Tightpussy2024:You’ve mentioned two different scenarios here, and it’s important to clarify them. First, the idea that "you can’t force a man to take care of a child he wasn’t ready for" doesn’t hold up. Whoever has sex without protection is, by default, accepting the possibility of a child. Readiness isn’t the issue; it’s a responsibility. You don’t need to force anyone when such individuals fail in their responsibility, you hold them accountable legally. Second, no you cannot force someone to take care of another person’s child, like a stepfather or stepmother. If they choose to do so, then you should thank them for their kindness and sacrifice. As for Asake and his father, it’s ultimately up to Asake to decide what he wants to do. The truth is, no one can force him to act against his own moral will. Even if his father wasn’t a deadbeat, no court of law would prosecute him for abandoning his father. All I did was argue against the idea of helping parents (or others) only when they’ve acted rightly or supported us when we needed them. Generosity doesn’t really depend on familial ties. In fact, I believe that someone who struggles to help strangers or humanity in general will rarely be there for their parents, even if those parents sacrificed everything to get them through school. |
The only antidote for the political poison called APC. El Rufai should remain in SDP and decamp at the 11th hour. PO should ensure close ties with Abure and ensure that nobody of value emerges from Labour Party. Beyond joining PDP, you must be two steps ahead of the BAT. Put your moles in APC; create artificial problems in the party to keep the babariga thief busy for a while. |
My brother, if you ask me, na who I go ask? |
The idea that his father might deserve whatever treatment he’s receiving today especially if he was an absent father doesn’t make sense. The majority of the people benefiting from Asake’s wealth today didn’t contribute to his success either. The people who contributed to his success are his fans, who go all out to stream his songs and attend his shows. I’m not sure he’s helped any of these people either; instead, celebrities are often known for spending lavishly on the Sophia Lambos of this world. Sometimes, you have to look beyond people’s failures and weaknesses. Sometimes, you repay the wickedness of the wicked with good deeds in the hope that they might repent. If we all decide to help only those who contributed to our success, then even Asake might not be where he is to today. |
Jandor? ![]() Funke Akindele and the PDP platform are the main reasons he pulled over 60k votes. Without those two, Jandor won't see 1000 votes in Lagos. |
90% of all Christians killed worldwide are Nigerians resident in Nigeria. That's enough proof that Christians are being persecuted. The US Congress has spoken for Nigerian Christians. Saudi Arabia Congress should also speak for Nigerian Muslims. |
Fubara is just too weak. Since your opponents have chosen to be m a d, sponsor their recall process immediately. Why wait until you're fired? Martin Amaewhule and his friends can be recalled within few weeks. |
Obiedun:Sanctioning him is unfair because none of your family members have been victims of killer herdsmen or bandits. It’s easy to hide behind a keyboard and sympathise with a man who stole someone else's mandate and swore to protect you, rather than the victims. Very easy. When you realise that this man would rather have everyone in your village or state levelled up than lose his next trip to France, your eye go clear. |
The overly emotional dude is always talking nonsense. |
These tariffs and sanctions would have been a great opportunity for African nations like Nigeria to cash out, but what can we possibly offer them? |
Failure to remove the moles and sell-outs in that party will land you in the same mess Obi found himself with people like Lamidi Apata, Abure, and Abayomi Arabambi. Many of these people will submit to Tinubu's demand. |
It's clear. Nigerians need to be colonized again. |
The primary reason you are relevant today is that you and your party stole the people's mandate in your state. The second reason is that those from whom you stole are far too timid to fight back. Please do not think too highly of yourself. Without the people's timidity and our collective s t u p i d i t y, you are only an empty barrel. |
mrvitalis:The government did not deny the incident. Instead, one of the governor's aides blamed the surveyors for not providing adequate security for themselves. In his words, "....any surveyors going to the site should go with police escorts. If they do, no gunmen will abduct them." Maybe in another ten years, we will start blaming parents for not providing police escorts for their children on their way to school. Every day, you wake up with new reasons either to give up on Nigeria or to curse the leaders. Every single day. |
I blame the lawmakers. You guys enabled and supported his return. |
Faulty judgement. Being both transgender and Muslim at the same time is more than enough diagnosis to conclude that she may be experiencing psychosis. Now, talking to a picture of God-knows-who? No, she needs a psychiatrist, not prison. |
It's been happening for years na These countries pay heavily to have their waste dumped in mainly poor countries. The people behind it get paid and moveee ![]() |
This is irritating to be honest. |
Laird:I think you both are right. SMA comes in two sizes: 400g and 900g. The prices of both sizes also vary depending on the age of your baby (0-6 months, which cost more, then the follow-on 6-12 months, and 1-3 years). What you saw is definitely the 400g follow-on formula for either 6-12 months or 1-3 years. |
Acidosis:Update: Now at 3.4m views and #1 trending movie in YouTube Nigeria and Ghana. How do you convince this woman and her viewers to go back to dstv? 🤔 |
Morenikeji090:Okay |
Any Christian who can consistently and conveniently pay tithes, sow seeds, and give offerings is not stagnant. It takes a progressive mind to sustain these efforts. God will always reward your generosity. It’s a basic principle that isn’t exclusive to Christianity. Just as rain falls on everyone, including murderers, giving will always attract a reward. |
mightyhaze:You can't compare apples with oranges. It’s ironic how you compare a "good and benevolent boss" with a "bad factory boss" on a thread where an nwaboy was settled with ₦500k after seven years of labour. The notion that every nwaboy makes it to the top is another lie that has been used to console those being abused by their boss. Meanwhile, those who don’t succeed are often labeled as lazy. Haven’t you seen many traders who went through the same apprenticeship system who have remained in their small shops after 20 years of trading? Change begins by telling people the truth. People struggle everywhere and many are still poor and being an nwaboy for whatever number of years will not erase that fact. |
I agree with their view. We Nigerians are hypocritical in our assessment of issues. We are against closure of schools for Allah's sake, but till tomorrow, Ikorodu people will still be held down from moving around because some unseen misogynistic shy god doesn't want to see women and non-indigenes on the street. If Ikorodu gods do not want to see women and non-indigene, why force western education on those who consider it haram? Two wrongs can co-exist ✌️ |
Tayorshd87:How do you measure healthy growth? When you compare Nigerians with citizens of developed and many other developing countries like China, considering how advanced they are and their level of IQ, I don’t think Nigerians are healthy. Does a man who stole nearly 2 trillion naira and then turned around to blame Aboki Fx for our economic woes seem healthy to you? |
There’s a certain level of revenue DStv needs to maintain to stay afloat, and those of you still using the service will continue to bear the cost. If the number of subscribers drops by another 50%, the cost of subscription will increase proportionally. It's that simple o. Good luck to y'all 😂 The idea of pay-per-view won't even work. Subscribers pay monthly for Netflix, Prime, etc. The main issue is that dstv decoders and dish now belong to the analogue age. Pay-per-view won't make any difference, especially now that content creators and movie makers like Ruth Kadiri have started tasting YouTube and Netflix money. Make dem leave YouTube $$ for dstv Rand abi Naira? 😂 Any clueless person can open a YouTube channel at zero cost and make some $$. You will spend billions to get a Dstv channel and make nothing. I remember how MOGs back then would pay for airtime on DStv and then beg viewers for money to sustain their programs. It was always a ridiculous and awkward sight. Today, just one week of the Hallelujah Challenge on YouTube and Instagram can comfortably cover Nathaniel Bassey’s running costs and his team’s expenses for months. DStv turned our MOGs into beggars, took so much from both the creators and the viewers, only to repatriate those funds to South Africa. Omoni Oboli dropped a movie on Friday, and in about 24 hours, the movie got over a million views, almost surpassing Wizkid's new Kese video on YouTube. If na you, you go go back to Dstv? Online entertainment is the new hack. |
ikaboy:These are typically the words of criminals who parade themselves as bosses. You can spend that 7 years in a proper company or factory, earn your money in full, and still gain those extras (contacts, knowledge, and experience). Any Igbo apprenticeship system that comes without a contractual agreement and pay in this century is fraudulent. Such bosses should be arrested and jailed for human rights abuses and forced labour or child labour (as applicable). Many times, these nwa boys are not gaining any meaningful, transferable skills, apart from telling lies and luring people to pay for overvalued, overpriced, and sometimes fake items. That's not skill acquisition. Take that boy to a supermarket or mall where prices are clearly marked on each item, and you'll see a useless, clueless salesman. If you must work like a slave without pay, at least, learn a proper skill like tailoring, plumbering, carpentry, catering, etc. |
ERockson:Your fellow Yoruba Tinubu u r c h i n s did same to late Pa Adebanjo on Twitter. So, Obidients are exactly not the problem. The main issue is that you expect everyone to speak good of the dead. Doyin Okupe has been receiving all kinds of curses ever since he started promoting tribalism. How you suddenly expect people who cursed him a few months ago to start praising him is the real issue. Okupe has more than enough people who love him to celebrate him. While the opinions of his haters may not matter, you can’t silence them. Just because someone is good to you doesn’t mean they’re good to everyone else. |
This is not necessary. But the idea of ropping everyone into celebrating the life of the dead is nothing but hypocritical. If I ever did you evil while I lived, when I die, you have no business saying fake things about me. If you don't love people while they were alive, so why form fake love when they die? It would have been more honourable for David to keep mute though, especially knowing that the same Nigerians who celebrated Abacha's death will come for his head. |
lexy2014:For not supporting the current criminals in power. |
Irish potatoe >>> Sweet potatoe |
jocelynor:People earning 30k usually have other sources of income. Don't let their salary give you a false impression of their reality. Some folks have relatives home and abroad who assist in many ways. Many work in places where they get daily tips. Many times, these tips serve as their major source of income. 200k is not enough for baby things. If you can't afford more than 200k, then you have to do what others do (buy fairly used products, OK wears, and talk to families who have some of these used products to add to whatever you can afford). The journey hasn't even started. |
