The bottom line is that certain changes can be made on your form in as much ad u have a valid and genuine document to back it up. Especially,errors in names,dob, and address .

Yes, you links are correct but as a person you seem not to understand the DV processes or argument... yes, you cannot change your personal info again after you have filled and submitted your E-DV entry form... but the op argument is base on changes between the winning entry personal info and the E-DV entry form. When you play the dv lottery, you only submit limited info, so when you are now selected, you need to submit detail personal info through the E-DV entry form... at the time of filling the E-DV entry form, you can make reasonable correction, but you cannot after submission of the E-DV entry form.

When the first thread started there were more 'winners' than the actual winners, more cases of refusals and AP as a result of fake marriages, impostors and fake adoptions, mostly because genuine winners and fake ones got paired by an agent as husband and wife then documents are forged to keep the fraud going.

People who turned up for an interview but look nothing like the picture submitted when they entered the lottery. people who suddenly claimed to have adopted a child and forged papers to back it up.

I moderated that thread page to page and noticed how suddenly some members never came back to share their testimonies after their interviews but after sometimes a new ID will show up asking for immigration lawyer or complaining how one agent got them in trouble.

The second thread has less number of ghost winners because the agent-format is not working as it used to though one was caught at the embassy trying to attend visa lottery interview he never played. The VO reported him in that thread and i banned him.

Don't bother giving them links to support your argument because many of them used the 'short-cut' and hate to be told the truth.

Ghana generates 2125MW for 26mil ie 1MW for 12,235 people while Naija generates 3500MW for 170m people ie 1MW for 48,570 people. So it looks that Ghana stands a better chance of supplying electricity to Naija

Gigga40 is right. In the old system when you win the lottery, they send the package to you, at that point you can change DOB if there is error. You may not be able to change it the monment you submit that form. There can be error in the way your name is spell, you have that grace. I am talking of genuine mistake here, not Funke that is now Teju. If Funke is mistakingly spelled as Fuke u can put your n there. I am talking about the time you receive congratulatory message and the package, not after schedule you for interview. How it is done today, I don't know but 7 years ago it was possible.

There's a town called ile oluji in ondo state,rumour has it that they have the highest number of dv lottery winners, and most times the winners are youth corpers whose information was got from their year book. DOB is absolutely pardonable, You can NEVER be DENIED visa based on wrong DOB on ur original/initial entry. Go and ask Visaofficer.

Keep quoting visa officer even though u haven't provided any link to back it up.. How is age mispresentation pardonable when u are you swearing an oath that you have answered all questions correctly to the best of ur ability?
Since age is a criterion for u to be eligible to apply, allowing u to change your DOB after you have won means that you have gamed the system.
Americans HATE telling them something after the fact has been made known or u have been caught.. So telling them that you made a mistake in your DOB after u have won would make them see u as stupid and therefore, will not allow.
Another scenario: Imagine telling FIFA that we used overaged players to qualify for Under 17-WC and you still expect FIFA to uphold our qualification?

For example, if you wanted to write 12/10/1974 and you wrote 10/12/1974, you can correct it at the time you're filling your immigrant DS260 form. You cannot however change your year of birth from say 12/10/1974 to 12/10/1983. Hope u got it?

I have played mutiple times! Does that allow me to circumvent the rule?? Common sense tells that you can't change it because it's based on age eligibility. If you are under 18, you are more than likely going to be disqualified because 12-yr of education is a requirement. Changing your DOB would alter your educational xprience.
Married Children or children of above 21 cannot be applied for by their parents. Age eligibility.. If u change your DOB, it would make useless this provision.

Naija mentality of endless argument without backing it up with facts. It's always 2nd or third person Experience .. I know someone that knows someone BS story. It's on US embassy website that you can't change your DOB, but can change your name with court affidavit. Provide something to the contrary. You have nothing to back ur argument up. Just because Naija is peopled by folks who believe that someone can turn to vulture, goat, bird, snake etc doesn't make it right. I can't remember the pages exactly and you know nairaland lost data few months ago so i can't pinpoint the exact page!You can just read it tru @ ur own time just to educate yourself!

lemme break it down to you how this works....After you av bin randomly selected for further processing I.e winning the lottery,(This is after the initial entry)

The next thing is to fill forms called ds 230 and 122 which is to b sent back to KCC. at this stage you are entitled to make corrections on whatever mistake you made on the initial entry eg DOB,PLACE OF BIRTH,NAME ETC ETC! The new forms with the correct infos will be added to your case/file immediately it get there and this is what they will reckon with @ the embassy because you have made corrections or adjustments!

After visa approval @ the embassy, the DOB,NAME,PLACE OF BIRTH etc etc on your visa/your info on their record will definitely be the right one you corrected/adjusted and not the same one on the initial entry!

Your infos will be changed according to the last one you updated before your interview....This happened to some pple on 2014 dv thread and VO can also confirm this too!

For simple question. Why has he not built a political brand that is endearing to most Nigeria in the last 15yrs. How many flawless and corrupt-free politicians has he mentored or raised in Naija? Errors in Application


Correcting the errors in the E-DV application form is not allowed once it is submitted. We get emails from people asking "how can I correct the error in the submitted E-DV online application form of the DV Lottery now?". For them following is the answer. Error Correction of the names, date of birth and change of addresses in the submitted E-DV entry form can't be allowed now. Also the address you entered in the E-DV entry form too can't be changed to another one.

Before you start entering your details in the E-DV application form online, you must understand that you are in the process of applying for an Immigrant visa. Therefore all the information you are giving must be perfect and 100% true.

So it is your duty to check the information in the application form for spelling error in your name, your spouse name and children names before you submit the online application form.

Check the date of birth for you and all persons in the entry as you can make selection mistake in the day, month and year. When entering the birth city you must take care to give the correct one with correct spelling for you and to others if you have any dependants. When selecting the birth country clearly bring the country name in position.
Also check carefully how you are selecting the eligibility country name.

When you are going to enter the address of yourself you must decide first whether you will stay in the address in the coming May to July month period. Because around this period the selection notifications may be sent by postal mail to the given addresses as in the entry forms of the DV Lottery applicants.

Also in the DV Lottery application form there is a field for your email address but don't expect them to notify you about your selection for the program through the email.
If you feel that your country postal service is not good, then you can use a friend's or relative's address in another country. So if you are intended to use another person's address who is living in another country, don't forget to inform them that you are using their address.

If you have already made an error and you are selected for the program, then the consular officer who is going to interview will decide about it on the day of the interview. Some time if the KCC finds out that your online submitted entry details didn't match with your details in the visa application form, you may not get the visa interview letter.
So double check everything in the application form before you submit it. According to the rules you can't blame someone else for the mistakes or errors in your submitted entry.

He's picking and choosing good facts as being covered, told and written by global media. He should also be objective and honest when these same bodies say that AIDs, Malaria, TB,Hunger, measles, cholera etc kill over 500k Nigerians every year.
