Obinnau:I don't think it's an infinix problem, i know 2 other people with the same problem in my street they bought the note 5 as well |
Here's another shot
|
If you've been getting the prompt to update your device from whatever android os you have to oreo please don't do that just yet until you read this. After all the hype that comes with android oreo 8.0, i found my way to slot then purchased the new infinix note 5 (61,300) found my way back home, fixed the phone to the charger, waited till full charge, so i powered it on, did all the settings/customization like sounds, walpaper, ringtones blah blah. Did a data transfer from my old android to the new device and i was all set. But i noticed that my network conductivity drops anyhow, imagine I'd have h+ and full network bars and it takes a while to load Nairaland until i put my phone on airplane mode then turn off airplane and as soon as i do that, phone would browse for maybe 3 minutes then the network is dead again so in other for me to browse, I'd have to keep restarting the network every now and then by putting my phone on airplane. Yesterday my brother came to visit, he recently upgraded to oreo and he's complaining of the same thing. The only time you'd browse without issues is whrn your phone is connected to a wifi network. So i went online and i found the problem is common with oreo, i even updated my phone when i got the prompt to update but still, nothing works. Have you been experiencing the same issue?

HODcol:How much i need a nation |
Simple, tell him your landlord does not like the arrangement, some landlords can be like that, they tend to restrict how long a visitor can stay at your place especially if you're not married |

While we ran, this Mad man ran after us and was shouting "e'ba mi mu wan awon omo mi ni won, won sanle ni" meaning "help me catch them, they are my kids, I've been looking for them they ran away from home! We ran our hearts out we then ran into another street then slowed down because we couldn't carry on but we lost the mad man then we tried to catch our breathe. I noticed both my school ID and that of Eze were gone yes we were officially Mad! Then it struck us, we lost our donation cans too all our money gone! I couldn't control the tears, Eze was as well devastated. Now that we had gone mad officially, if we cross path with the mad man, he'd be justified people will agree with him too because we couldn't prove it that we weren't mad. This is just too much for a day. I thought about my bed in the hostel, i longed to be in it. I thought about my girl who would be gearing up to come to my lodge but here i was, miles away from home all dressed like a mad man with no money. Cautiously, we traced our way back the way we came, we had to get to Sango garage, we walked past an hairdressing shop and a lady stopped us and engaged us in a conversation, she said "kilewa ra lowo werey to fin leyin kiri adugbo" ? Meaning "what business do you people have with a mad man" then i explained but it was hard to believe because someone from the shop said Eze was fidgeting and she needed to keep a distance or else she'd be assaulted. We couldn't prove it that we were students no ID's to show for it. |
The mad man was of unbelievable physique, he was almost 6 ft and maybe in his previous sane life, he worked out alot, he carried locks that were too thin and bushy. His beared had inter-crosed each other and they formed knots. He beckoned on us to come to him again and this time, the grin on his face the first first time he beckoned had disappeared, he was serious now, he was leaning at the back of the truck before but now he stood arm akimbo with squeezed face. Oh God, i did not sign up for this, no i did not. I threw a glance at Eze and he was dumbfounded just like i was, slowly we started moving backwards with our backs and i guess this triggered the mad man, he was frantic, next he said, Taye ati Kehinde efe salo abi? Emi ati mummy yin atin wa yin lati ojo yi, mo wa ri yin tan ewa fe salo meaning Taye and Kehinde, you guys want to run abi? Me and your mum, we have been looking for you all this years and now that I've found you, you want to run again. As soon as i heard this i knew we were in for it. I turned to run i knew Eze would do the same, but when i looked ahead, Eze was far far ahead that meant he didn't wait for the mad man to finish what he was saying before he bolted well just what we should have done before. |
johnpaschal:Thank you again, i don’t need too many audiences, expect more frequent updates bro |
Samsung users won't like this thread |
Tallesty1:You're doing yourself |
I threw a glance at my wristwatch, the heat was intense. I felt like i needed to take off my clothes and just jump in a pool to cool off but no, Eze wasn't affected in anyway. HE just went about this business not minding the heat such an hustler Eze would say, 'i can go anywhere and just make it my home' truth be told, he could survive anywhere with this attitude. We stopped to rest for a while, we went into a local restaurant and we ordered food, fortunately for us, a lady picked up our bills. We thanked her again and left as soon as we were done eating, we were outside the food canteen and Eze suggested we did an estimate of how much we've made all together so i agreed and we located an empty shop with a bench and that was where we did our business and came up with the figure 6040.00 (six thousand forty naira) in words. In my mind, i felt that was enough three thousand naira from the money would have me going for some days if i manage it well, but Eze wasn't moved, he said this time last year, he had made just about the same amount himself alone so he suggested we try other areas of Sango. I reminded him of what time was but he wasn't bothered and we set off. I need to remind you that, we were dressed like 2 mentally unbalanced persons but for our Id cards we were tolerated. Time went by while we took care of our hustles for the day and by the time i checked the time again, it was after six. I gave Eze a nudge i told him we've made enough and it was time to consider heading back home. Eze said we needed to go around one more time to round it off and call it a day so i agreed. We walked past a couple of shops, then we aproached a shop where a woman sold lots of convinent items like soaps, egg, milk, tea, butter, raw rice, beans, groundnut oil etc. We engaged the lady and while we were at it, a truck stopped right in-front of her shop. Then we turned to go away because she shifted her attention to the truck guys. We walked down past the truck then we heard someone call us, the person said 'eyin boys' in yoruba, meaning 'you guys' then we turned back to see who it was, then we were face to face with a real mad man he stood by the back of the truck, beckoning on us..... |
Thank you johnpaschal i actually thought it wasn't making sense so i just stopped writing. But thanks I'm working on an update right now it's actually my first piece too thanks again |
chukxie:Okay crime is crime, just drop that word 'sophisticated' |
The truck stopped precisely at Sango garage, we alighted then Eze reached into his bag for 2 Milo cans Marked 'Donations' he handed one to me and gave me instructions he said all you need to do is, approach anyone, be it man or woman, sister or brother, then say Uncle or Aunty: we be students o, anything for your boy, five naira ten naira na money o" then i asked him if they were really gonna give us five naira and ten naira really? Because i wouldn't have to come this far with this disgracing apparel for so small an amount, then he said i was stupid that it was only a strategy. We set out and like we planned, people fell for the rag thingy thing and we were making money like we thought we should but it wasn't so easy, sometimes, Eze had to dance i joined in too everything seemed fine only if we knew what would happen still |
We got to the junction that led to my house, Eze said he had a plan, his plan was to have us go to Sango from Abeokuta, i asked him why we have to go that far, then he said we wouldn't make enough and considering the fact that alot of Mapoly students would be at Abeokuta, we just will not make enough so i succumbed. We boarded a bike that took us to Obada from the junction that led to my house, when we got to Obada, we saw a couple of Mapoly students who had the same plan Eze had, they were running to hop on an empty dangote cement truck headed for Sango before i knew it, Eze bolted towards the direction of the truck i followed suit and in a couple of minutes we were at the back of the cement truck. I have never being in a situation like this before never but we've already set out and there's no going back. |
