Tnx mama Onegai I really appreciate it go cough and sneeze am out by fire by force. God bless you all
Liftedhands:
No be small cough out! The cost pinch me each time I have to pay for it but it's a worthy price to pay for our babies well-being.

Even though many mums still feel it's not necessary me I no fit take that chance o.

Added benefit is my babys teething was hassle free just woke up each time to see white caps emerging with no fuss or illness.

soonest:
They are not free in govt hospitals.

@mummide, the cord must be very thick. Pls keep it dry. By now it should be drying up little by little.
My MIL says she puts powder for more drying effect though I have never tried it.

HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Adeime: 10:49pm On Sep 11, 2016
Hello Mamas I saw this on IG and thought to share with you

HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Adeime: 10:46pm On Sep 11, 2016
I can testify to this I was initially reluctant to try d breastmilk and was given chloramphenicol in the hospital but after finishing it d discharge was still there. 6 weeks later I was given an ointment to rub directly into baby's eyes in the hospital but I couldn't take that risk n so I started researching then I read about using breastmilk 6 times daily . I only used it about 5 times which were immediately I finish feeding him and it cleared under 1 day

Amhappy:
My baby's eyes is itching her. She makes a fist to scratch. Also there is yellow discharge,my mum said dropping breast milk in the eyes will cure it but I'm not sure this is working. Any ideas? The eye is not red, just white

Thanks AlphaHandMaiden God bless you......dunno what this thread will be like without people like you
AlphaHandMaiden:
You need ro use any brand of fomular . As he is still below 6 months i would suggest you youse the one from birt to 6 months usually indicated with 1

After 6 months, use follow-on milk , usually indicated with a 2

I would have also said breastmilk, but i dont think it works well with pap. Lilkely to make it too runny!
HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Adeime: 5:30am On Sep 06, 2016
Onegai pls pardon my question what brand of milk can be added to.the pap for a baby at 4-6 months.Tnx a million for this information
Onegai:
For about to wean mums, here is a good chart showing what can be given. By the way, If you are giving pap, add milk and crayfish to it. Pap is calorie-dense but poor nutritionally (I checked there are studies done by Nigerian doctors and published online about pap). From 8 months you can start adding spices like Nutmeg and Cinammon to their food. But no honey till after 12 months, Botulism is real. They sell almost all of those fruits and foods in Nigeria, including tofu (I know you can get some in Freedom Park and it is called Wara in the market). Papaya is Pawpaw (it will encourage stooling in constipated babies). Golden melon and watermelon are great (especially if we have babies refusing to drink water, water melon has 92% water). P

I hope the pics are clear.

HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Adeime: 8:52pm On Sep 05, 2016
Hello mamas I'm interested in the boys I stay in surulere meanwhile please do the books consist of those that sing when you open it.
Cc Onegai
Onegai:
So, concerning the book buy, Kidco has explained everything to me and here is what we discussed:

1. 50 books for N12,000
2. Shipping charges range from N700 to N1500 depending on your location
3. He can mix up the books according to age. So mamas, you can buy books in the age 0-5 years group, 0-3 years group, 6-12 years group, 0-6 years group

Yaba mums (rofemiguwa, rhukie and cutiereborn), your total is N13,000 (12+N1000 shipping). If you can get a 4th person, you will end up paying N3,250 for 12-13 books. That's a good deal. If you agree, pls nominate one person from your group to collect payment and also collect the books from Kidco. May I suggest Rofemiguwa because she is working in Yaba which means her address is probably easiest to find for all of you?
Any other mum want to join Yaba group? And if you are interested, please drop your location and mention me. Thanks.
Here are pictures of the baby books Kidco sent.

Hello fam just tot 2 paste this here

The Securities and Exchange Commission has raised the alarm over the activities of some online fraudsters, who are currently running an online investment scheme tagged ‘MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria’.

The fraudsters, according to SEC, carry out their illegitimate business via Nigeria. portal/platform, and are promising investors a monthly investment return of 30 per cent.

SEC said the venture had no tangible business model, describing it as a Ponzi scheme, where returns would be paid from other people’s invested funds.

Investopedia.com describes a Ponzi scheme as a fraudulent investing scam promising high rates of return with little risk to investors. The scheme generates returns for older investors by acquiring new investors.

SEC on its website, said, “The attention of SEC, Nigeria has been drawn to the activities of an online investment scheme tagged ‘MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria (nigeria.). The platform has embarked on an aggressive online media campaign to lure the investing public to participate in what it called ‘mutual aid financial network’ with a monthly investment return of 30 per cent.

“The commission hereby notifies the investing public that the operation of this investment scheme has no tangible business model hence it’s a Ponzi Scheme, where returns are paid from other people’s invested sum. Also, its operation is not registered by the Commission.”

SEC, therefore, advised the general public to distance themselves from the online scheme, adding, “Please note that anyone that subscribes to this illegal activity does so at their own risk.”. Please ensure your hard earned commissions are securely ré invested in a known and tested biz.

It's normal for babies to lose weight in the first few weeks n then gain weight back again. Bt take him to the hospital and check his weight to be sure n reassured that baby is not underweight (below 2.5kg) + increase ur feeding. Feed on demand.

Hello mamas pls advise; my 2 weeks baby who is on EBF seem to be losing weight as his clothes are loosely fitted please advise if this is normal
HealthRe: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Adeime: 6:59pm On Aug 03, 2016
Mommas please can you recommend any good vitamins I can take as I'm doing EBF
Liftedhands:
If you are doing ebf then it's you that should be on vitamins while baby takes from you, if formula feeding there's absolutely no need cos formula is fortified with vitamins and minerals sufficient for babies.

Heres my short BS with no action packed drama.
However before I start lemme extend my sincere appreciation to everyone on this platform for your contributi
Was married for some months without bfp, my dear it's not an easy to ttc'ing it's not a funny experience men
Had been married to a family where my MIL calls every month to wish me happy 1,2,3..... month anniversary all in a bid to remind you that were waiting for baby
My dear my saving grace was my hubby I remembered when he even put up a pix and he got a comment from his aunt "this ur wife is still pretty tell her my children are waiting 4 baby to play with"
After some months dh did test result came back that he had low sperm count I decided to just do a check k up after d Dr inserted all his fingers inside my vagina he came back that my womb at
I'd never forget the day an aunt came to the house and was shouting that what was I  waiting 4 and she even compared me to her nephew that got married some months sfter us whose wife was already overseas preparing for delivery  , I was so depressed had to tell dh I had some stuff to do at the office just to escape her presence I remembered dh trying to console me while walking me down to take a cab as my office isn't far from my house and he consoled me that why I'm I doubting God that what if I'm even pregnant and what if I don't evemtually isn't he enough for me I smiled and headed to the office
Fast forward to 3 days later dh had to rend me that I'm yet to see my period which was a day late I got d pregnancy test kit again and did d test my dears you won't believe d tears in my eyes when I saw 2 straight lines had to rush down 2 d room to show dh .....I was in awe
THE PREGNANCY
had a blissful pregnancy however after my 2nd scan they diagnosed a condition called polyhydramnios remeber I came to the group to ask read it up online and I saw very scary things like baby cannot breath, baby may have down syndrome very scary stories I told my hubby as he was away to work and as usual he said let's leave it to God how and when we had this baby we didn't  know so I went for antenatal 1st doctor was sympathizing sort of ,in my mind I was like 'God this cannot happen' when I was transferred to the main Dr he just smiled and gave me assurance dt all will be well
DELIVERY
Fast forward to week 38 I was told to do a pelvimetry which and the result came back at week 39  that my pelvis was too small , met Dr on 21st during ante natal and scheduled me for operation 25th which was 3 days b4 my edd 4 days ; my heart skipped I was like is there no other option he said if I force it is may injure baby anyways told him I'd get back to him on my final decision on 23rd; I went home from antenatal with fear and depression couldn't even pick dh call as he was away to work eventually I told him in the evening and he said as usual to leave it to God that if God wants baby to come via VD baby will come b4 d day Dr gave me
We kept praying nothing happened so I went back on 23rd and told him we can proceed but I kept trusting God for VD when we didn't see any hubby tuk tym off wirk and came back home as we had to be in the hospital a night b4
Got to hospital 8:30pm on 24th in tears and fear was admitted and procedure started at 5 am 25th after the nurse did enema for me i had my bath and got into the theatre i remembered an oxygen mask being held over my face and some liquidwas being poured over me while i was shivering out of  fear and d cold in the theatre room ; dh said baby came out some 30mins  later while I was wheeled out 1/2 hrs as I was given a general anesthesia so I wasn't conscious of anything
In all I'm grateful and thankful to God that I came out alive and gave birth to the most handsome boy
Even though I haven't been given food or water as there's still gas in my system since the procedure lo has been latching on my breast as my breast produced  milk 2 days later
I pray that the unchanging God that did this for me will visit all TTC more as He is the same yesterday today and forever more.amen
You shall testify soonest. Amen

My dear just be calm on him my husband was scared to touch me o he'd be lyk when I'm complaining of pains is it kpekus that he'd be thinking lyk he'd say I look fragile sef coupled with d way I turn on d bed he'd be lyk so how is he supposed to hold me.......even when they say kpekus is good for labour my hubby still dey fear so my dear please take it easy on him this pregnancy hormones can get as e be sometimes u won't want to know what I've one to him out of anger but in all tnk God he still helps with chores

mymoneygrows:
Sugarcanebaby, it is well o. sometimes i feel that way o. maybe its the pregnancy hormones lyk our mama just said. I believe after delivery, ur scores will be settled. Last nyt i was so angry with dh, i almost slept in our spare room but mosquito pursue me and i didn't want the stress of fixing d mosquito net. The guy tire me sef. He doesn't want to kpekus even wen im in need, he doesn't hold me in bed even wen im cold, wen the nyt itch starts, he will just rub the ointment on my body and be watching me lyk television, sometimes i feel lyk slapping him. no hugs or kisses except i nag about it. he has stopped all emotional things but buys me anything i need, does the laundry, cooking, cleanup and every other thing. I know i hurt him last nyt cos of my outburst, i told him he is of no use to me. I regret saying that though. so my dear be patient with him, not all men understands wat u are going through.
