Interesting responses as usual on nairaland.
1. I know d name raises eyebrows but i'm used to that, like Rotimi Amaechi is used to his. School records at FGC Ilorin shd satisfy anyone interested though.
2. The letter was written as an  indirect response to an IBB advert describing him as a man u can trust.
3. I would love to get a response from the General. If none comes, no offence taken.
4. I will limit my nairaland response to this. A friend just drew my attention to this post.

Thank you.  And God bless Nigeria.

Just checking,
Are you saying the buyer will have to clear this himself?
jenju:

This Camry is for the low budget buyer that still wants to enjoy all that comes with the 2007 Camry. I've priced this one very low for quick sale. It arrives Lagos Early October, I expect to sell this before it is custom cleared.

The car speaks for itself. Its a 2007 Toyota Camry CE, under 40,000miles. ONLY N2.65Million

Great initiative.
Dont let the other scandal change your mind here.

And do comprehensive background checks on the people you finally take. With guaranteed guarantors.
In other words, watch your back very closely.

All the best.
Autos / Re: Check Light. by adechuks(m): 10:10am On Sep 19, 2008
You may need to locate a car-diagnostic center where your camry can be plugged in and diagnosed properly.
What the mechanics would likely do is reset something in the fusebox, and the check engine light will disappear; but that does not mean the problem (if there is any) has gone.

You can say that again.
The guy (masai or no masai) simply writes well.

As you would expect, I followed up the links he put in (like someone who does nothing all day but wait for posts on this forum would), and lo and behold. our own Sheila is revealed as Kenya's miss tourism 2006. Not just that, i read that Miss Sheila is "a born-again christian". I almost fainted, given the number of tales she has given us about her perpetual drunkenness when back in Kenya, and the pure 18+ junk that comes out of her mouth regularly.
Then i went to the second link and saw she had been 'dethroned' for ‘gross misconduct’. Ha ha,  now we are talking about the same person. And of course, this was a mere 2 months into her reign. I can only imagine that there were several 'warnings', missed appointments, more warnings before they yanked off the crown from her sharp head.

And to think that she's my favorite girl in the house,

@EI

Your kids are lucky.I was born and bred in Lagos and never visited other states till now angry angry.I wish i had such opportunity when i was a kid.Hope you guys had fun anyway, Do you reside in Lagos

Yea, I always felt 'sorry' for Lagos-kids while growing up. Remarkably for me, whenever i mentioned a simple popular novel while in the boarding house, the lagos boys would say thay had seen the film. Tom Sawyerr, Prince and the pauper, Oliver twist are actually films to them, not books. They just didnt know what they were missing.
It was also interesting that majority had never seen snakes b4, except inside zoo (which they still did not have).

Not too late though.I myself lived in Lagos for five years after graduation some years ago. And i'm glad to be out.
http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/editorial_opinion/article02//indexn2_html?pdate=250808&ptitle=Suffering%20and%20smiling%20in%20Lagos

Back to the topic. My parents first lived in Zaria after marriage and later moved us down south. They took us kids round a huge part of nigeria in the 80s, with a sister in FGGC Akure, and a brother in Ilorin, we also visited the FGC in Ugwualawo once. That was a Mr & Mrs Bako kind of experience (or shd i say a Mr & Mrs EI). The Makurdi bridge wasnt quite done so went by ferry thru Agenebode in present-day Edo and landed in Idah (present-day Kogi). I also went to Jos much later.

Some people just simply hate the process -traveling, They just want to get there! And while this is understandable on nigerian roads, i have a friend that simply cant look out of an airplane window. he starts sweating very profusely and refuses to answer you during take-off or landing. He's at that moment gripping the arm rests. He once heard that most plane crashes happen either during take-off or landing.

Mark Twain recommended travel as the best source of inspiration.
We all can do with emulating EI.
Good job.

Oga EI,
You have done well o.

I did a small trip in April myself. but not near as far-reaching as yours.
Drove from PH to Abuja then a visit to Ajaokuta, then onwards to Osogbo through the terrible Okene-Ondo state rd. Osogbo to Warri through Owo/Benin and back to PH.

But a question here, I had noticed on my own trip that police road-blocks were almost non-existent along the Enugu-Anyangba-Lokoja route all the way to Abuja, and generally in the north. Where did you see most police, and what was the general treatment received in their hands.

Lovely car.

I owned a similar car back in 2005 - an '04 model, Avensis T3-S 1,8 VVT.
Was a pretty well equipped car, loved it.
