Firstly, from op's statement it is obvious that his girlfriend has gotten too attached to the other guy, it is nt about preventing her from having friends or doing what she likes but sincerely, some ladies don't know how to draw boundary in the friendship with their male friend even when it's affecting their partner. Take it or leave it men are known for taking control of their territory, no man will allow another man to have more say over his partner than him.

Muslim leaders need to call their followers to order, although Muslims in the south will not harm you for eating during Ramadan period but they will surely castigate you for eating in their presence while most hausa Muslims are just too violent, they don't value human life.
