tit: a weaker naira means that it will be cheaper to produce goods in nigeria and sell to the world! this should be an employment opportunity for hardworking people and entrepreneurs. Kurukere economics! It would cost more to buy machinery for manufacturing in Naija. There is no electricity. Currency depreciation and devaluation just reduced your networth by 25% ie your money buys a lot less!! |
Romance › Re: Top 10 Reasons Why A Guy Should Get Married by adconline(m): 9:50pm On Dec 20, 2014 |
chibwike: Disclaimer: Please oh, this inspiration was gotten from my head. Attending a wedding, and currently listening to happy day by patoranking. I decided to put a few reasons why i feel a guy should get married. I feel marriage is a beautiful thing. Congrats to those celebrating today.
And nobody should bash me oh.Lol
That being said, here are my reasons
Marriage allows you show love in a way that nothing else can.
Marriage provides stable enviroment for kids
it allows you to fully commit yourself to one person
Life is much easier when you have a partner by your side.
The idea of commiting to someone who accepts you for who you are, is really cool.
Marriage is a money saver.
Through marriage the woman you love, can become part of your family.
Marriage is been ordained by God, so it actually reduces your chances of commiting immoral sin, fornication and the rest.
Marriage helps in creating an awesome family to make up for the family, some of us never had.
And finally, marriage simply makes logical sense.
Feel free to add yours. Only a fool would believe that marriage is a money saver!! No wonder many adults have kids without saving up and taking care of them. Marriage in an investment into a solid future for your kids if you take good care of them!! |

From your post, it clearly shows that he hasn't formally introduced you to his parents at their family home, doing on so on ur convocation day could have be embarrassing to you and him as well. Some parents can't take it lightly when you don't bring your would-be partner to their home first. Maybe he's planning on formal introduction to his family at their family home. |

revolt: omo this is real rocket science sha!! Anyways Us doesn't import pmc they refine so competition and govt policies can affect pricing in a way it won't affect profits.
Nigeria imports . Naija prices are based on crude oil prices set at New York Mercantile Exchange. Refining cost is constant, thus, Naija importers are paying less.. Yar'dua slashed prices and Naija didn't go broke.. We have a profligate govt that only knows how to spend but doesn't know how to cut their spending or give people a replieve. |

bollify: I quiet disagree with you on this. The human mind is not completely tabular raza at birth. There are some innate knowledge for varying individual at birth. Some of it develop to become a talent. For example, when a new born heard a shout, or something fearful, they shout, cry or do something to react to that strange occurence. If you take a new born child away from his or her mother, he or she will show disapprval either by crying or otherwise. That is the knowledge available to them at that instant and there is no experience that cos them to realise something is wrong somewhere. You are talking about learned conditioning and involuntary action.. A deaf child at birth can still emote and feel pain.. But brain is an empty slate at birth |
Politics › Re: Gov Fashola Ignorantly Seeks A Cut In Petrol Pump Price by adconline(m): 12:29am On Dec 08, 2014 |
Bayswater: That's Fashola playing to the gallery again saying rubbish under the pretence of not being an economist. He has economic advisers, he could have sought their advise before displaying his hypocrisy. That a barrel of oil is now $65 does not mean the cost of producing it or bringing it to the pump will change. Pump price has not been reduced in the UK, usa and across Europe. His attempt at using a bushmeat seller's logic has failed woefully.
Even if we refine the crude oil here, the cost if producing a barrel of oil would still be more than $65 per barrel. Even the average cost of producing the shale which people consider cheaper, is above $70 per barrel. As long as we don't refine crude here, it would take months for us to see reduction in pump prices.
Our greedy oil marketers too will not allow us feel the positive impact even when they start getting oil at reduced prices, they would want to maximise their profit. Lie!! Prices dropped in the US to its lowest in 5 years... |

Investment › Re: Why CBN Increased Monetary Policy Rate To 13% by adconline(m): 5:31pm On Dec 05, 2014 |
BlackTechnology: This policy is good and will be made better if the CBN reduce the rate to 6% for agriculture mining construction and manufacturing sectors and increase the rate to 20% for traders(importers).
In short
Import duties should be increased by 1,000% for finished imported products to discourage importation and encourage local production by making foreign finished products too expensive for people to buy which will force people to patronize local products thereby strengthening local industrialization.
Government should partner foreign firms and set up industries whose products we import. A nation that imports almost everything should not increase trarrifs to 1000%.. Are u willing to pay 1000% on your phone or tab that you are using to post on NL?? Have u tried borrowing?? The banks charge as much as 30% collateralised security.. |

U kmariko: really , if we are a nation of cants
how come we built Abuja from scratch in the first place.
if we are a nation of can'ts how come we are still a democratic nation after 15 years
if we are a nation of can'ts how come eko atlantic is slowly rising.
if we are a nation of can'ts how come abuja -kaduna lines are built
if we are a nation of can'ts compare Akwa Ibom now and 10 years ago,
the list goes on You built Abuja yet it's not Lagos built and planned by colonialists. Abuja has no railway system. No cebtralized public water supply system. No centralised sewage and drainage system. No function traffic system. No centralized crime/CCTV system. Until u visit other countries in Southern and Northern African countries, you would realise that Abuja is a dummy city... |
