Sienna, NLers like you are still part of the reason why I haven't left this site that seems to have been taken over by junk and vitriolic issues. Thank you for the volume of information you keep bringing to this site! |
Still have sister's no who was killed by a hit and run driver. I'm not thinking of deleting it soon. My only last memory of her was talking to her on the same line! |
Naija work ethics are bad. Most times, kids who are apparent heir to their parents' bussinesses don't put in the amount of work required to sustain the business like their parents did. They just want to do the barest minimum. Minimum input equals minimum/negative output! |
In 2004 US Senate campaign in Illinois, Obama ran against a fellow black man, Harvard trained Republican opponent Alan Keyes. Obama beat him by 43 points. Alan Keyes got little or nothing from fellow black voters |
It's enshrined in Naija constitution! |
88% of blacks voted for John Kerry in 2004. What would you call that? |
Nigeria simply is incapable of doing anything good to benefit her citizens! |
ballabriggs: Will you close your mouth, you think this is your village meeting. What was the aim of that programme? So long as there is no gag order from the courts, all the parties involved are free to air their dirty laundry.. |
thelastPope: I told all the foolish Obama supporters on here that he was not different from Bush. Those Nigerian eediots retweeting four more years are applauding their enemy. They don't know what's coming. Smh!What has Obama's re-election got to do with this? Would Rommney's policies have been anything different? The way folks talk on NL is nauseating. You should be mad at our leaders because few years from now, our biggest buyer-US might stop buying, which would crash oil prices and Naija would be broke. A big warning to Naija thieving POLITRICKIANS! |
Who still wants to know if Naija is better than UK? |
nas 00: From the outset, it had been one of the targets of LASG to transform Lagos into a mega city and there's a time frame to it. In an ideal mega city, motor bike is not an option as a means of public transport. Compare Tokyo, Sidney, New York, Paris, Berlin etc.. Banning okada in some parts of Lag is understandably in line with achieving the laid out goal. Bear in mind the attendant merits of phasing out okada as a means of public transport.A state that can't deal with waste management and pot holes now wants to be like NYC, Tokyo and Sydney? Come on let's start with little things like cleaning gutters, creating flood and waste channels, fixing roads and pot holes. A state that gets flooded every time 1inch rain drops should not be comparing itself with NYC and co. Anyway in Naija, dreams and fantasies trump realities and hard work |
The ruling class has refused to fix the roads and railway, now it's time to buy airplanes for their comfort, so that they can stay further away from the masses. |
Stupid Governor! US doesn't care about him. He should take care of Abians the way US takes care of her own.. |
geeez: They are petty traders my friend! I've worked in over 6 banks, including an Igbo bank and I know those that issue big ticket LCs are not those petty traders in AlabaAn employee who does not know what it takes to own a business is calling business owners petty traders. You are employee because you don't have the balls to underwrite your own risks. Why are bankers like you always going after these traders? |
Fortunately, people in villages are better behaved than folks I see in Lagos. Lagosians are the first to shout on top of their lungs because noise pollution has affected their hearing..first to fight for anything.. Molue, keke, BRT, taxis, Okada.. First to insult and assault.. First to get angry because of stressful environment. |
Most guys know that you must spend money on girls.. It's obvisious to guys that relationships are not free. It's stupid for some girls to think that guys are MUGU since u have to give to get. These women need to wake up to reality. |
Can you also tell us how many people have been hit or killed by motor vehicles in your statistics? |
Drinking panadol for another man's headache. Wetin concern you. Go and put ur house in order first! |
Naija and our fascination with having many kids.. Tomorrow somebody is going to ask if Nigeria is better than UK? |
Our perverted sense of values manifests in many other ways. On a typical day, just look at the number of supposedly sane people, sweating profusely and suffocating themselves on dark 3-piece suites in the scorching heat of a tropical climate. Somehow, it still has not registered in our colonially fogged minds, that we live in a tropical climate and that we should be dressing for comfort rather than for class and style and effect. Everyone pretends to be and wants to be seen as white collar ON POINT N FUNNY!! |
All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.. Welcome to Naija. Tomorrow someone would ask if Nigerians in diaspora are better off? |
Congrats to the young man! How is this a world record since he attended a university in turkey? Turkish record could have been more appropriate... Just saying |
NLers are mathematically and intellectually challenged to read and understand your great post. How can an unknown company raise $30bn to build a refinery. Saudi Aramco and Venezuela's PDVSA cannot invest such huge amount on refining in their respective countries, let alone an unknown mushroom company in Naija. Dangote group has a market capitalization of about $14bn and unknown company is telling us that it wants to invest $30bn. Untalkable and unimaginable.. Only in Naija where Journalists and educated believe a simple phone call to a certain number can actually kill someone. Wallie: I hate to break it to you guys, but if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is! This is the type of awoof people fall for that makes them become victims of 419. |
Nigeria and Junk Journalism.. I wonder if these journalists graduated from any secondary school? How is possible for an unknown company to spend $30bn on building of a refinery? $30bn is more than our national budget... Does refinery cost of up to this amount? How much is Orient Petroleum spending on building of its refinery? Refineries can be built with $200 million, so why spend $30bn? Dangote Group cannot even claim that they can build a refinery for $3bn.. Another public stunt! |
sheyie2007: Are you saying we don't have any?We do, but why should we use your own subjective experience to meaure how SA stations based in Naija work? Do you know the the difference between company policy and government policy? These stations are privately owned, thus , can put policies in place to attract other non-Nigerian viewers by using quota system... |
MTV-Africa CEO is Nigerian, so what's the fuss? |
Mbadinuju was screened out by PDP. Ngige got PDP nomination and was rigged in by Chris Uba. Peter Obi was declared winner by court. Let's get the facts straight! Yes, Jim Nwobodo lost to C.C Onoh in 1983 elections. |
Nigerians like to be given a presidential suite at another person's expense. Why don't Nigerians start their own music channel and promote Naija music? |
What if there is no heaven? |
It's easier to believe in miracles than to roll up our sleeves and do the real work. It's easier to fantasize about life in paradise than build a real home/country in real life. |
Eko Ile: Why should I do that for you? You don't have any kind of formal education? For a cretin follower like you, how clueless can you be to understand that FG power overrides LASG power in a case like this? Do you in your idiotic mind think that other states cannot follow suit? Your display of sophicated idiocy is really amazing. I thought they invented Google for stagnant brains like yours? I forgot, you are an NL troll |
