Can you read for me? Before you do, define exclusive, residual and concurrent lists.

Where does LASG get the powe to enforce motor licensing requirements?
PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians In Diaspora So Bitter? by adconline(m):
At no point here have i discussed the issue of the "uninsured", rather this was what i said - Close to 50% of the American population would have to go into debt just to pay the $4000 medical bill that Godogwu's mother had to pay for a 3 day hospital say. You also know that most times some dont pay and the rest of us end up with higher premiums to cover that expenses.

OP’s mother paid $4000.00 because she didn’t have any coverage. My relative had a medical problem as a foreign student, the bill was about $4000, his insurance picked almost 85% of the bill. He got the medical care and the insurance paid most of it. In Naija, no insurance, money and good hospital to take care of simplest cases.

The above has nothing to do with the percentage of uninsured. Let us even assume it is, your response is simplistic in that it automatically assumes that everyone else that is insured is guaranteed affordable healthcare. We both know that is a lie in the US. What your 15% fails to take into consideration are the vast millions who are underinsured (i.e. carry insurance cards that essentially do not provide the healthcare they need), those who will reach their lifetime insurance cap as a result of chronic illness (see cancer patients), those who will be dropped from medicaid rolls, dropped from their insurance coverage the minute they actually need to assess it most often due to long time chronic illness. You also do not take into account those whose "health insurance" is merely a health savings account and will be slammed with huge debts the moment they fall sick (i have a friend who just had to payout $5000 for a surgery on a broken nose - he carried "health insurance" by the way).

There you go again. You are talking about folks in the US who have some sort of insurance and will be attended to by physicians and hospital Vs Nigerians who don’t have any insurance, money and hospital to take care of them. There are county and government hospitals in the US that provide services without strict adherence to having health insurance coverage. In Naija , there are no services like that. Basis of my argument: emergency medical problem. Got it?

]It is true that in the US you are not refused service but that is only in the case of an EMERGENCY. Try going into the hospital with a fever and asking for service.

County and government hospitals provide such services. What are your options in Naija? ZILCH

Not true. Millions die every year in the US because many do not have access to healthcare until their condition becomes impossible to save. Your sister would not have died in the US because her case was a medical emergency, unfortunately the bill for her care would end up costing the rest of us in higher premiums every year. It aint free

Skewing facts again. Million don’t die for lack of coverage unless you are taking about Naija. The last figure I saw was less than 30K. Does Naija have figures and stats? Someone getting saved is now equated to bilking the government. Any price tag on human life? Saving life vs Death. In Naija, it's not free and avaialable, in US, it's available and must be paid for.

They are not much different. Let us avoid the bias of looking at issues through rose-colored lenses. If you're broke as a result of not paying a medical bill you may as well be dead here - merely existing is not the same as living. Look at the below scenario...

1. You go broke because you are unable to pay a medical bill = bankruptcy.
2. Bankruptcy = no credit report
3. No credit report = unable to obtain a loan to buy a car, get a house or in some cases land a good job (yes many companies check credit reports as part of the pre-hiring process - i know because i had to consent to one only 3 months ago)

People with bad credit still get medical attention in US, but people with severe medical attention die every day in Nigeria, go through Lagos highways and streets and see the number of patients begging for medical help. How many have you seen in the US?
Yes, cost of care could drive one to bankruptcy, but only the living gets a chance to file for bankruptcy not the dead, in Niaja, you don’t have a chance to live.
How many Nigerians can afford to pay $4000=N600,000 for a medical treatment overseas? Very few, so many Americans whose finances are similar to Odogwu’s mom can afford to get the same medical attention.
Comparing the best Naija has to offer – Odogwu’s mom – with the least insured in America is disingenuous. Let’s compare a pregnant woman in Oshodi market with a pregnant woman in the project in NYC,LA,Chicago in terms of care they each receive.
The type of care Odogwu got is the same type of care a hospital cleaner in that same hospital would get. Could their house servants in Naija enjoy the same treatment if it were to be in Naija?
Tell me how Mrs Odogwu’s servants are doing in Naija.
A Nigeria in Naija who makes about $100K a year does not have it better than a Naija in US/EU who makes $50K/yr in terms of standard of living.

We don't have to skew facts because we are debating. Only less than 15% of Americans do not have coverage. In UK, almost everyone is covered. Even in the US, people are not refused service; you are not asked to make deposit before being treated like in Naija. The man in Isolo does not have any option, while a crackhead in skid row in LA gets treated any time.
My sister was hit by a hit and run driver, she was rushed to the hospital, they demanded for a deposit, because none of my family was there, they let her die. We were called after she had died. This cannot happen in EU/US.
It's disingenuous to say that someone who dies as a result of no care is at par with someone who goes broke after paying his/her medical bill after they have been treated.

I still don't see your point. What's all the rubbish you have been saying driving at? One of you said you have buildings in Nigeria, am I meant to be impressed? Please point out the wealthiest diaspora nigerian and I will tell you someone who isn't loud that Is way wealthier than that person. I have never lacked anything in my 19 years in this life. I went to very good schools in Nigeria and I'm now a junior in college and frankly I can't be bothered by all the rubbish you spilled. My father makes decent money without ties to any form of corruption same thing goes to my mum and that's the same for millions of Nigerian individuals. How many politicians do you even think there are in the whole country? Like! The way some of you old folks talk atimes is really shameful. For all the medical trash you've been saying, my uncle had a heart attack once and he wasn't flown anywhere ( he is still alive). The most deprived nigerian abroad has the best healthcare less than 30mins away yea? You say this like its free, my mum came to see me once and was hospitalized for just 3 days and she had to pay a bill of over $4,000 which poor diaspora nigerian working at Burger King can afford this? Please spare me the praise of the western society. If you enjoy living abroad then good for you, I am just here for school and when I'm done....I'm gone

You are still a spoilt brat who thinks that his parents are better than everyone else. Tell me any rich Nigeria who does not crave to come to the US/EU for business, leisure, medical treatment, education , and all the good things of life? I can show you many successful Naija folks in EU/US who do not miss anything in Naija except their families. Tell me how your maids, cooks, gate guards, servants are doing? How many of them can afford to send their kids to good private schools in Naija? How many of them can afford to go to a teaching hospital let alone likes of Ekoo Hospital, Nicholas, and Niger Foundation? Let’s measure with most deprived in Naija with Diasporans who are struggling overseas. In diaspora, most folks who are of you age -19, stand on their own without their parents unlike in Naija where folks who graduated from universities with no jobs, are still being fed, clothed, sheltered and provided by their families, friends and associates. If western society as bad as you are saying, why are you studying there? Why are your parent visiting? Why are your parents going there for medical check-ups? I guess your uncle survived heart attack, because he was treated in Aso Rock, but Stella OBJ died in Spain, Yaradua in Saudi and Patience trying to surving in Germany.
Naija is dream killer!

Dude, I never said I was living a bling life in school... If you read well you I said I live a better life in Nigeria than in the US that is all. As for the security of property, infrastructure, healthcare and all...I'd rather stay in my country and watch it grow to have all these things or do you think these western countries had all these things in place at 52?. Fact still remains that if you are sick, there are hospitals, infrastructure is growing daily and security can never be guaranteed but Boko haram is a terrorist group plaguing Nigeria and cannot be seen as a fault of the government. You need to get your facts right...Nigeria is the second largest economy in Africa and amongst the pillars that hold up the continent. Then again you said Africa is poor, like did you expect every country in Africa to compete with countries in Europe, America and all? Please don't be daft.. When did these countries gain independence?, when did the westerners stop exploiting them. Finally, I want to know why exactly you are saying these things?, what are you trying to put

Still living in delusion of grandeur. You think you are better in Niaja. If a severe heart attack hits you, the closest hospital to take care of you is in South Africa -about 4 hrs away. The most deprived Naija in Abroad is less 30 mins away from the best medical care if hit with same problem. In Naija, if you get in a serious accident that requires complicated medical procedure to be done in less than 2 hrs, you can be guaranteed that you are joining your ancestors. If your private jet, banana island condo,Osbourne estate mansion,Bentley catches fire in Naija, be praying that folks have enough pure water to put out the fire, cos fire service is dead. Go and ask Dana Airline eyewitnesses. You still sound like a well off Nigerian who is bitter that most Naija folks in diaspora can afford the same life style you 'enjoy" in Naija without knowing anybody in government; not inheriting wealth; not being involved in corruption, but through shear tenacity and hard work. You are bitter because hard work and tenacity have catapulted most Nigerians in diaspora to the winner circle in Naija.
Since you are a student with well off parents, tell us how well-off your maids, cooks, gate-men are doing since Naija is a paradise on earth?

LOOL Please whose dream?

Politicians rich and powerful in Naija would love to live in EU/US if they could still be powerful. Why are they buying properties and investments over there? Why do they shop over there? Why are their kids studying over there? Go to EU/US embassies in Naija and see number of people applying for visa. Before you respond, check your gen set to see if there is enough petrol to last you till 12am. Check your GSM to see if there is network, check your bathroom if there is water. BTW, have you pressed your shirt and trousers for work/business before PHCN cuts you off? Is your bank ATM working? Is your bank network working? IS your flight going to be grounded/cancelled because of FAAN? Be worried about you and your Nigeria.
Your dream? Not being harassed by thieves, kidnappers ,boko haram, police and thugs. having a 24/7 constant power, having a telephone network that works, having a bank ATM machine that actually works and dispenses cash-
By living in Niaja, you have sentenced yourself to a shorter lifespan of less than 50 years, while someone who escapes that chaos gains over 25 years.

YOU LIVE IN DELUSION OF GRANDEUR = NIGERIA
PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians In Diaspora So Bitter? by adconline(m): 4:14pm On Oct 05, 2012
Here is something to consider. It takes 6hrs for most flights from Naija to EU, so if GEJ gets heart attack, he's going to die before he gets to EU, but a Naija in EU gets that world class medical attention immediately.
You live in Naija with all ur money, your life span is less than 50 years, you live in EU/US your life span is above 70yrs.

Motor vehicle licesening in Naija falls under exclusive power of FG,, as such, motorists cannot be over-burnened by LASG to have double license plate. If other states emulate the same, it means that a driver is required to have 37 license plates from 36 states plus FCT.

It's mostly eating that got you in your situation, so eating far less would likely take you where you would like to be. I have seen chubby/fat folks who want to trade position with healthy/fit folks, but I dont know of healthy folks who want to swap position with chubby/fat folks. Good luck as you work on your weight.

U non-muslims, your hobbies is to incite violence and tarnish d image of the chosen religion of GOD (Islam). De are terrorists who wants to ridicule Islam. They love war and use dat to gain power and wealth (America, Israel and d west)

De think we are hypocrites like dem. De make films abusing dere own god de call Jesus (Prophet Isa) and they believe we muslims would tolerate dat towards Prophet Muhammad (SAW). NO but nevertheless dat doesnt mean retaliating d innocent is justifiable.

Can u allow someone to intentionally abuse, slander and degrade your parents image in a continuous manner without reacting against such insidious act.
Can U, talkless of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Mercy upon Mankind?

We muslims are peaceful people but we cant just allow any fellow joyfully abusing our sacred beliefs. Aw can dat happen and we wont voice out our minds.

We ar not hypocrites and low-selfesteemed like non-muslims who have no purpose and stance in dis life. because u abuse and make jest of your god so u think oda sensible people who display assertiveness will allow that.

We ar not copy cat. U incite violence and love disunity. If we eventually defend ourselves and our position, u all wil b labelling us terrorist. Aw hypocritical is dat, dat is wot cry babies do; no mind of their own, always following d crowd.

De think we wil revenge by posting spiteful pictures of Jesus (Prophet Isa), one of the prophets of ALLAH (GOD). Aw moronic de ar to think we wil do dat by our standards. We ar kind-hearted people and love all the prophets of ALLAH (Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Lot, Jesus, Isaac, Muhammad, Jacob, John, Job, Hud, Moses, David, Solomon to mention just a few). De are muslims as de all submitted to the oneness of ALLAH.

We believe in the books (d Zabura of David, the Torah of Moses, Bible and Qur'an). The previous books before the Qur'an has been adulterated and changed by man. So God sent the Holy Qur'an to Mankind through Prophet Muhammad (SAW). So the Qur'an is d only book to be followed. The previous books has been discarded.

Muhammad is d last Prophet of God. D revelation of his coming is in the bible but most of your pastors wont tell u for selfish reasons. Muhammad is not God, he is d Messenger of God just like other prophets. God revealed the last holy book (the Qur'an) through him to mankind to guide them towards the right path. Muhammad is not the founder of Islam. Islam is d religion from ALLAH dat wil b accepted in d Day of Judgement and as since being in existence.

The West are intimidated of the growing number of muslims in the globe and they are now trying to spoil our image through media for their selfish reasons. What a waste of time and resources. Is dat aw to preach ur religion by abusing oda people religion. Dat shows aw evil and babaric u guys are. However, more and more people ar converting to Islam daily in d West. It is worthy to note dat the number of muslims in China is more dan those in Nigeria.

Non-muslims, dont allow people to deceive you anymore. Know the truth about Islam. When there is life, there is hope.

Stop blaming yourself. You did not make him do it. He did it on his own, so do not share that guilty with him. If it took him that long to start, enjoy, regret, stop and confess his illicit affair, it's probably going to take you longer time to navigate that rocky road of trying to rebuild trust. It takes special grace to forgive and continue with someone who cheated on you. As a business person, it's hard for me to trust someone if she/he has disappointed before. When considering partners for any business venture, I'd always consider those who have earned my trust in the past. I guess marriage is different.

Just tell him that he's been given couch treatment as Hillary Clinton did to her husband when he cheated on her. If you have racked up vacay time and PTO, just take time off from your job. maybe travel with kids to any place of your dream. Visit a lot of friends and family who are not going to be nosy in your business since you have chosen not to tell them.

This is not the time to feel vulnerable that he might leave you for another woman. Experience has shown you that he can leave if he wants to, I'd also want you to feel that same empowerment that you can leave if you want to. Time to also extract enough concession from him for his behavior. Ask for a post-nuptial agreement, consolidation of all his financial accounts, IRAs, profit sharing accounts and investments into one, to be managed by you. You have to shut him down financially. Just shake him down financially for a role reversal if he's the one that pulls more weight financially. Make sure you put no cheating clause in the post-nuptial agreement, make it voidable or renewable after 10 years.
Finally, this is the time to take care of you and kids. Start putting money away in a separate bank/investment/mutual fund. ING and Co are at your beck and call.

Time to stand up and see that you got an opportunity that is f:ucking golden to repair and reposition yourself.

Yes, Islam is a religion of peace. It just depends on what is really attributed to as peace.
One other funny observation is that you will never see the elitist and educated Muslims or their children partaking in all these demonstrations. it is usually the impoverished, uneducated illiterates and the jobless ghetto dwellers who have no understanding of issues.
Just wonder why they do not even see it. God does not need humans to fight His battle for Him. God is almighty. Well, am assuming we are talking about the same God.

How about Muttalab who went to one of the best schools in the world? How about London bombers 07/07/07? How about Fort Hood- USA terrorist? There is something about Islam that encourages adherents to spill innocent blood at a slight disagreement .

The best way to leave together both Christian and Muslim is to learn how to respect each other religion.. Disrespecting prophet Muhammed or publishing that may aggravate tension among us should be prohibited.. Imagine that nigeria journalist in 2002 uttering rubbish, that Denmark cartoon about prophet Muhammed, that Pakistan Boy that fled to uk for protection that wrote the satanic quran, the burning of quran by American soldiers and now the recently air uk TV comic about Islam was greeted with wide spread of critism from Islamic clerics n followers this scorn and disrespectful act towards Islam should be stopped and must be stopped... Learn to respect Islam and accomodate Islamic teaching in ur Christianity ways that way we will all live happil

Ok so i recently met this guy and hes from new york, and in the beginning he told me that his mom was nigerian and his father black. I am attracted to him but by looking at his picture he looks like an average african american so i associated that with an american accent, that was totally not the case. SO we finally talked over the phone and he has a nigerian accent which kinda threw me back because i couldnt pair his voice with what i saw. Immediately from the beginning he was calling me baby and that he wanted a serious relationship those were red flags as well but the main thing is i dont know how to feel now because the whole thought of dating an african is a little scary and unsettling seeing how i never dated a african before. But also when u think of african men u think of womanizer and not good english or understanding of different culutres. Something in me is telling me to just turn the other way and not invest any of myself into thiswhat

Your experience as claimed does not really exist, because you have never dated one. BTW, Africa is a continent of over 800 million with different races including white, black, and Arab. It seems you learned geography from Sarah Palin?
It seems you are living in your insular and myopic world- You equate accent with "good English". Since you are a lady, go and check out Indra Nooy, CEO of PEPSICO and tell me if her American accent is better than yours, tell us your net-worth.

Your post is full of stereotypes and you sound very close-minded, so it's better you stick with "good' people you are comfortable with. If you ever be with this uneducated and uncultured man, he's always gonna be on the edge trying to prove you wrong based on the assumptions u have about him.

She has taught me that weight gain is a direct result of gluttonous behavior .
