Politics › Ncaa..enugu Safe For International Flights by Activity77(op): 9:49am On Sep 21, 2013
By Chinedu Eze and Stanley Nkwazema

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has
refuted reports that it may close international
operations of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport,
Enugu, insisting that the regulatory body has no
such plan, describing such reports as mischievous.
NCAA was reacting to reports that it may bar
international operations to the Enugu airport because
its designation as international airport has not been
gazetted by the Federal Government.
In a statement signed by the agency’s general
manager, public affairs, Fan Ndubuoke, NCAA said its
role is civil aviation regulation; that it is the Federal
Government that controls policies that affect air
transportation in the country, which it exercises and
directs through the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

I saw dis on facebook and decided 2 share it here.

Pls hide my ID and notify me after posting this thanks... I am a gurl of 26yrs old, I had a break up with my EX late last year. And still trying to recuperate from the severe heart break.. Currently I have a guy close to me he is 30yrs old we aren't dating but he is asking me out relentlessly. I dint give him listening ears cus of the heart break I went through... He pushed the notch a little and invited me over to his parents crib to meet with them which I declined.. But I got a surprised call recently from his mum and she asked to see me.. I had to respect this request so I went visiting. I discovered they re lovely and hospitable family. In front of his parents he declared his intention that he wants me to be his wife.. I was really amazed I dint give them any answer I told them I would think and pray about it. The problem here is that if I decide to give this guy a chance. There would be a religious fracas.. Am a full born and practising catholic. And they attend LORDS CHOSEN.. I can't see my parents consenting to me marrying a non Catholic.. And from observation his parents re uptight LORD CHOSEN members and won't succumb as well.. Am thinking of calling it quit now that we have no ties... But I would appreciate ur candid advice sex lifers .. Matured minds pls no insult thank u all.
Sunday Mba: NPL Rules In Favour Of Warri Wolves

The Nigeria Premier League has waded into the on-going feud between Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers over the ownership of Sunday Mba and Chigozie Agbim by ruling that the Super Eagles duo belong to Warri Wolves.

Enugu Rangers is laying claim to Mba, insisting he has always been their player and had been training with them before the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.

However, in a letter signed by the executive secretary of the NPL, Tunji Babalola, Mba and Agbim have been declared as players of Warri Wolves.

The league interim management committee has, therefore, asked any club interested in the players to contact Warri Wolves.

A tussle arose between Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers over the ownership of the 24-year-old Eagles midfielder since foreign clubs started showing interest in the player after the Afcon 2013.

Spokesman of the Warri-based professional football club, Moses Etu, said on Sunday that the Delta State-owned team was not ready to join issues with Rangers on the player as Mba knew he had a two-year contract with Warri Wolves.

“Sunday Mba has only spent one year out of the two-year contract he signed with us. It is on the basis of this that we are giving him up till Friday, March 1 to return to our camp ahead of the new football season we are preparing for,” observed.

The Warri Wolves media officer hinted that the matter has been reported to the Nigeria Football Federation.

“We have absolute confidence in NFF believing that they will follow the path of justice. We have the documents signed by Mba and requests by Rangers for us to clear the players for them which we refused to do,” he said.

“We have also written the NFF to apply the relevant sanctions regarding inducement and misleading of the public by Rangers International on this matter.”

Etu further warned that Warri Wolves would not hesitate to report the matter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the world football governing body, FIFA if need be.

“We have confidence in NFF but we won’t hesitate to take the matter to CAF and FIFA. Rangers can be banned from further participation in the CAF Champions League while the player faces the prospect of being banned for years,” stressed the club spokesman.

Although some foreign clubs are said to be making enquiries on how to sign the Super Eagles players, the current ownership struggle between the two NPL clubs may scuttle such moves. Warri Wolves last week placed a one million euro transfer tag on the player now under dispute.

The defender rose to stardom after he scored two goals for Nigeria at the Nations Cup, which put Nigeria in reckoning and ultimately claiming the 2013 Afcon trophy.

Now the hitherto unknown local player is now the talk of several transfers within European clubs.

2bad 4 rangers bt let him go.warri wolves can neva be compared 2 rangers anyday anytym.

thelastPope: It is bad that you have 3 days darkness but you should learn to address issues properly. You should learn how power works. That there is darkness in UNIPORT doesn't mean there is darkness in the whole of PH. It doesn't also mean other parts of Nigeria is not enjoying improved supply.

Sometimes you have to come together in the community where you live and find out what the problem is, then put serious pressure on the local DISCO to fix it. Your problem could be a feeder line, a broken down trasmission station or a bad transformer. That is not something you should come to NL or the presidency to tackle. You have to take the fight to the local DISCO. The president is not going to go round the country checking hundreds of thousands of transformers and feeder lines. Take your issues to the local DISCO and put pressure on them to get it sorted.
Seconded

From gariki to new heaven is 60 or highest 70.

Afam4eva: Isn't Achara layout also a high brow area? Btw, i'm not supporting the unnecessary hike in house rent, my anger is that these people are trying to blackmail landlords to give them special treatment because they relocated from the north. If they cannot afford the highbrow areas, there are other low cost places that they could go to.
there is nutin like special treatment cos all of us are one(igbos).most of them coming down here are nt financially buoyant...
Can u help push it to front page so we can have more views concerning this pls.

Afam4eva: It depends on the part of Enugu that you want a house. Cut your coat according to your size.

why is it that some people result to cheap blackmail in situations like this. So, landlords should decrease house rent because some people want to relocate from the north to Enugu? These same people are the ones that will build mansions in other parts of the country and when they're asked to pay a measly amount for house rent in their own home town, they result to blackmail. Why not go back to the north and live with bokoharam. Nonsense.
Afam do u stay in enugu, wen was d last tym u enterd enugu.i grew up in enugu so i no wats hapunin dia.like wer am living, achara layout 2 b precise.d least price u can get is 15000 on an old building.hw do u justify dat.even my landlord is telling me dat he wil stil increase d rent by nxtyr..am not blackmailing anybody so am speaking from a tenant point of view.

Residents of Enugu, the Coal city, have
called on the state government to wade into
arbitrary levies charged by landlords in the
capital city. Concerned residents who spoke to DailyPost
on the matter urged the Enugu House of
Assembly to make relevant laws that would
end the continuous exploitation of tenants by
landlords in the state. Mr. Clement Ogbu, who returned from the
Northern part of the country as a result of
Boko Haram insurgency lamented that
landlords and agents milk tenants dry in the
state. According to him: “I had wanted to settle
down in a 3-bedroom flat with my family
but the cost is just outrageous. “In most of the houses I checked, the least I
was asked to pay was N500,000 for two
years; in addition, I was also asked to pay
N50,000 as lawyer’s fee and N30,000 as
agent fee, making it a total of N580,000. “In fact, I even pleaded with the landlords
to allow me pay for one year, which will be
about N330,000, but none of them agreed. It
is really very bad that our people should be
exploitative. Government should do
something about this urgently”, he said. He said some indigenes of the state had
refused to leave the North because of the
situation they would face at home.
He said: “indeed most of our people in the
North are ready to come home, but they are
reluctant because of the high cost of living here”.
Another resident who spoke on the ugly
situation blamed it on greed as well as the
presence of many tertiary institutions in the
state. According to him: “I think most of our
people don’t have conscience, there is so much
craze for wealth and it is affecting every
system. I still do not understand why house
rent should be cheaper in Onitsha, Aba,
Owerre and other neighbouring cities than Enugu. “It is even more worrisome when you consider
the fact that the only industry here are
tertiary institutions. Students are not even
left out as they cough out over N100,000
for one-room apartment; it’s so bad and I
think the Enugu lawmakers should emulate their Lagos counterparts by putting an end to
this ‘madness”
