gollywood's darlings and are very influential.
In Nollywood, for every hot biracial actor you find, you have 20 hotter full blooded actors who are more preferred.

Stop talking about stuff you don't know. Who considers those guys as hottest. Juliet Ibrahim is not in the class of Jackie Appiah and Maratha Ankomah.Yvonne Nelson and Lydia Forson are award winning actresses who fill halls with their own produced movies

Hehehe. Nigerians have made enemies everywhere in this continent, it appears. And that's because of their aarogant attitude towards the other Africans, coupled with their nefarious activities in Africa and abroad, tainting even further the already not so good reputation of Africa grin grin grin

From ur handle, I guess u are Ghanaian. I read about this Achimota College waay back when I was still in primary school in this Ghanaian English textbook written by one Ogundipe.....cant remember the title of the book.

angryYou guessed right. Achimota School is one the best public secondary schools in West Africa
The establishment of Achimota School in 1927 was the first concerted effort by the British to extend education to the people of the Gold Coast.
Hitherto the three secondary schools in the colony were operated by the missionaries .Achimota was conceived to have a primary department, secondary ,teacher training and university all rolled in one.
The role of Achimota in the development of Ghana cannot be over emphasized. In 1948 when the people of the Gold Coast opposed the idea of the establishment of only one university for the whole of West Africa to be sited in Ibadan, it was Achimota School which hosted students and staff of the University of the Gold Coast until a permanent campus was constructed at Legon in 1951.

No, Accra doesn’t have a single structure at 100m fit to be called a skyscraper. Meanwhile, Ibadan and Lome have a skyscraper each while Abuja has two already with one underconstruction.

Maybe, you meant highrise which must have 12 stories atleast but despite that Abuja still has more highrise than Accra. grin

Villagio vista in accra which is 27 floors is a skyscraper

I can bet my last dime that it was a Nigerian that posted that pic and tagged it as egusi.

Firstly Ghanaians don't make egusi stew. It is not a Ghanaian dish. Sometimes when making kontomire stew some people like to add egusi to it but it still is no where near or taste like the Nigerian version of egusi stew.

Please let Ghanaians rest.

profmathsland:
This was the first time that the Super falcons failed to play with their heads low. They failed to understand that it is a team game and not about individuals. They were taking it from an individualistic approach which almost cost them the loss. Ghana were the better of the two sides in the second half unlike the first half which was a balanced affair. A lot of lessons to be learnt surely from this game because there lies huge challenges ahead. Not surprised that Ghana gave Nigeria a match today as they showed why they are the real rivals and not Cameroon or Southafrica. Kenya will still provide a good opposition for the African Champions as well going by what they performed in the previous game against Ghana. Their first half display was a pointer that the Cecafa championship was no fluke. Let's not forget that the match between Nigeria and Ghana was a champions affair as well. The African Champions (Nigeria) and the all-africa games soccer champions. Don't be surprised if we see a Champions final. Till then.

And may Ghana triumph over Naija and win the cup for the first time
