HealthRe: NAFDAC Exposes Dangers Of Prolonged Use Of Paracetamol by adeoladrg(m): 1:02pm On Mar 11, 2015
That report isn't scientific enough for an inquisitive mind.

I mean, what is the mechanism by which prolonged use of paracetamol causes all those. In class, we were taught about it's hepatotoxicity and acute pancreatitis.

Does it cause desensitization of some specific receptor? How does it cause ulcer? Any action on prostaglandin?

Let us begin to ask questions and do our proper research instead of relaying research work done by whites. Lazy Nigerians. Lazy NAFDAC.

Why not? While not having to bother about gross anatomy. You can cover your histology well and maybe embryology.

From 200level and above if you fail less than 4 courses at the end of that session you will resit them before the next session resumes.probably during the break. And if you fail any one out of the four while resitting then you will repeat that level. And if you fail any course while repeating the level you will go get another jamb form. huh

Did you miss the part where the report said Mr President was pleading?. Stop fighting a lost or losing battle.

HealthNewsNG gathered that during the meeting,
nothing concrete was agreed upon apart from
promises from the president who reportedly
appealed to JOHESU members to call off the strike.
“He was practically pleading,”

Please tell your goons here in Nigeria to give themselves some respect, forming association with cleaners, tufia!!!!!!
Whether we form an association with road sweepers, it's inconsequential. The reason for the formation of the association supersedes all you think. Now bleep off!

And what makes you think it was doctors that assassinated him? You've not seen where other people take advantage of a misunderstanding between 2 parties to cause havoc, knowing it will be blamed on the other party? It's actually very unlikely that doctors assassinated him.

I have never seen any pharmacist call a doctor, an eediot face to face. No pharmacist does that, cos the respect is simply there. Don't hide behind your keyboard and make sacrilegious statements.
It's sad I can't prove my case. But the murder also deserves an investigation, doesn't it?

Thunder will fire you if you do not quote the post where I said 'doctors cannot prescribe'. You piece of shii
HealthRe: NMA On Assualt/attack Of Doctors At Their Duty Post by adeoladrg(m): 9:36pm On Feb 01, 2015
Lagusta:
Adeola started it by calling us bastards....

In saner countries, a doctor is always the head of a health team, for the simple reason that a patient comes to see no one else....

A pharmacist makes the drugs, makes sure all drugs are up to standard, correct dosages, quality control and assurance, essential drugs formulatory, and the hallmark: RESEARCH!!!

A doctor is well trained in pharmacology; we may not know how drugs are manufactured, but we know basic knowledge of drugs, their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, half-life, solubility, plasma protein binding, routes of administration, appropriate dosages in adults and children, side effects and adverse effects, contraindications and even ongoing research....

It is an insult to say à doctor cannot prescribe drugs...

I don't like tackling pharmacists, they are the ones belittling themselves!!! Forming an association with cleaners...

Maybe you can ask yourselves why you made that silly mistake
Remind me where I said a doctor cannot prescribe pls.

Hehehe comprehensive quotient! Right now I not sure the guy is what he claims he his! I know a lot of pharmacists and they sound a lot smarter!
Many are regretting being in the boat their superiors have dropped them in cos they want to sweeten their pension pots!
But this guy is just funny the way he makes his arguments ( like doctors sent death threats to a pharmacist, a pharm technician cross checks prescriptions and not the pharmacist etc) scare me oh!
I see you've been clamouring for my mention since. I decided to give you one. Oya say thank you!

Now, I've not said the pharmacist doesn't crosscheck prescription. You see your problem is comprehension, that was why I used 'comprehensive' in my other post.

He said I only crosscheck prescription and I said that's the job description of a technician. After compounding and dispensing, their role ends. But pharmacists have expanded roles in the real world, get that into your thick skull! You can read up about 'expanded roles of pharmacists' on Google.

That's while I agree that pharmacy practice isn't where it's supposed to be in Nigeria.

"Comprehensive quotient"! Whats that! Told you you're just a beefing wannabe! Alright google intelligence quotient! Riff-raff! Don't reduce my iq please! Chemist! I only want to discuss with professionals like me!
Who doesn't know what IQ means? One might be intelligent and enter and still not comprehend stuffs. That was what I meant by comprehensive quotient. Now Bleep off!

Yeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

See insult!!!!!

Are you trying to tell me that doctors only work in hospitalshuh

I have a senior registrar that worked for the German embassy, he said he earned an equivalent of 23,500 dollars a month, just to consult at their clinics....

Mind you, he was employed because he is a specialist....

What of other doctors that work in oil companies, multinational conglomerates, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA....

Come to where I work, see the emergency wards, labs and other wards working optimally...

Do we even need pharmacists, there are two giant pharmacies which are eager to sell their drugs at even cheaper prices!!!

Like I said, go and kiss a baboon!!!
Lmaoooooo.. Go and sleep. Your comprehensive quotient is very low! Don't quote me again abeg!

In times like this, someone needs to put the big ben on the fat cat. There's always two sides to a fight or argument. The public has to hear the JOHESU side too, don't you think?

Nah, that's the job description of a pharmacy technician. Instead they have to crosscheck your F'ed up prescription cos you get it wrong from diagnosis which is ur main job. Wrong dosage, inappropriate therapy, interactions and stuffs is what we see everyday. Face your job, no! All you know is fight other health professionals!

Chooooiii, being a hospital pharmacist no good oooo!!! grin

Your mates are abroad, working for gsk, novartis, neimeth and even the USFDA!!!

But you sir, are busy forming an association with cleaners and cooks...

When those ones also claim right to be the president of your "Abe bridge" association, your eyes go pop out pass those tear gas canisters Una dey pop!!!

Go kiss a baboon while you're busy hating and potating!!!!!
I really wish I had the time to exchange words with you. But you see, the fact that we can work in a myriad of practice settings apart from the hospital is our pride as pharmacists.

That's the only reason pharmacists are not suffering from this strike unlike the last NMA strike. And I know this fact must have cause some pain somewhere in you by stimulating some nociceptors! grin

So while your hospital output is poor due to the strike, I'm making good money elsewhere. I'm so sorry, but that's what God gave us!
