annisy: . That's a valid point. But assuming we all vote based on competence regardless if the person is Fulani, Tiv, Ebira, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw or Berom? Will this nepotism still be an issue? It is nepotism like this that continues to drag us behind. Don't you think so? |
AntiBalaka:What do you think will be the solution to the unending religious and ethnic differences/crisis that we currently suffer as a nation? |
AntiBalaka:Still trying to understand you. Please write in a lay man's language. |
naija4life247:If he has stayed in imo state for 5years(+) and he's known to be responsible such that he conducts his business in a very sane manner, then he should be addressed as an imo state person regardless of his religion or where he's originally from. This is the same way various people from all spheres of life become citizens in developed nations. If it's working for them, I wonder why it can't work here. Well, for me, I feel more comfortable dealing with a northern regarding business compared to a southerner. It's easy to see people with integrity from the north than from the south. Just last week, I interacted with a keke young boy who should be about 15 and a Fulani. He spoke good English. I was very impressed. I engaged him in deep conversations regarding his plans for life. I realized he was writing NECO then and planning on writing WAEC. The guy plans to be an astronaut. When he said it, I was like, does this guy knows what he's saying? I even asked him to spell it and he spelt it correctly and explained what an astronaut does. I was amazed that I had to leave my balance with him. it's a few rotten eggs that spoilt the good ones. Bad people abound in all tribes. Let's learn to coexist peacefully in the most detribalized manner. |
MASTERCHIEF0847:Really? Master chief, it's the sort of mindset that really needs to change. All over the world, conflicts abound occasionally. When this does, does that mean that the parties involved never co existed? |
The two major causes of division in Nigeria and Africa in general is our nepotistic attention to state of origin/tribe/religion especially when filling legal forms. To me, I feel this is totally unnecessary as it further worsens the unity of the already divided country. So, I went to fix a tooth at a general hospital one day and on the form, I saw religion and state of origin and I was wondering how relevant that information was related to the application request. I know some people will want to dissociate themselves from North. But I ask, is there any unity within the entire south? Does an Igbo man see a yoruba man as his brother? How often does a moslem marry a Christian? Most times when this even happens, there are usually lots of kickbacks from friends and family members resulting to disbandment, dissociation or banishment. Even between the two religions, there are various internal divisions that abound. Does a Jehovah's witness see Pentecostal as worshippers of same God? How does the Pentecostal view an orthodox person? Does a Sunni, Shite or Izallah(Not sure I got the spelling right) share same view? Are they void of discriminations among them? How can we move forward as a people devoid of religious or tribal sentiments? Even animals co exist. Why can't humans do? Why should we be racist to ourselves even considering we're all blacks and everyday we shout black lives matter when it doesn't even matter to us blacks. For one Nigeria to be achieved, these two questions should be scrapped when filling any legal document. Instead of these, State of residence should rather be alternated for these two questions especially if the person has stayed in that location for up to five years/above. Let's say we even go on our separate ways in the future, are we saying a yoruba person won't be able to enter an igbo or hausa country because we don't share similar views?Enough of these intentional hatred and bias across the two religions and across the various heterogeneous ethnic divisions in the country. Even if the government and religious bodies intentionally created these sorts of division for political reasons, isn't it time we outsmarted them? In the past, we used to see a Fulani and co existed peacefully together. What went wrong? Let's even agree the government is responsible, why do we now allow ourselves be used as instruments of destruction, prejudice, hatred and maiming? 2023 is around the corner. They will pretend they love us. Let's use our sense. Let's not be blinded by hatred for one another into perpetually doing the wrong things. If you feel a candidate is very qualified, vote him/her irrespective of where the person comes from or his/her religion because if you vote based on religious or tribal sentiments, your God or ethnicity will not make you suffer less than others when the evil person is on the throne by your doing or undoing. My opinion. |
MASTERCHIEF0847:Hasn't that plunged us into more troubles? Didn't we co exist peacefully before now? What changed now? |

IT is the future oil. I recently obtained a scrum master certification from scrum alliance.org. Although, I'm still in the job search, I am planning to partake in manual QA training. Although, it costs $2,999, I don't have the cash yet but I hope to get certified before the end of this year. It really pays to be in IT. It's more profitable than making hair, ICAN, ACCA or what have you. If you can, please invest rigorously into it. I envy Data Analytics but I have a poor statistical skill. I don't want to start something I know I will perform poorly in it. This is why I choose Scrum and Manual QA because it's for talkers like me. So, choose any field of IT that conforms to your interest or skill and you will never regret it. I often tell younger people who are involved in wire fraud to instead learn a skill with the equipment at their disposal. It's better than being chased around by EFCC, interpol, FBI etc |

The rising and crashing of Micheal Jackson comes to mind |
Mumu women. There can't be two captains in a ship. If you're not willing to submit then don't marry. It's very simple. From time immemorial, men are always men and women women. No matter how we continue to talk about this equality, we can't do the lots men do. Although, some of us are very brave and illustrious, this doesn't still equate us to be same level with men. There's no need talking about unproductivity of some of his employees. I believe also this unproductivity led to them being counselled out of the job. Nwamaikpe and Slawomirr, what do you think about this? |
Buhari, when is your time? You can't continue defiling nature. On a serious note I wish Buhari was in his 40s or 50s so that he can live so long to witness the backwardness he has put this once great nation and everyday suffer mental torture wishing he had done the right thing but his nepotistic nature blinded him. That is what is happening to all of them when they leave office. Obasanjo, Goodluck, IBB etc. Then, they will start forming useless elder statesmen and profering solutions as if they made any good use of their time. People in power should always bear in mind that power is transient and nothing lasts forever. |
Is she also a dwarf? Most dwarfs that I know have a similar kind of face |
It's not ordinary. |
I'm presently in same comatose. I passed the necessary Certified Scrum Master test from Scrum Alliance early this year. Since then, I have watched lots of videos and read lots of stuff even outside Scrum. I have thrown in more than 100 job applications but I keep seeing rejection mails. I only got lucky once to be invited for a virtual interview which I failed. Since then, rejection mails keep hitting me left and right. At this point, I'm regretting spending $500 to obtain this CSM certificate. If by September and it remains same, I may have to give up. At this point, I wish Nwamaikpe can just say something to me to ease the tension off even if it's his usual weird way of reasoning. I know rather than advise me not to give up, he may encourage me to commit suicide. The guy just makes me happy. |
I concur. Except the must be in sixties part |
This is so weird. When responsible nations are in dire need of medical practitioners, no wonder they are all relocating to Canada, USA etc. Nigeria is gradually overtaking Kenya and Zimbabwe in the occurrence of weird news. Nothing seems to be working well since a certain stooge was elected president of Nigeria. I stand by our ex inec chairman. Though, PDP is a terrible party from the devil, APC is an evil party sent by God to punish this country. We must look beyond these two evils if we must have the desired transformation we all seek and prevent the fulanis from contesting for the presidency by all means necessary. They're not nigerians. History has it they are invaders. We must fight these enemies of Nigeria and never again should we allow these people to divide us as an indigenous people of varying tribes. However, if they choose peace, we will allow them stay and conduct their business in the most sane manner without cause for headaches but if they choose otherwise, we won't have any option than to ostracize them from this country Mrs Adaora says so... |
I wish people can be sensible to pay attention rather than make jokes about everything. |
Odikwa very risky. |
This global crisis will serve as bench mark or excuse to Buhari for the rising cost of living in Nigeria. |
I prefer boarding schools for my sons and day schools for my daughters. Premier academy, Lugbe comes to mind. I don't like what I hate and hate what I like |
SenecaTheYonger:I know an African color does not change under duress. The whites easily change from white, blue, red, brown, orange and so on. No matter the duress, a black person remains a black person |
Why my crush come dey black like someone who's been under Benin republic police torture? |
Abeg, where una dey see this job ? |
Although, the DSS has been so much ridiculed under the Buhari led administration, I have come to understand that power is transient. As nothing good lasts forever, so does nothing bad. This administration is being used to test our resolve and resilience as a people of different nations. By nation, I mean the inclusion of all indigenous nations being, the yoruba, igbo, ijaw, gbagyi, tiv, idoma, nupe, benin, berom, hausa and all other nations of this country excluding the Fulani groups coz history has it they are normadic migrants. They don't have a place to call their own except by conquering and domination. My brother, abeg, where una dey see this job so tey u dey make choice? Assuming you're not just fantasizing or day dreaming and the options are in it's entirety real, I will choose DSS over immigration any day, any time even if I'm asked from my sleep |

post=103748402:You're shameless. Keep defending the grand master of corruption. The Buhari and Osinbanjo led administration are not only kleptomaniac in corruption, This present administration is empty and void. I just feel for your lots and Femi Adesina. If for anything, take a learning point from what happened to Lauretta Onochie. You might be doing this with the mindset that you're defending your salary, always bear in mind, that tomorrow is pregnant and the internet never forgets. And before you tag me an ipob member coz I know your myopic way of reasoning, I voted Buhari in 2015 but it took me less than 6months into his administration to realize he is completely empty and unprepared when it took him 6months to nominate a bunch of incompetent ministers |
Another banga |
