let me do you a little favour by educating your ignorance self, first of all Calabar is the first Capital of Nigeria, though there were time in history where British had their administrative from Lokoja but the city of Calabar is seen as the first Niger coast protectorate until the late nineteenth century making Calabar the first official capital of Nigeria.
Secondly you sounded as a retard mentioning Niger Delta oil money as if Ondo state is not producing oil in commercial quantity, the oil money only Yoruba people are producing is far more than any ethic group in Nigeria. The South south has more than 6 ethnic groups that produces 80% of oil revenue only Ondo state producing more than 16% of the oil revenue, so if you divide 80% amongst the ethnic groups within SS region only Yoruba is contributing more in terms of oil money, so Yoruba had more in the construction of the 3rd mainland bridge with the revenue generated from Yorubaland. If not the stupid fraudulent system of government we Practice here in Nigeria where Federal government will take all the money generated from Yorubaland down to Abuja and start sharing it back to the states which they got it from in form of allocation. What only Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun states generates alone is enough to transform the whole Yoruba nation better that England, but what do we have, Federal government collect the money generated from Yoruba ports in Lagos, taxes collected from big companies in Ogun states, money generated from the gold mining in Osun state and money generated from the oil in Ondo take it all to Abuja then give us back peanut in form of allocation. It only this shithole Nigeria that Practice this system of money allocation.
For you to know, taxing runs a nation and natural resources is a bonus. As Nigeria stands Yorubas is contributing more than what's we are getting back. Yoruba land is the economic backbone of Nigeria and not the oil money from the south south.
Lastly Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo,Oyo,Ekiti, part of Kwara and part of Koji is Yoruba homeland and our world and we intend to make it better and hand it over to our children's generations and the ones yet unborn.

Can I ask why the Niger Delta region is receiving that much allocation from the FG? Because of their oil right? That means they are privileged because of their natural resources.

The British made Lagos the capital during the 1914s period because of Lagos waters which is also a resources. Do you even know lagos port was built as far back as 1913 even before the amalgamation of Nigeria protectorate?

There are lot of countries in the world that are privileged because of the resources they have. Dubai, Oman, Qatar, etc. so why should lagos waters be any different?

Ibadan was actually the best city bar Lagos in Nigeria before the death of the regional government. It was a growing city with many firsts among firsts before the military fools truncated the system.

Even till now, Ogun state still boast of lot of industries and a revenue base that is the envy of most states in the SE. if you like say it’s because of its close proximity to Lagos, it dosen’t stop the fact that Ogun is a better state than most states in your region. Also note that Ogun state strategic location is also a resources on its own.

Even till now, Oyo state still boast of many companies with an IGR that will be more than like 3 or 4 of the states in the SE. What does that tell you? It tells you that the Yoruba people are actually excelling and those states you mention are developing at their own pace.

The take home from this is that the Lagos waters and strategic location is actually a resources on its own. That is what made the British site the capital there in the first place!

lol your right

Yes you’re right about Ahmadu Bello statement. I think it has to do with semantics, what I’m actually trying to say with that post is that both Awolowo and Ahmadu tried letting the world know that we must recognize our differences.

Yorubas supporting Akintola? Haba bro what are you saying in a public forum. Most Yorubas during that era see Akintola as a Yoruba sellout and a northern stooge which explains why people don’t protest too much when he was dropped in the military coup.

Awolowo was loved in his life and even in his death. Tbh Akintola has been forgotten from the media space and not much people can actually pinpoint Akintola contribution to the success of the Yorubas.

Statistically, I don’t think I’ve seen even 0.5% of any post referencing Akintola in the media space or any governor of the SW talking about his ideology. That shows you Awo is greater than him in a million fold!

Infact out of all the founding fathers
Awolowo still remains the one to beat

Bro no need of trying to be politically correct. If we conduct a credible poll now we will see that majority of Igbos actually desire a breakup from Nigeria.

The reason why most of you migrate to other region is not only because you love one Nigeria, it’s because of your land size and your population and the third populous ethnic group.

Also, your land is not that good for investment and you need a larger and profitable market. Which explains why your most successful people are living outside your region.

Well even if it’s restructuring the Igbos want most, then they gotta let people know coz a neutral person will actually call you a liar for echoing the thought of restructuring as Igbos goals.

Moreso, I think that world restructuring was actually pioneered by the Yorubas especially the Afeniferes. I might be wrong tho (I can research this more for its validity).

They are only getting that secession if they are in power
Under GEJ all of them suspended Biafra agitation immediately he was fired they started wanting it again lol

Your explanation for their migration is very apt

Again, you are twisting history. Awolowo said Nigeria is a mere geographical expression but Amadu never said that rather he said Nigeria is an estate of their grandfather Usman Dan Fodio so they have the right to use it as they please. You keep celebrating Awolowo but while he was alive, Yorubas were supporting Akintola. We always celebrate people when they are dead just like how Fela is being celebrated. I was well aware when Fela was alive, he never had this eulogizing

Give the Yoruba's some accolades. They tried.

Capital or not Lagos is strategically located,

Imagine being the state with the gateway to Nigeria by land air sea all combined. Africa's largest market.

Unlike the Niger Delta states who had everything at a platter if gold but threw both the baby and bath water away.

Niger delta forcefully chased away IOC's from there region, after chasing them to Lagos they are here ranting up and down that the IOC's must sight there headquarters here. Look at what happened at Omoku, crisis drove away business, companies etc away, same thing happened at Ogoni now Etche.

Give Lagos(+Yoruba land) to the Niger delta and give Niger Delta to the Yoruba's.

10years later crisis and insecurity would chase out investments. And they would start blaming from Tinubu to Igbo people to Hausa to America.

Yoruba people una try abeg

Thank you

Read the story of your father lol

Whenever Gazali Akewadola, 60, opens his mouth to speak about his trade, he makes one’s heart to quake. The gangly elderly man could be mistaken for a God-fearing grandfather. But his true colour came to the fore last week, when he was arrested by the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command. He gave a bone-chilling confession of his involvement in human sacrifice, cannibalism and murder.

Akewadola and two of his accomplices, Kazeem Sanni (25) and Alfa Taofeek (35) are among members of a dreaded eight-man gang of ritual murderers and human part sellers who nea\rly walked into police net May. Akewadola, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the evil trade and two others, escaped arrest until last week.

“Most of the human parts I bought were sold to me by this boy,” Akewadola said pointing fingers at Sanni. He continued: “He used to sell one head for N3, 000, depending on the market price because at times, he used to sell for N8, 000 per head. The soft bones that can easily be ground into powder are very cheap and I pay as little as N1, 000 for them.”

Akewadola, a well-respected Islamic scholar in Folahan Village, Owode Yewa, Ogun State, also practised as a native doctor with specialisation in using human parts to prepare ‘get rich quick’ medicines.

Recently, he upgraded his trade from buying human parts to kidnapping humans, slaughtering them and using parts of their bodies for rituals.

“It is cheaper to buy a living human being. You get a lot of costly parts from it and it is more powerful because the efficacy of the charm or concoction you prepare with life parts cannot be compared with the ones you prepare with dead ones,” the scholar said remorselessly.

He further confessed: “For instance, the full human being will give you blood when you kill him; the same body will give you hairs from private parts, head and some beards or mustache. You can also cut out private parts. Each part of human being is useful. Even the meat, intestines, liver, heart, eyes, lips and tongues can be used for pepper soup. If you buy a full human being for N30, 000 or N40, 000 and cut it, you can end up getting N100, 000 or more because you get more than ten parts that can yield good money.”

Akewadola added that any human part, when eaten with wine or beer, is sweet and has healing powers. It can also make one get rich quick. But despite the devilish gusto with which he recounted his crimes, Akewadola would not touch any of his “eight lovely children” or relatives
