Why should "death penalty" bill be passed for hate speech when our problem is corruption? It is corruption that has brought a giant like Nigeria to her knees. "death penalty" bill should be for corrupt public officers.

Politics / Re: Fani-Kayode: I Am Not Yoruba, Fulanis Call South-East Yamiri & South-West Yoruba by ademijuwonlo(f): 11:13am On Oct 22, 2019
Emary:
This has been a very stimulating topic. My biggest take away from this is that the modern day Yorubas are not originally one people but were foistered together by inter-tribal wars and slave trade. Race and tribe remain social constructs ever evolving and none are superior to the other. I'm sure if everyone does DNA testing, we will all find so many different races in our ancestry.

For all those arguing that the name could not have been coined by the Hausa, you are forgetting that there were interactions between both people long before the advent of Islam. It's a pity that there was no written documentation prior to the 15th century but it's not only in Africa that colonialism has muddied our histories. The original inhabitants of America and several countries of the world share the same fate.

So what, if the name was given in ridicule? The most important thing is what it represents today. It would be nice if the Yoruba could shake away the stigma of being deceitful (many still are today) and become a people of integrity and prosperity. That would be a great story to tell.

The inter-tribal war didnt force them together. Ijesha, Ekiti, Oyo, Awori, etc all identified Ile -Ife as their source and said they migrated out of Ife and regarded it as their ancestral home.

It's normal. As people begin to grow and collide with reality as they leave the comfort provided by their parents, it's every man for himself. True friendship doesn't exist; every man is looking out for himself; and friends/relatives will easily throw you under the bus when it benefits them. You might be kind hearted and have helped people but they may betray and treat you like trash with ease when you are in need. It's common because human beings will be human beings. Take heart.

Take my advice, don't keep friends. Only have necessary and useful acquaintances and business partners. Stop having emotional connections with people. In a world filled with ravenous wolves, being too nice is a weakness. grin

Well said!

[sub][/sub] I wanna see a qualified doctor..a specialist.. But its hard when you dont have the means to.

They should do scan for you instead of just poking! I pray God grant you good health.

You can try state hospitals, it is free in some states ...... PLUS they have specialist there.
Health / Re: Constipation: How Do I Treat This Long Term Disease Naturally? Please, Urgent! by ademijuwonlo(f): 9:51pm On Aug 12, 2019
It is better to go to hospital and find that you are okay than staying at home speculating. I don't want you to do self medication/self diagnoses on this, health is wealth. I pray you go see a doctor asap.

Drinking two sachets of pure water is too small for a man, it should be at least 8 sachets per day for a man.

shocked

I used to see Alligator back then at my former site. They are always scared of humans and once sited ,they took to their hills.

I had seen the one that looked like a crocodile before, very big and scary .

This is just the difference between the white and Africa. Over here some people would have started referring to it as Devil, other would kill it, but look at how a developed country with patriotic individuals handled the issue.

There is no Alligator in Nigeria, Alligators can only be found in China and America. what we have in Nigeria is Crocodile.
