@Jarus, you are so on point.
One major problem why so many people are not employed is that they know next to nothing. Youths of today find it difficult to read business, management, inspirational and History books. They don't news news and business stations as well. You only find them watching MTV, bET, E!, Mnet and the rest.

Intellect is perceived as soon as you enter the interview room.

I totally understand and feel your pain.
The reason why you didn't succeed in the 'yahoo' trade is because God has not destined you to acquire early sinful/cursed money and then punish you for it later. He wants you to succeed through genuine hardwork.

Is there a way you could come to an agreement with your dad on the coldroom business? If the matter hasn't gone beyond hand, I suggest you talk him back into allowing you manage the business.

As for the marriage thing, please don't rush into it if you haven't gotten enough funds because marriage is far different from dating.

Don't lose faith in God. Keep pushing as there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Billyonaire: Patience GEJ is a private citizen, Nigerians should leave her private health life out of their jobless amebo life. In the event that anyone should find a constitutional clause to prove to me she is a public figure as President's wife, which I doubt, Its also State Secrecy to keep health of state officials secret so enemies wont go doing 'winshees' on her.
And is she using her private funds for the Travels, Medications, hotels, feeding and the rest? Is she not spending TAX PAYERS money?

As far as she is spending the masses money, then they deserve an explanation on her every move.

Afterall before her husband became Alams Deputy in bayelsa, I bet you all there trips across Nigeria were made by road transport and not air. And they would rather put up with a relative than even sleeping in a 3 star hotel so what are we saying?

With your experience and multitasking abilities it would be very easy for you to get another job. Just keep pushing.

But on a second thought, why do most people just jump at resigning from a job when they haven't even talked things through management?

Things like salary increase, cutting down your work load, unsatisfied management decisions and others are things you can easily bring to the attention of management to correct instead of just walking out on the job.

Also, never ever resign from a job if you haven't gotten another one to replace it with.

Heard because there always a ready market for it.

Especially the 2007 camry and newer models have been a night mare for the owners.

But seriously, I wonder why people spend hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions to buy a car and find it difficult to spend paltry sums on security and insurance.

I pray you find it.

First Lady , Mrs. Patience Jonathan
By Moyo Fabiyi
Since 28 August 2012 when it was reported that Patience, the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan was flown to Germany for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment, the presidency has refused to give the nation a clear picture of what she is suffering from.
However, P.M.NEWS authoritatively gathered today that Patience is being treated for cancer of the uterus at Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Aso Rock’s denial of information has only helped to fuel an industry of speculations about the president’s wife, especially when she failed to show up with husband when he attended the 67th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, United States.
The online has been abuzz with all sorts of reports.
A recent one even claimed that Mrs. Jonathan was being treated for Parkinson disease. Earlier reports had it that Patience was operated upon for ruptured appendicitis at the German hospital.
Yet, there was another report that the surgical procedure on Mrs. Jonathan was to remove a potentially cancerous uterine fibroid.
There were also speculations that she had travelled to Dubai to have a procedure performed and returned to Nigeria where she developed complications which led to her sudden evacuation to Germany.
The cancer of the uterus ailment was shrouded in secrecy all this while by Aso Rock, thus engendering all sorts of speculations about what Patience is really suffering from.
The Presidency did not help matters as it refused to come clean on the actual ailment of Patience. All the stories Nigerians are getting from Aso Rock have been a web of lies about the fate of Patience. And this deepened speculations over the nature of sickness the wife of the President is suffering from.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe told State House Correspondents Tuesday when he was asked about the health of Patience that “ordinarily, I do not want to comment on this matter. Nigerians have gone through a lot of trauma in terms of leadership and death and ill luck and all that (in the past).
“Gen. Sani Abacha died in the Villa, Obasanjo’s wife (Stella) died in the Villa, (President Umaru) Yar’Adua lost his life in the Villa.
“I think even if it is a suggestion that the wife of the President is sick, what I will expect Nigerians to feel is empathy, not probing, not questioning (about her health).
“Have we become so disenchanted with leadership as to believe that the leadership is inhuman? I believe that the First Lady is hale and hearty. I want to leave it like that.”
P.M.NEWS learnt that the absence of the First Lady during various activities held to celebrate Nigeria’s 52nd independence anniversary sparked fresh anxiety over her fate among her friends, family members and beneficiaries of her various activities.
Many of them who thought Mrs. Jonathan will be home for the independence celebrations were disappointed.
President Jonathan was reported to have visited the German hospital where his wife is on admission, on his way to New York for the United Nations General Assembly last week. But P.M.NEWS gathered that lack of information on the likely date of return of Mrs. Jonathan back to the country and speculations over the nature of illness afflicting her is a source of worry in the Presidency.
Anxiety over her absence since August heightened with Jonathan’s sudden return from Malawi and Botswana about three weeks ago, just two days into a trip that was billed to last for three days.
There were speculations that the President cut short his trip as a result of information he got on the sudden turn in the health of his wife.
The Presidency, however, denied this on grounds that the president had finished all aspects of the agenda of the visits to the two countries. Contrarily however was the report that the Presidency actually demanded from his hosts in Botswana to cancel his other engagements, suddenly after getting a phone call from Nigeria.
The initial response of the Presidency was to debunk claims that the First Lady is ill and receiving medical attention.
Ayo Osinlu, the Chief Press Secretary to Mrs. Jonathan told journalists last month that his boss had gone to Germany to rest after the hectic schedule of presiding over the African First Ladies Mission held several weeks before then.
This was in response to initial speculations that Mrs. Jonathan was flown to the hospital after an initial treatment at State House Clinic, Abuja for alleged food poisoning.
The story of the First Lady’s admission at the German hospital came to light four days after she left the country on 28 August.

tm2tm: I had a job opportunity that I lost, after building a cold room of 30 tonnes in a market area, for my dad who is 73 years of age and I am the first son. I was to be the manager on an initial salary of 10,000 naira. But things fell apart when my father started disregarding me through insults and other means so I got frustrated and left the whole thing. Now I am back to the labour market I am 37 and no job with a lady of 34 with me stiLl looking for a job too. I am a sham to return to my dad. I am confused...
My brother don't be confused.
I will like to ask you some few questions.

* How many years ago did this incident happen?

* Has your dad gotten someone else who is presently managing the cold room?

* how are your managing (financial) with a wife and little or no income?

My advice is for you to wave away every single pride in you and make peace with your father.

As meager as the sum might be (N10,000/month), I will like to inform you that you should have looked beyond the pay and access other opportunities you could have gotten with that Cold Room business you had at your disposal.

I suggest you repackage yourself and put your experience to play. Start proposal managing people's cold room business as so many are being mismanaged as well as setting up for new business people who want to go into the business with little or no knowledge.
PoliticsColombia's President ANNOUNCES He Has Cancer. by acidtalk(op): 5:03pm On Oct 03, 2012
Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos has announced that he has prostate cancer. He said the tumour was caught early and would be removed this week.

The 61-year-old Santos told reporters in announcing the cancer at the presidential palace, his wife Maria Clemencia at his side, that he has a 97 per cent chance of a full recovery.

"It's a small tumour located in the prostate gland and the prognosis is good, that is to say it's not aggressive," Santos added.

He said he planned to fly to Lima, Peru later on Monday for a summit of South American and Arab leaders and then undergo surgery on his return to Bogota on Wednesday.

Santos said the surgery would be performed under local anesthetic so he would not need to relinquish temporarily his presidential responsibilities.

Detected early

Santos said his doctors told him the surgery places him in no danger, "but they have recommended that after the surgery and after I leave the hospital, I don't travel for several weeks".

"I am calm because this cancer was detected very early thanks to my discipline in repeating medical exams year after year"

- President Santos

He was also joined by his doctor, Felipe Gomez, who characterised Santos' situation as "common among men".

The news comes two years into Santos' four-year term and with his government about to begin formal peace talks this month with Colombia's main leftist rebel group.

"Known as a hardliner when he served as defence minister under former president Alvaro Uribe, Santos is now readying for peace talks with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), who have been waging a long-running insurgency," said Al Jazeera's Chris Arsenault reporting from Caracas, Venezuela.

"Some sectors within Colombia's business and military elite oppose the talks. Santos is saying the cancer isn't serious, but if he is out of commission for a while it could further complicate peace negotiations."

"Santos seems to be following in the steps of other Latin American leaders, including Hugo Chavez in neighbouring Venezuela , who have battled cancer recently. Unlike Chavez who received treatment in Cuba, Santos is likely to seek help in the US, where he is seen as crucial ally on a continent where Washington's influence has waned in recent years."
Santos said his medical records would be completely public.

President Santos, who took office in August 2010, is latest Latin American leader to be diagnosed with cancer
That contrasts sharply with the president of neighbouring Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, who has refused to release medical records regarding the cancer that was identified last year and for which he has been treated in Cuba.

Santos did not say exactly when the cancer was detected, but he said it was found by his doctor in Colombia after a routine annual physical  check-up, and confirmed by specialists at Memorial Sloan Kettering hosptial in New York during his visit last week for the UN General Assembly.

"This could happen to anyone. Prostate cancer is much more common than people imagine," said Santos. "I am calm because this cancer was detected very early thanks to my discipline in repeating medical exams year after year."

Santos said he has a family history of prostate cancer and that his older brother, Luis Fernando, had exactly the same operation 14 years ago "and today is in perfect health".

Santos said that because of the family history he had a Protein-Specific Antigen test. When it indicated an abnormal increase, he said, his doctor decided to do a biopsy. And that was when the cancer was discovered.

Dr Gomez agreed with Santos that the cancer had been caught early and said "that if all goes as it should I hope he will recover quickly and continue to be our president".
