Just heard that Zenith declared bonus shares. 1:5 |
And pls, what just happened to Zenith. Down to N52 |
But I would rather have great services from the moon than have crap from my brother. |
kliverpool:I thought you knew that only Lagos has HiTV right now. The whole of Nigeria is experiencing near-complete blackout, including the CTL ppl in PH. The whole point is one monopoly should not be replaced by an inefficient one. |
And the shame of it all is that Nigerians up-country no longer have access to live matches. |
Hi, If you're buying a property, is there a limit in the amount of money that they can finance? |
COMIN TO AMERICA ! seen that movie like 300 times. RANSOM PAYBACK ARELU (orisabunmi & co) |
@pololo i think your present environment immediately matters when contributing to posts, as someone in ontario or seattle will see less ijesha men than the one in oke-imesi. and a yoruba person like me would really never have known what these calabar okada riders sound like, save for the imitations from comedians. so it's ok to contribute and talk about welsh and new zealand, or southern (as in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi) accents. i was just wondering why we all missed out the ibo way of calling orange "olange". (twas so hilarious hearing that on the streets of Orlu) |
how come no-one has talked abt a Hausa babe speaking lovely english, with the lilting accent. or the calabar man that operates okada in port harcourt. One you love, the other you cant but find amusing. |
babasin:I can just simply imagine that Real Estate in Abuja and Kaduna can appreciate that quickly, u know! Not just real estate but anything that is an ASSET. It would be real terrible to declare the same thing 8 years after, no be so ? |
Eh, someone pls tell me that Andy Uba did not declare 1trillion as his networth/assets ! Or did he?[ ![]() |
A very good thing Yar'Adua has done. And as stated earlier, he stopped lecturing in the late 70s. Most of what he has were gotten in the 80's from his brother, the more-known Shehu Musa Yar'Adua. I'm happy for us jare. ![]() |
@ Topic A picture is worth a thousand words, ![]() |

@ spora, Thanks for your comment but i did not say that one should not pray, but I'm against praying first, believeing God had answered (like jesu-seun said) and then asking people to pray all over again, like the first prayer did not hit its mark. It would have been better to (in spite of how this sounds) 1) wake up from the dream, refuse to pray abt it, log on to this forum and ask us to pray 2) wake up from the dream, pray about it, know your prayer has been answered, inform us online that a major catastrophe has been averted (cos you know God answered your prayer) Of course, i dont want any plane crash either but i also dont think it's good to get all frenzied up in fear. |
swiftycool:hmm, i beg to differ there ! It smirks of unbelief to pray abt something and then let people know in order to pray more, I feel you though. It's just right to know that prayer can be answered and known to be answered ! |
Hi Bimbor, If your line is post-paid/business line (like from MTN), its will not browse (by default), just as u can't call International by default until you call the customer care and request to have it enabled. Is your line post-paid ? |
All these suggestions may not work, I think upgrading the dog's OS can help a bit. Just do the following, i'm sure your dog will bark. 1. Install Service Pack 6a on your dog, preferrably in the middle of the night 2. Reboot after installation. Remove the network cable (tail ?) while doing this. 3. Enable firewall. And your dog is like new! |
See the reply from a provider in Naija here. this is in response to an e-mail enquiry. "Thanks for your interest in our product. The 2.5KVA inverter is =N=87,000 and the 5KVA is =N=145,000, the 2.5KVA inverter requires 2 battery of 200AH deep cycle, and one(1) is =N=48,000, 2 of it will cost =N=96,000. So the 2.5KVA inverter + 2Battery=N=183,000, while for 5KVA Inverter + 4 Battery is =N=337,000. The 2.5KVA requires a minimum of 2 of 75watts solar panel and 5KVA requires a minimum of 4 of 75watts solar panel, one of the 75watts solar panel is =N=71,000 although this is for for an hybrid system. Thanks as we await doing business with you." of course i've sent another mail to confirm the make of his products. He says the solar is the photovoltaic type. Naijafresh's recommendations. His price is so different from things quoted on this page. Or are his Made in nigeria ? |
@Naijafresh You sound so knowledgeable about this thing. but i've spoken with a reseller before (in naija) who didn't give me that big a price ($28,000) for the solar panels. I would ike to install one later this year. just doing my background qork. thanks for the comments though |
So can anyone tell us how much solar panels or the complete solar solution costs ![]() ? |
Wow, Everyone here has been talking like she died or something. She'd been talking of pursuing a solo career for over a year now, and it was just the natural way of things. Much better for the two of them, and for their marital relationships (what with all the rumors). Anyway, i hope she finds herself a good song-writer, arranger, producer etc 'cos all she has (to the naked eye) is that ability to sing. Without all the things that Lagbaja provided (especially the song-writing and arrangements), she will have a VERY LONG WAY to go. |
I can imagine that this topic may not get a lot of attention. Though i've not been reading as much as i used to, i found Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer very very hilarious. And i can read it a million times. Also liked the pacesetter Sisi a lot while growing up. Nyengi Koin was really good with The Second Chance Wole Soyinka's Ake is also a must-read. But as i said earlier, Tom Sawyer is arguably the best novel i've read. |
I once saw a documentary where some houses in Japan have solar panels as their roofing sheets. These houese 'trap' enough power for their consumption, store this power, and the excess is SOLD to the power utilities (like NEPA) over the NEPA lines that go their houses. I was completely shocked that one could actually give NEPA a bill for the power you supplied them, and is that not cool ![]() i can imagine that this kind of solar solution will be expensive, but imagining that it is expensive does not stop one from finding out how it can be done cheaply. |
Hi everyone, One major source of frustration in today's Nigeria is the lack of constant electric power. What can, or what should we do to get this thing right ![]() ![]() ![]() How is it working elsewhere? Do we go solar for rural areas. Millions of Nigerians generate their own power, but is there nothing we can do to have all these problems go away ![]() ![]() |
I feel you. I'm outta here anyway, see you l8er |
@whiteroses, just curious, which boarding house were you in ![]() ![]() |
