when people get old, they tend to put up weight. She is in her 60s you know. Most women of her calibre and female top execs in the US are not that overweight. I think it's a Naija thing for rich and powerful to be gluttonous. BTW my mom is over 75yrs and does not have that much adipose tissue. |
She should do something about her weight. |
Dont invest 4.5mil in a haulage business if you are not there to midwife it. In hauling business it's the driver who has the leverage, so a good driver delivers good returns. my rule of thump is any business that I cannot have about 60% control of is not worth my money. Do know an insider who tells you when the driver takes off and when he delivers? |
Whereas anambra had a budget of 66billion without a single loan yet appropriately disbursed across all relevant sectors. Now I know the real governors Obi's PR Machine at work! So the criterion for measuring infrastructural development is based on being debt-free? Dubai is heavily indebted with its world-class infrastructure, while Libya was/is debt-free, but infrastructurally challenged... Dubai is a cynosure of the new world economy that is moving east. Would you live in Libya or Dubai? |
‘I’m a businessman.’ I learnt from my mom, who’s a very successful businesswoman. So having run and funded Mohits for nine years, I knew we had to move to the next level. And everything we wanted was happening. Finally we could take African music to the world.’ How could you found and run Mohits for 9 years when you had earlier said that you were the VP of Mohits? Even by your 50:50 admission, would it not be fair to say that you " co-founded and and co-ran Mohits for nine years"? Why taking 100% credit? ‘You can see he has signed already’, he said, showing the agreement with Don Jazzy’s signature. ‘I have full rights to my catalogue and full ownership of my Koko Holdings, while he has full ownership of Mo’Hits, including the artistes and liabilities. What happened to their 50:50 ownership when sharing Mohits's assets and liabilities? It's either Dbanj is not telling the truth or his lawyers and advisers allowed him to be cheated by Don Jazzy. He did not get anything from Mohits even though he was a co-founder? Why did you tell Ebony you own Mohits? My mom advised me not to speak. And the interviewer took it out of context. I co-owned Mohits. We registered the business in 2004, and we owned it 50:50. So I spoke about that, but the interviewer took it wrong and the fans put pressure on them and they corrected it. The story keeps changing. It seems someone is always speaking before thinking. How about this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUa6n1B9CFY&feature=related. |
Poor people in villages who lack access to basic things like water, education, and food etc. Are you aware that poor folks are paying over N130 per litre on Kerosene and have not protested? |
Simple question. If Mother Teresa were in your shoes, would she give to a priest/pastor or needy person? "Whatever you do to the least of my brethren, that's what you do unto me". |
Does this question need an answer? So if you have a problem, the first person you are going to call is your family or church? My brother used to say that he will build his own house first before giving money to his church, because the church can never allow you to take refuge in their church if you become homeless. Family before church! |
Would you buy a house without checking it out? |
RIM reminds me of PALM that is about to be eaten up by innovation and competition! |
We have ATMs that cannot properly work and we are talking out cashless society? |
It seems CBN did not think this through before they adopted the policy. I still believe that they have not studied the effects this will have on the economy very well. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUa6n1B9CFY&feature=related. Just watch this interview. Don Jazzy is the CEO and Dbanj is the VP. |
Nigeria is doomed! Always blaming evil spirit for alleged misfortunes. OBJ was once blaming evil spirit for Naija's power problem. John Lennon's song captures it all with what's going wrong with Naija. Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people living life in peace |
Only spiritual husbands who are causing troubles and manipulating women sexually? How about spiritual husbands who are so powerful that they can open CBN's dollar vault for their lovers? How about spiritual husbands who make your job interviewer give you that plum job at Shell, Presidency, Mobil, MTN,UN witouth administering any aptitude test? How about spiritual husbands who give their lovers exam answers before the exams are taken? How about spiritual husbands who set up business appointment for you with the likes of Dangote,Bill Gates, JEG and Obama? Problem with us Naija is that we do 20% of work and believe that with miracle and spirituality 80% can be completed by God. God CAN NEVER reward laziness over hard work! |
Did she UNLAWFULLY spend the amount she's being accused of by lawmakers? If yes, she's guilty as charged. It doe not mean that her allegations are unfounded, but it shows that lawmakers could also be guilty as alleged. BTW, why is she telling us now after going before the house? Telling us after the fact. She should have gone public like El-Rufai and Sanusi! |
Govt MUST provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive! But truth be told, most Nigerian graduates have a sense of entitlement or " I must be employed by someone" mentality. Why not be the employer instead of an employee? A very good friend of mine graduated as a civil engineer with good result and I told him to start a small construction targeted at individuals building houses , he opted for an MBA- which is good, now he's done with his MBA, he's back to searching for a job that would give him a furnished office and a car. His mentality throws off me sometimes; because he thinks that he deserves better than "other" people. He does not want to be begging clients for small contracts liking building trenches, water channels, culverts, houses, and maybe factories. |
This reminds me of Jayz vs Damon Dash. The guy who first went to the court of public opinion lost so much $$$ in money making deals and banking/financial courts. Damon was talking while Jay-Z was making millions! "Niggas thought I'd fall without old buddy Oh buddy, what I do is make more money" Jay-Z |
My friend's wife travelled to RSA for delivery and was surprised to see their govt hospital is far better than any govt hospital in Naija. BTW, she paid nothing cos it's free, |
United/Continental Airlines - Lagos- US route was cancelled last week after they had checked in all their customers. They had opened the door for boarding, before they cancelled the flight because they could get not jet fuel. |
Quote from: adconline on February 23, 2012, 04:43 PM for N15,000 the cheapest ticket? ie $93 to see Bobby Brown the crack-head? The rich always get ripped off in Naija! I don't think you are correct. It might be the vip tix you are actually referring to. This is Nigeria, So dem no fit try am Submit your own verified facts because "I don't think" does not win arguement, it makes you look unprepared. |

The stats were based on spending not on earning! It could be interpreted to read that Niger state spends more than any other state in Naija! |
Folks please read the NBS stats: according to The Nation, 10% of top income earners in Nigeria spend about 48% of our national spending while about 20% of top income earners sustain Naija economy with 80% spending. It simply means that 2 of out 10 Nigerians are richer than the whole country put together. Nigeria is a poor country and there is no way out! |
We should be telling FG to provide power or subsidize diesel for this man. I was in his Enugu factory a couple of weeks ago. His factory has up to 20 stand-by Gensets with minimum of 500KVA. About 7 Gensets were left outside because they went bad while being used in production. |
fatties make up all the excuses in this world. How come my mum never gained weight after all these kids? ANSWER: She was not gluttonous and never will be |
Alhaji, It seems one of your relatives is a member of the oil cabal? FYI: banks are closed in Enugu. Quit ranting on NL and go to the real world- where street protests are held |
