1 Samuel 2:27-35

27. And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?

28. And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

29. Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

30. Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

31. Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

32. And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

33. And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.

34. And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

35. And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though
the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:God shall help her, and that right early.” Psalms 46:1-5.

As the new year 2020 appeared with a special smiles upon mankind, God messages known as prophecies were delivered to us through our Father in - the - Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye -The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. The messages sounded like a chaotic situation in the passage quoted above. But, there is always a RIVER for
everyone who belongs to God. God will always make Himself available to rescue them.

And we are highly encouraged to hear from God during the declarations of the prophecies
that He would answer prayers this year. God knows we are wise children: we will allow
him to fight on our behalf this year. That is why he promised us victory upon victory
throughout this Century.

Therefore we will permit the River of life to flow in His own way by swimming in the streams of prayers for fifty days. God will definitely help us, and He will deliver us on time.

PRAYER GUIDE

On a daily basis brethren are to spend time in worship, praises with thanksgiving, pray
for mercy, then on topical issues of holiness, obedience, 2020 prophesies, the church
and readiness for the rapture, peace in our nation and peculiar current and recurring
issues.

1. Our father in heaven, we praise you because you are a righteous God in the name

2. Lord we praise you for you are a compassionate God in the name of Jesus. Psa 145:8-9

3. We praise you for you are a merciful God in the name of Jesus.

4. Lord I praise you for your grace that saved us in the name of Jesus. Eph. 2:8

5. We praise you for creating us in Christ Jesus unto good works in Jesus name.

6. We praise you the only one that forgives sin in Jesus name. Psa 103:3

7. We praise you the redeemer of life in the name of Jesus.
Psa. 103:4

8. We praise you Lord for you are great in Jesus name Psa 104:1

9. God the father, we bless your name because you are wise and powerful, we will praise you forever and ever in Jesus name. Dan 2:20.

10. Almighty father God, we will sing and praise you for you are the only one who can rescue the oppressed from the power of evil in the name of Jesus Jer. 20: 3

11. Thank you, Lord, for how great you are, we will proclaim and tell of the wonderful things you have done in the name of Jesus Psa 75:1

12. Thank you for your glory and might power that cannot be surmounted in the name of Jesus 1Chro 16:28

13. Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift He gives us in his dear son Jesus Christ Eph 1:6

14. Lord God, we thank you for your salvation, we will sing to you and proclaim your loving kindness day after day in the name of Jesus 1Chro 6:23

Patience is the ability to stay calm in the face of delays, challenges or controversies. Patience with God is the ability to trust and wait on God in seasons of difficulties, even when the reason does not present itself to wait on Him.

This is very important because those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

So, what then is the reward of patience with God?

Patience with God delivers a person from the danger of alternatives.

It is impatience that makes people work out alternatives to God’s perfect plans for their lives. And alternatives are the ruins of destiny. That thing that is not the plan of God has the capacity of destroying a person’s life and destiny.

Any alternative the devil is offering you is shadow compared to what is ahead for you according to God’s perfect plan. Despise the alternatives and go for reality.

No matter how big water yam is, for instance, it can never serve the purpose of yam – it is not pound-able. No matter how colourful an alternative looks, it can never be as wonderful as the plan of God for you. 

So, settle for the original not the fake; settle for the authentic not the synthetic. Be patient with God and you shall see yourself at the top. Beloved, there is reward for patience with God.

 

REMEMBER THIS: Those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

1. Ask God for mercy in any area you have had alternative(s) to His plan for your life.

Strategy is a plan of action intended to achieve or accomplish a specific goal. It connotes putting a plan into an operational or achievable form. 

Strategy involves putting your mind to work. And nothing works out when the mind is not at work. A mad man, for instance, is not employable; he cannot vote or be voted for because his mind is not working as it should.

It is important to note that the quality of your mentality determines the dignity of your destiny. Not to think is to stink and sink; those who don’t reason can’t escape the prison. The synergy of strategy is the synergy of energy; to be strategic is to be energetic. It is confirmed that the power of the mind is stronger than the power of the muscle. It is the mind that determines the direction of life.

Now, what does strategy do?

1. Strategy eliminates struggles: Where strategy is lacking, the struggle continues (1 Samuel 30:. To know how to do it well eliminates unnecessary sweat.

2. Strategy expedites success: Strategy fast-forwards success, it expedites, accelerates and facilitates success (Proverbs 22:29).Nothing is permitted to be successful until someone has decided to be strategic.

Beloved, don’t live your life to chance; live your life deliberately, calculatedly and strategically.

You are going up, in Jesus’ Name.

To excel is to surpass someone or something. It is to be much better than others. To excel is also to exceed or go beyond expected limits in positive performance or outcome, while excellence is the quality of being outstanding and remarkable in performance or outcome. 

Excellence is key to eminence. Excellence is doorway to prominence. To avoid mediocrity is to embrace excellence. Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny. Mediocrity on the other hand is the doorway to obscurity. You cannot do things shabbily and expect to make any meaningful mark in your generation.

Excellence defies sentiments and prejudices. It conquers all forms of discrimination and segregation. For instance, even though Daniel was not a Babylonian, he rose to the top in Babylon on the wings of excellence (Daniel 6:3).

Whatever you do, ensure that you give it your best. A particular thing may be good enough but I have realized that “good enough” is never enough. It is being better than the best that is good enough. Make up your mind to do things with excellence.

Beloved, whatever will not be done excellently must be left totally. Average input can never produce an excellent outcome. It is Input that determines outcome; what you inject into life determines what you can eject out of life.

Please understand that the world has zero tolerance for mediocrity; average existence has minimal or no voice. The voice of a failure is not heard; the voice of a poor man is scarcely heard. You are not qualified to coach in a field you have not mastered. To excel in life and destiny, you must exhibit excellence in all that you do.

You shall get there, in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

 

1. Make up your mind to be an excellent person and to be known for excellence. 

2. Look for books or materials relevant to your field that can enhance your mentality for excellent delivery, and study them. If you need to take an extra course or academic study on what you do to be better, go ahead. 

 

 

PRAYER: Lord, I repent of any area I may have displayed mediocrity in time past. Deliver me from every trace of mediocrity or average existence Lord. I receive the impartation of the spirit of excellence to excel in life and destiny O Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

The Word of God refers to divine utterance, message or a collection of utterances and messages from God. The Word of God is the person of God (John 1:1). The Word of God is the compendium of the promises, prophecies, acts, works and wonders of God to His people (Hebrews 2:4-NLT).The Word of God is the manual or guideline for the Christian faith divinely designed for the believer’s effective spiritual walk with God (John 1:14, Hebrews 2:2).

Now, the ingestion of the Word of God is critical to a person’s spiritual worth. The truth is that the devil does not respect the quality of the suit you are putting on or your vocabulary; the devil does not respect your tittle. But he is compelled to respect the intensity of your spirituality through the quality and quantity of your Word-intake (Scripture).

Beloved, you lack spiritual worth if you lack the Word. To be Wordless is to be worthless; to be empty of Word is to be empty in life; low Word equals low life; low Word equals low spirituality, and low spiritual intensity equals low worth in life. 

But today, I prophesy your deliverance from spiritual anorexia. Receive the baptism of fresh hunger and appetite for the Word of God, in Jesus’ Name.

Sometime ago, I heard the story of some rebellious children who wanted to drive somewhere, perhaps for revelry or for some aimless and reckless socialization. Their mother said to them, ‘Children, may the Lord go with you.’ And one of them replied, ‘mother, there is no space for God in the car anymore, we have occupied all the seats, maybe God can find a space in the car boot.’ What a reckless and blasphemous utterance!

Shortly after they moved, they had a fatal accident that claimed all their lives. But surprisingly, the car boot where God was meant to occupy, according to them, was unscratched including the crates of eggs that were there, none of the eggs was broken by the impact of the crash. Incredible!

Beloved, whatever pushes you against God, church or a genuine servant of God is a setup for damnation. Nothing finishes a person fast like the lack of fear or reverence for God (Proverbs 10:26).It is the bankruptcy of the fear of God that can make a pastor lie on the altar; it is the scarcity of the fear of God that can make a church worker steal from the offering box; it is the lack of the fear of God that can make a believer dupe another believer in the name of doing business; it is the bankruptcy of that fear for God that makes a person leave church at the end of service and proceed to an alcoholic centre or pub to drink himself to stupor. It is the lack of reverence for God that makes a person to proceed to the house of a man or a woman to commit immorality even after Sunday service.

Please, never take God’s mercy for granted so you don’t end up grounded in life and wasted for eternity. 

But you shall make it, in Jesus’ Name. 

 

REMEMBER THIS: Never take God for granted so you don’t end up grounded in life.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Avoid people that derive pleasure in talking against God, church or genuine servants of God. 

2. Be a true Christian; be real. Don’t be fake; be authentic.

3. Confess and turn from any life of sin or rebellion

 

PRAYER: Lord, I disconnect from any association aimed at destroying my life on the platform of the lack of fear of You. Deliver me from every rebellious lifestyle. Help me to be a Christian in words, appearance and deed O Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

It is confirmed that audacity is key to achievement in life. You can attain any height in life if you believe you can. This is very true!

 

For instance, Peter ordinarily would not have dared walking on water if he did not see Jesus do it. And if he did not believe he could walk on the same water after the command of Jesus, he would not have possibly attempted it (Matthew 14:28-29).

 

The truth is, you can rise above any situation of life if you believe you can. You can become anything you desire to become if you believe – that big project, that dream or plan in your heart that looks too big to be actualized can be achieved in this year 2020 if you can believe the possibility without entertaining a doubt in your heart. 

Now, some people think that Peter walked on water whereas he actually walked on the Word “C-O-M-E” that Jesus spoke (Mathew 14:29). That Word, “C-O-M-E” crystalized and became a carpet on the water for Peter to walk on.

Hallelujah!

This means that if you can locate the relevant Word concerning that situation, you can walk on it just like Peter walked on water. With the revealed Word of God you can walk on anything that is trying to walk on you. You can walk on bareness, cancer, tuberculosis, peptic ulcer disease, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, failure, poverty, frustration, chronic singleness, etc. The Word of God is, therefore, the basis for human possibilities. 

Today, I release on you the grace to locate the right Word and the power to dare what others dread; the grace to conquer your confrontations comes upon you now, in Jesus’ Name. YES, YOU CAN DO IT…

Sometime ago, I travelled to the place of my birth and saw the building that was celebrated around the 1970s as the best building in that community. But I became amazed because the building has now become an eyesore. Imagine that! What was celebrated yesterday is being tolerated today. The truth is, if you do not want your life to degenerate,then upgrade your life.

 

Someone once said “the largest room in the world is the room for improvement.”

 

In this New Year, determine to upgrade or improve yourself on whatever you do. If you are not updated, you will be out-dated; you need to update to have an upgrade; you need to update your mentality in order to upgrade your destiny. Beloved, at the end of your journey on earth, God is not going to ask you of the number of people you were ahead of; He would ask you of how productive you were compared to the potentials He deposited in you.

Putting God first in your life means to make God the number one priority of your existence on the earth. It is placing kingdom matters ahead of your personal matters. 

So, when God sees a person who is more passionate about His kingdom than personal pursuits, He baptizes such a person with the mantle needed to impact his/her generation (Matthew 6:33).

The reason why many people crash in life is because they lack the God-first mentality; they prefer to put their personal ambitions ahead of Kingdom vision.

Beloved, the question is, in your personal life, who or what comes first? In your career, business or family, who or what comes first? What about your finance? When money enters your hands, what do you do with it first? Do you pay your tithe first or you spend everything, the tithe inclusive? (Malachi 3:10).  And to spend your tithe is to tighten your life; to spend your tithe is to squeeze your life.

Beloved, in this New Year, determine not to tighten or squeeze your life by putting your personal ambitions ahead of Kingdom interests; make God the Centre of your existence. Let your whole life revolve around God. As you do this, I prophesy that this year, 2020 shall be the best year of your life ever, in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, I welcome and congratulate you for making it to the New Year, 2020. What a faithful God we serve! 

This year 2020 is unique in every way. It is the year where there will be speedy manifestation of God’s promises in your life, family and in our nation. Your long awaited miracle will happen this year. By all means, your level is changing in this year 2020, in Jesus’ Name.

From our anchor Scripture, we see that at the age of twenty-nine (29), Jesus had still not commenced his bearing in ministry; it was after His baptism at the age of thirty (30) that He commenced His bearing, and ‘He began to be’ (Luke 3:21-23).

Beloved, your becoming in life is connected to your bearing on earth. Purpose determines pursuit, and pursuit fuels progress. Any life without a definite bearing becomes a burden; life without purpose is pointless. If this year 2020 must not end in regrets, then you must locate your bearing in God and align with the same. What is your purpose or vision in life? In the year 2020, what do you want to achieve for God? Where do you what to find yourself in December 2020 if Christ tarries to come? What impact would you want to make in people’s lives in 2020? It determines whether you will end the year in regrets or in celebration.

In this year 2020, you shall succeed, in Jesus’ Name.

I congratulate you for making it to the last day of 2019 and I appreciate God for sparing and preserving your life. It is possible you are not where you desired to be in 2019 but the truth is that you are not where you used to be. So, instead of assisting your struggling with murmuring, why don’t you appreciate God in celebration on this last day of the year so that your life can appreciate in 2020? In 2019, your expectations may have suffered some delays but your destination cannot be denied. Hallelujah!

 

For Mr. and Mrs. Abraham in Genesis chapter 15:4, 21:2, God promised them a child at the ages of 75 and 65 respectively, but that promise did not come to pass until Abraham became 100 years and his wife 90.

A key is a small piece of shaped metal with incisions cut to fit the wards of a particular lock, which is inserted into a lock and turned to open or close it.

Keys open locks or give access to enclosures. It is a medium of gaining passage or entry into a locked arena. As it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual; access to the possibilities of life is not feasible until the right keys are available. It is critical, therefore, to note that the possession of a key is not enough but the possession of the right key.

So, what are the keys to preservation; what do you do to enjoy Divine preservation?

 

1. Establishment in Righteousness

Be established in righteousness. If you are not in the path of wrong, you cannot be in the way of harm (1 Peter 3:13). Righteousness is a preserver.

2. Refusal to Entertain Fear

Refuse to fear. Do everything you can to give no place to the devil through fear. Faith brings preservation while fear facilitates destruction. (Job 3:25).  

3. Condemnation of the Voices of Confrontation

Condemn the voices of confrontation. It is your responsibility to condemn every voice of destruction against you (Isaiah 54:17).

4. Understanding your Heritage of Divine Preservation

Understand your heritage of Divine preservation. Understand that you are not an easily waste-able material (Psalms 49:12, 20).

5. Commitment to Kingdom Service

Be committed to Kingdom Service. Divine Preservation is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Exodus 23:15).

 

I decree to you, from today, you shall never lack Divine preservation; you are shielded in this ‘EMBER’ month and season, in Jesus’ Name.

It has been said that ‘Life does not give you what you deserve but what you demand.’ And many times, in demanding for your right, the application of force is a necessity. So, if possessing your possession is your desire, you must deliberately and aggressively decide to take it.

 

The truth is, to move, you must rise; to take your place, you must decide to rise.  There can be no concrete advancement in life without a deliberate and aggressive determination. One of the major strategies of the enemy is to confine the people of God to a state of inaction. The devil desires that children of God exist in timidity and cowardice. But you must refuse to be resisted and confronted into lethargy and stagnation.

 

Never let any confrontation of the enemy stop your acceleration in life. Never let the enemy determine how you are to live your life. Despite the challenges and the battles of your life, arise and take your possession in God. 

 

In case the devil has confined you to a sitting position, turned you into a timid person, a shadow of yourself, today, the ‘lion’ inside of you shall roar out; the person in you shall come out; the real you shall emerge and you shall fulfill your destiny in Jesus’ Name.

The question one may like to ask is: what is Christmas?

 

Christmas is the annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ by His followers called Christians all over the world.

 

The Scripture makes it clear in the Book of Matthew Chapters 1 and 2 that the birth of our Master Jesus, the Saviour of the world, was not a normal birth; it defied and bypassed natural orders and protocols (Mathew 1:1-18).

Without much ado, let us x-ray some of the mysteries that surrounded the birth of Jesus Christ.

1. The mystery of unnatural conception: This is a conception that happened without the meeting of a man and a woman (Mathew 1:18).

2. The mystery of incarnation: This is not reincarnation but incarnation. It is the mystery of God becoming man (John 1:14).

4. The birth of Christ was the mystery that changed the order of history and the arrangement of calendar. Everything that happened before Christ was born was dated B.C and everything that happened subsequently is dated A.D.

5. The mystery day of Jesus’ birth had great impact on nature and creation.  It was the star that announced and recorded His birth (Mathew 2:2).

Christmas, the birth of Jesus has, therefore, come to break every natural and unnatural barrier to the fulfillment of God’s purpose and agenda for your life. 

On this special day, I prophesy to you the impartation of all that the birth of Jesus carries. The end of every frustrating situation in your life has come, in Jesus’ Name.

Freedom is the state of being unrestricted and able to move freely. It is also the state of liberation from confinement, captivity or bondage. 

Know this: Freedom is key to motion; your acceleration is connected to your liberation; liberty determines audacity; liberty fuels authority; freedom is key to stardom; on the other hand, to exist in captivity is to be buried in timidity; captivity is the enemy of opportunity.

 

So, you must refuse to be confined to a spot. Resist aggressively whatever wants to deny you freedom because the loss of freedom is the reason for motionlessness in life.

Now, what must you do to experience freedom?

1. Avoid iniquity or Sin (Psalm 24:3-4) - Iniquity is the enemy of liberty; destruction is the destiny of the transgressor. Sin is a weight and weight is the enemy of speed.

2. Access revelation from the Scripture (John 8:32) - Truth sponsors freedom. To know the truth (the Word) is to be set free.

3. Connect with the prophetic mantle (Hosea 12:13) - Prophets are instruments for the termination of captivity. With your prophet lies your profit of freedom from captivity.

Today, by the prophetic mantle on my life, I decree your total freedom from every form of captivity that has hitherto limited your motion in life, in Jesus’ Name.

Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment. Wisdom is knowing what to do and doing what you know.

Wisdom is a vital key for the preservation of life and destiny. That is to say, if you know what to do and do what you know, your preservation would be guaranteed.

In Hosea chapter four verse six, God seems to be saying, ‘The destruction of my people is not because of the powerfulness of the devil but because of their lack of wisdom’ (Hosea 4:6a).

Samson’s destruction came speedily on the frequency of wisdom bankruptcy. What level of foolishness can besiege a person so much that someone desperately wanted to kill him and he was not aware; rather he assisted the person to terminate his own life. Samson gave Delilah the key to his own destruction. That was like ‘Delilah, this is what to do if you want to kill me.’ Unbelievable! The surprising thing was that each time he lied to Delilah on how he could be killed by the Philistines, they attacked him in that manner, yet he couldn’t read the handwriting on the wall. Shouldn’t his brain have told him that Delilah was helping the Philistines to destroy him? (Judges 16:4-21).

Beloved, nothing exposes a man to danger like foolishness; to be wise-less is to be defenseless. Your preservation is at the mercy of your wisdom; the shortage of sense can cut life short.

Today, I prophesy your freedom from every form of foolishness targeted at ruining your life and destiny in this season, in Jesus’ Name.

Instruction simply means detailed information on how something should be done. 

It is instruction that prevents destruction and eliminates failure in life and destiny. At times, people fail examination not necessarily because they did not know the answer but because they did not follow the examination’s instructions. In the same manner, many people have died for the failure to obey an instruction or direction.

Obedience to Divine instruction has the potency of delivering a person from aimless existence and untimely death. Jesus wouldn’t have been alive to fulfill His ministry or destiny if Joseph had negotiated the instruction with the angel to run with Baby Jesus and his mother from Herod to Egypt (Mathew 2:13). Also, Pharaoh would have killed Moses had Moses not obeyed the leading to flee from Egypt at that particular point in time (Exodus 2:15).

Beloved, it is instruction that averts destruction; your longevity is connected to your obedience of instruction. It is not the knowing of instruction that produces result but the obedience of it.

The truth is, if you cannot be instructed, you cannot be assisted; if you cannot be instructed, you cannot be protected.

Today, I prophesy on you the grace to obey instructions that would defend and protect you from disaster, in Jesus’ Name.

Demolition is the act of pulling down, destroying or leveling buildings or structures beyond recovery.

It is clear from our anchor Scripture that the world and everything in it will one day be dissolved or demolished.

In our world today, there is so much degeneration, corruption and wickedness which points to the fact that the world will soon come to an end (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

The truth is, the demolition of a generation is connected to the degeneration of that generation. Nothing wipes a generation like transgression (Genesis 6:5-7).

When Sodom and Gomorrah embraced vanity, they could not escape calamity (Genesis 19:12-13). The curses of Balaam could not work against the children of Israel, but the moment they accepted immorality, they inherited tragedy (Numbers 25:1-9). Achan stole of the accursed things and his generation was demolished because of it (Joshua 7:18-26). What about Gehazi? None of his relatives or descendants saw him when he collected the gifts Naaman brought that Elisha rejected, yet his entire generation courted the plague of leprosy (1 Kings 5:21-27).

Beloved, the disaster of compromise is heavier than its ‘dividends.’ But righteousness is a preserver. In the face of the demolition of the world and its system, if you can stand with God in holiness and uprightness, you will be sailing while the world is sinking.

Today, I prophesy that your case is different, in Jesus’ Name.

Victory is the state of having won a competition or battle or succeeded in an effort. It is the act of being triumphant over the enemy or the challenges of life. 

 

People don’t fight to lose; people fight in order to be victorious. The success of every game or competition is the reason for such game or the competition.

 

From our anchor Scripture above, it is critical to note that God with a man equals victory over the enemy (Psalms 118:7). When an antelope has the backing of a lion, it can confront an elephant without fear. In the same manner, when you have the backing of God, you can humiliate any devil and conquer any confrontation of life.

 

Understand this: Who surrounds you determines what you can surmount; who covers you determines what you can conquer, and who backs you determines what you can sack.

 

Beloved, you may be faced with the battle of family or generational limitation, witchcraft altars, barrenness, chronic poverty, envy, strife, near success syndrome, depression, stagnation, satanic inflicted affliction of the body, the spell of disfavour and uselessness, etc. But for as long as you completely rely on God, and make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, winning is automatic, triumphing is mandatory and victory is sure.

 

Today, I prophesy to you, you are coming out victorious from any current battle of your life. Your victory in life is sure, in Jesus’ Name.

Devotion is the feeling of strong and fervent affection for or dedication to someone or something. Devotion is a brutal commitment to someone or something.

Devotion to God, therefore, is a strong affection for and dedication to God. Devotion to God is indispensable if disaster in these harsh and terrible times must be avoided.  Nothing secures a life like commitment to God and his kingdom. As a matter of fact, your commitment to God determines His commitment to you; your devotion to God determines your duration in life; to be sold out to God is to be shielded by God. (Daniel 3:28).

Know this: Your protection in life is determined by the quality of your devotion and the value you place on God.

Beloved, living your life independent of God is a set-up for calamity. It was Saint Augustine of the Catholic Church who once said, ‘Oh God, You formed us for Yourself, and our lives can have no rest until we rest it in You.’

To wake up in the morning, go about your daily activities without recourse to the Owner of life is tragedy waiting to happen. It is progress with God that is progress indeed; every step away from God is a step closer to disaster.

Today, I decree that as you determine to be more dedicated to God, every trap the enemy set for you in this ‘EMBER’ month shall not catch you, in Jesus’ Name.

One day, during my days in the university as a student, we were in a meeting and one small girl rose up against me and said, ‘who do you think you are? Are you the only one who can preach? Are you the only one who thinks God can speak to?’ I was so amazed! But I did not say a word in response. Just five weeks later, I heard she was sick, vomited and died. I did not pray any prayer against her, not in the secret nor in the open.

It is curiosity that would make a goat to go to the hyena’s house to greet it.  If a mad man places his hands on a naked electric cable, does anyone need to pray for him to be electrocuted?

Beloved, when the wicked is doomed to crash, he recklessly looks for the trouble of the righteous. When it is time for the wicked to be deleted from the land of the living, he looks for the trouble of the child of God. 

Today, I decree that any wicked man or woman who has vowed that you should not live, if they fail to repent, destruction and death shall be their portion, in Jesus’ Name.

Life on earth is transient however long it lasts. There is an appointed end to the brief episode of time called lifetime on earth. That is why one of the greatest achievements of anyone on earth is to come to the end of his or her Life and be ready to depart the earth without regrets. 

As a young medical doctor, I came across several persons that at the point of exit from life were not ready to depart. 

It was Bishop T. D. Jakes who told the story of his father who was diagnosed of a terminal disease. As life was ebbing out of him, he told his son: “Son, all these years, I have been trying to figure out what life is all about; now that I thought I have known what life is, there is no time to live the life anymore.” Pathetic!

The fact is: You do not have eternity to fulfill destiny. The matter of eternity is a matter of prime importance and urgency. Many people squandered their lives on vanity, and realized that when it was time to really live, there was no time to live again.

Beloved, departing this life with minimal regrets is one of the greatest achievements of life.

The questions you should consistently ask yourself are: am I ready for eternity? The way I am living my life now, is Christ pleased with me? If the trumpet should sound now, where would be my eternal destination? Is it eternity in heaven with God or eternity in hell with the devil? Think about it!

 

REMEMBER THIS: Departing this life with minimal regrets is one of the greatest achievements of life; the matter of eternity is a matter of urgency.

2. Take a sober reflection on your life. What are those habits that can hinder you from seeing God on the last day?

Going by our anchor Scripture above, God seems to be saying, ‘I did not create the blacksmith to manufacture instruments that would destroy you. The blacksmith can manufacture knife for yam but he has not been licensed to manufacture any weapon against you’.

The meaning is: the one who can manufacture a weapon to waste your life has not been created; the one who can manufacture the disease that would destroy you has not been formed; the Babalawo, mamalawo, boyalawoetc. (witch doctor) who can prepare the charm that will be used to kill you before your time does not exist.

The truth is, God didn’t make you to eliminate you; you were not created by God to be deleted out of life (Jeremiah 29:11).

Even if you mistakenly drink a deadly substance given to you by any demonic agent in human form, for as long as God didn’t create you for the devil to finish you, that poison would become water in your system, but it will be transferred into the system of the sender by some supernatural maneuverings. Hallelujah!

I decree to you that no equipment or tool that can finish you will ever be formed.  And any one that has been formed and targeted at you is confirmed useless, powerless and harmless, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your choices determine your chances in life; life is without direction when it is without quality decision.

 

Choice is an act of choosing between two or more possibilities. It is the act of making decisions amidst a given set of alternatives.

It is established that one of the most powerful forces on earth is the force of choice. Your choices determine your chances in life. People make choices and choices make people, but until you make a choice, your choice cannot make you.

Look at this analogy: a Medical Doctor who is the Medical Director of a teaching hospital today made the decision to study Medicine at the medical school probably some twenty-five years ago, therefore, that choice he made to study Medicine twenty-five years ago is the reason why he could become a Medical Director today.  So also, the choice a person made some fifteen years ago to sit at home while others went to work or school is the reason why he is a pauper today.

Thus, it is safe to conclude that we are all products of our choices to a reasonable degree. Our choices of yesterday are responsible for where we are today and our choices of today will be liable for where we will find ourselves tomorrow. Life is without direction when it is without quality decision.

My counsel is, always back your decisions with brutal intercessions and actions because decision without action, equals stagnation and frustration. 

But that shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Prophetic impartation is the transference of spiritual virtues from a vessel with higher concentration to a vessel of less concentration through the administration of the Power, Principles and Presence of God without diminishing or reduction in quality and quantity of the former. (Luke 8:46).

Genuine Pastors, spiritual fathers and prophets are the channels of Divine prophetic impartation (Numbers 6:23). This is why a man without a pastor is a man without pasture; a man without a father is a man without a ladder; a man without a prophet is a man without profit.

So, a genuine man of God has the capacity to pull out greatness that has hitherto been locked up or that did not exist before in the life of a person. He can bring out some-entities out of nonentities. It is like Moses hitting the rock and water gushing out (Numbers 20:11).

Now, what are the keys to maximizing prophetic impartation?

1. Value for God and His prophet. (2 Chronicles 20:20)

Your sense of value determines the flow of virtue in your direction.

2. Hunger and desperation. (Psalms 81:10)

Nothing guarantees impartation like hunger and desperation for impartation.

3. Connecting via prophetic seed. (Genesis 27:25). Your seed is a link to your blessing. 

Today, by the prophetic mantle of God on my life, and by my spiritual jurisdiction, I prophesy to you, greatness is coming out of you. Every spiritual impartation you have been hungrily desperate for shall manifest in your life today, in Jesus’ Name.

1. Maybe you do not have a definite pastor or prophet over your life yet, ask God to give you one.

According to Oxford English Dictionary, excellence is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good. 

It has been confirmed that excellence is key to eminence and prominence. To escape mediocrity or average existence, you must embrace excellence. Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny. It is your passion for excellence that determines your impact in life. You cannot do things shabbily and expect to make any meaningful mark in your generation.

Excellence magnetizes prominence and attracts eminence. That facilitates the making of impact.

Daniel was not a Babylonian by citizenship, yet he rose to greatness on the platform of excellence.

Beloved, whatever you do, ensure you give it your best. A particular thing may be good enough but I have realized that being good enough is never enough. It is being better than the best that is good enough. Make up your mind to do things with excellence.

One of my principles in life is, whatever will not be done excellently must be left totally. Average input can never produce an excellent outcome. It is input that determines outcome; what you inject into life determines what you eject out of life.

Fasting is the willing and voluntary abstinence from or reduction in some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time. 

Fasting as a spiritual act is targeted at putting the flesh under control in order to increase spiritual sensitivity and intensity. To have a lasting result, you must have a fasting schedule; anyone who cannot fast, cannot last. The lack of fasting is a reason for the abortion of great destinies. Inefficiency in fasting results in the deficiency of potentials and gifting.

The truth is, those who feast while others fast may fall while others fly. And those who are feasting and playing while others are fasting and praying cannot have their impacts stand the test of time.

You have not done anything about your destiny until you have done something about your fasting life. Do not only fast because of a challenge; fast in order to maintain spiritual fire and intensity.

To fast only when there is a problem is an emergency management approach; it is anti-spirituality. It is habitual fasting that makes a person to be equal to any spiritual emergency any day and anytime.

Beloved, whatever fights your ability to fast, fights your destiny, and you must fight it brutally if you must make a lasting impact on earth.

Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. It is the readiness to show appreciation in return for kindness received. Greatness on the other hand is the quality of being great, eminent or prominent in size, quality or achievement. Greatness implies importance and fame, power or success. 

There is an undeniable connection between gratitude and greatness. Gratitude is a provoker of greatness. Anywhere you see gratitude, greatness will manifest automatically. On the other hand, ingratitude is a diminishing factor and an eternal enemy of greatness. That is why it is only great fools that are never grateful.

The truth is, those who murmur never see more and to complain is to call pain. Gratitude is the character of the great. It is not possible for someone to be genuinely grateful to God and end small in life.

Gratitude focuses on who God is and what He means to us. If we wait for what God will do before we can be grateful to Him, we wait too long.

 Gratitude and grumbling are diametrically opposed; the choice for gratitude is the choice against grumbling.  Gratitude is the high way to great altitude in life. It is not possible to be grateful and be grounded in life. The garment of praise is a cure for littleness in life.

The Blessing of God is behind the making of notable men and women, both in scriptural and contemporary times. Blessed people are eminent and prominent people in their generation. 

But it is one thing to be blessed, and another thing to become a blessing. Being blessed is not enough, becoming a channel of blessing to others is far more important. Existing as a blessing involves the act of contributing positively to the lives of others. It is living to ameliorate people’s challenges or burdens. It is a life that adds value to other people’s lives. It is a point where a sad person starts smiling because of you; a hopeless person becomes hopeful, a homeless person becomes sheltered, a nobody becomes a somebody, a nonentity becomes a celebrity, all because of you.

Beloved, the essence of God’s blessing in your life is for you to become a blessing to other people. (2 Kings 4:5-6). 

God does not bless stagnant ponds but flowing rivers. God does not bless containers but channels; any water that does not flow must stink. Everyone is blessed to the capacity of their willingness to bless their generation. On this Blessing Sunday, I prophesy to you the Blessing of the Lord that would swallow any curse upon your life, in Jesus’ Name. You are blessed! (Numbers 6:23-27)

Preservation in this context connotes exemption and protection from danger and harm. So, when God guards, protects and exempts His children from danger and harm, it is called Divine preservation or Supernatural preservation.

The truth is, God is a specialist in the preservation of His children. The Most High God is interested in the welfare of His people. To be called by God is to be preserved by Him. The Caller is also the Preserver.

Now, what are the keys to Divine Preservation? 

1. Upright Living: To be upright is to end right up – far above the reach of the enemy. Righteousness takes you to the realm that is beyond the reach of harm. (Isaiah 33:15-16).

2. Dwelling in God’s Presence: The secret place of God is the safest place for a man’s life. (Psalms 91:1)

3. Kingdom Assignment: You cannot carry out an ambassadorial assignment and not have diplomatic immunity. In the same manner, you cannot carry out Kingdom assignment and not have Divine (heavenlimatic) immunity.  To serve God is to be saved by God. To serve God is to be safe in life. (Exodus 23:25)

I prophesy to you in these ‘…mber’ months; God shall preserve you and your loved ones against every satanic wickedness and onslaught, in Jesus’ Name.

From our anchor Scripture, we can deduce that as soon as Reuben had a carnal knowledge of his father’s wife, he lost his covenant destiny. This shows us clearly that there is an undeniable connection between a person’s nature and his future.

Get this: Your character is the greatest determinant of your destiny. Who you are determines what you can become. The strength of your destiny is anchored on the strength of your character. What differentiates people’s destinies is not their money but their manners; we can have the same destiny if we have the same manners. To matter in life you must be a person of quality manners. Your manners determine your making; your nature determines your future and your habit determines your habitat.

Beloved, your character is an expression of who you are. To succeed in life, you must first of all succeed in character. If the devil attempts to abort your destiny, he begins to tempt you to compromise in character.

Today, I prophesy upon your life the grace for a solid character that will guarantee the security of your destiny in Jesus’ Name.
