I thought this character was banned for appearing on TV and Radio Counsellor Lutterodt Banned from Appearing On Radio and TV As A Counsellor Controversial Counsellor Cyril George Lutterodt’s loudmouth seems to have finally caught up with him as the Ghana Psychological Council has banned him from holding himself out as a counsellor. According to the Council, it’s against the law for an individual without the proper qualifications to hold him/herself out as a counsellor, thus Lutterodt is contravening the laws of Ghana by presenting himself as Counsellor Lutterodt. The Council has thus written to Lutterodt, warning him to stop holding himself out as a counsellor, whilst also warning the media not to take him on any program to give out advice as a counsellor. “The [Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act] stipulates in Section 140 that a person who does not have the requisite qualification and who is not registered with the Council but wilfully and falsely uses any name, title or in addition implying a qualification of practice as a psychologist (or counsellor); and practices or professes to practice psychology of which include counselling or receives payment to provide psychological services commits an offence and is punishable by law,” the Registrar of the Council, Dr Dinah Baah-Odoom, said in a letter addressed to Lutterodt. “Any media house that does this is in contravention of the above-mentioned law, Section 140(c) which states that a person who employs a non-registered practitioner; (e) without being registered under Part IV of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857); that is not registered with the Council but practices or professes to practice psychology of which include counselling or receives payment to provide psychological services commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than two hundred and fifty penalty units and not more than five thousand penalty units or to a term of imprisonment of not more than ten years or both.”. it added. This ‘ban’ comes after a recent expression of disgust by the Ghana Psychological Council over his comments that any lady with natural hair is depressed. |

Kuami Eugene will die same way as late Ebony – Eagle Prophet If you thought that ‘doom’ prophecies over the lives of Ghanaian artistes were over, you might want to think again. Over the years, many so-called men of God and prophets have spelt out doom over certain celebrities. Others have claimed these prophecies after the incidents have happened. Founder and leader of God’s Crown Chapel, Reindolf Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, has prophesied, that musician Kuami Eugene, will die the same way late Ebony Reigns died. According to the prophet, people have targeted the musician and have taken his pictures to places to bring him down. The Eagle prophet went on to say that he saw Kuami Eugene traveling to his home town, same way as late Ebony did. “…any of you that knows this young guy called Kuami Eugene, his pictures have been taken to places to bring him down. That young guy should rise up and pray, he shouldn’t joke with his destiny. Because they are bringing him down”. He continued, “Little by little, by the time he realizes, he will no more be relevant. He should pick his prayer life, and begin to pray. They are taking him to places…if he plays with his life, by the close if this year it will be a bad day for him, it will be a bad month for him and it will be a bad year for him. He should rise up and pray and pray for his family as well because as it happened in the life of Ebony, I saw him travelling to his home town and his life was taken. This prophet is always putting fear into celebraties |

wiseone28:Nobody hate Nigerians. The truth is that the number of 9ja oloshos in Ghana is staggering that your envoy had to even complain Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Olufemi Micheal Abikoye, has met over 500 Nigerian girls who are engaging in commercial sex activities in Kumasi. The meeting forms part of measures to liaise with relevant authorities to find decent jobs for the girls who are mostly trafficked to Ghana to engage in such illegal activities. Efforts are also underway to repatriate girls who have been trafficked to Ghana to engage in commercial sex work. Olufemi Micheal Abikoye is outraged at the increasing number of Nigerian citizens engaging in illicit activities in some parts of Ghana. The High Commissioner cited cyber-crime, prostitution and child trafficking, as some nefarious acts Nigerian nationals living in Ghana were engaging in. He made the remarks at the Ceeta-Kel hotel in Kumasi as part of his tour to meet the Nigerian community in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions, as well as city authorities in both regions. Mr. Abikoye also met police in the Ashanti region after over thirty (30) female Nigerian sex workers and child-traffickers were arrested by the command in a massive swoop. He said it was high time the Nigerian community in Ghana supported the High Commission to work at nipping such negative activities in the bud. He indicated that, the activities of these young girls were denting the image of Nigeria. “Let's face the truth, let's talk to ourselves as Nigerians. Go and see what aged 14, 15 little girls are doing here. I mean, I am a parent and it is something that bothers my heart that can make me cry. How can a 10-year old, a 12-year old girl be engaging in this type thing. I am going there. Is that the place I should be going? Is that what I should do as High Commissioner?” He expressed concern about how teenage girls who have been trafficked from Nigeria to Ghana are engaging in commercial sex work. Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, told Citi News the meeting discussed ways to send young girls trafficked from Nigeria back home. He said some of the girls the police arrested were sent back to custody after they were screened. COP Yeboah disclosed that police have begun investigations to identify persons behind the trafficking of the young girls. |
