I have discovered that certain motor parks in Lagos seem to be optimised for a particular or chain of similar route destinations. Which park do you think is the best to join car/bus/minivan i.e. sienna and the likes to Abuja or up north? |

@ eddy2008 Thumbs up for your post. This has come at the right time in light of the fact that many people do not know how to write a standard cv not to talk of personal branding. but unfortunately, the links to the sample cvs do not open at all. Incidentally I live in Ikeja, how can I meet you personally to see some of your templates? I live on Unity Road (Off Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way). Thanks |
This is a complete waste of money and definitely a misplaced priority. I guess someone was asked to devise a brand new project that is yet to be done in Nigeria at least on that scale, and bam here you go! Watch, how other states will be following suit. The "people" behind this has "hammered" to put it nicely. There are rarely any shortcuts in life. Somehow our leaders think they can magically scale over the endless basic problems that is afflicting our societies to implement projects that brings us up to par with the advanced nations. We are wasting our time as a people until our leaders learn that you can't skip something as basic as building roads. I mean, if you can't even build or maintain ordinary roads what other meaningful project can you implement SUCCESSFULLY? I have not even mentioned power? Nevermind. The question is how do they plan to respond to the nice pictures that are going to be streaming live from all parts of Lagos to this command center? Just sit there and enjoy it? Even if the cameras are solar powered, is the command center solar powered too? What about fuel for the RRS or are their vehicles solar powered too? Do the RRS have their own special roads that they travel on during emergencies or will the emergencies be scheduled? People, its not about ego or knocking anything Nigeria, but there is a reason while humans crawl, walk, and then run in that order. Not sure I know of anyone who went straight from crawling to running! By the way have they recovered that satellite in space yet?

@ fyneguy I personally feel the biggest task facing any Nigerian governor is poverty alleviation (Fashola inclusive). Before he thinks of modernising Lagos State, he should think of how these people would be able to have their meal ticket. Even in all western companies, prioritise health and safety before anything else. Our hospitals are ill-equipped, the roads are as bad, the ghettos all over Lagos need to be cleaned up, the issue of electricity needs to be dealt with as well as clean water. These should come before CCTV. Of course if I were Fashola, I would be more bothered about these things than installing CCTVs and planting flowers all over Lagos. These issues demand urgent attention and a clean environment with good access to basic amenities is conducive and in turn would be help the citizens groom their business properly and in turn, you could afford to feed your family. Public schools are in a mess. Transportation is nothing to write home about. Working for 8hours daily and travelling for 4hours daily, Is it really worth it? I hope Fashola's advisors are not just looking for a quick bonus or is this just a cheap PR stunt?
In America or England, where they have cctvs all over the place? Are people not also hungry in these parts of the world, despite their very sophisticated economies? What you guys are forgetting is that there are ministries and government agencies that handle stuff like that. Their respective allocations can definitely not be transferred to poverty alleviation programs? The ministry for environment for example, i guess is for making the environment better and not economic policies or programs. Flowering the state is definitely one of the ways of carrying out their specialized duty. |
@ Joey82 My firend, na wa o! My own advice for you is to follow your heart, Period. @dakmanzero to your question, one of the reasons must supersede the others, and that will be the only reason why she does not want him. Final |

So what happens to all the prospective students who have already entered one of the various courses into the universities where accreditation was denied. Let's take my sister as a case study, she entered law as her course of choice in the UI, and Law for Unilag as her choice number 2 in this forthcoming JAMB Exams 2006/7. Unilag allegedly does not like to be chosen as a second school of choice (am I right? if not let me know). What can she do about this? Pls she needs help as soon as possible. Let me include that she has already submitted the form |
There is a very clear-cut distinction between fate and destiny. It's just that people find it difficult to understand. Your destiny is in God's hands and your fate is in your hands. Your dsetiny has been pre-detremined by God. Fate is the route you take there and what happens afterwards as a result of your actions. Let me bring forward premises to back my argument. 1. Mr Jack has been destined to be rich - Destiny 2. He worked hard for his riches and dies honourably- Fate 1, or 3. He opted for rituals (blood money) to get rich and dies mysteriously - Fate 2, or 4. He opted for dirty business ranging from stealing to 419ing and was sentenced to death by hanging - Fate 3. From the above premises, it will be noted that God's pre-determined will for him is to be rich which is his destiny( premise 1). It is now left for him to decide which route to take to his richies which brings him fate (premises 2,3, or 4). The aftermath (consequences) of the route to his richies is also his fate. It is his fate because he diecided that for himself. What God does is choose a destiny for you which is to be rich, its now left for you to choose your way to riches and that is your fate. In a nutshell, nferyn understands this better than I do and he has explained it in a simplistic way. What God has pre0-determined for you is your destiny The results of your own action - positive or negative - is your fate. Nobody can change or influence destiny, you can infleunce your fate by your actions. I rest my argument. |
This is yet another typical African school of thought. The only people you cannot marry are your sisters, mother and daugthers. All others are nature's free gift. Go ahead joo. But if you personally think it is not right then put a halt to it. This may be an abomination in the tradition of your family, if so then stop it. My friend if notin dey as obstacle then continue the relationship and I wish you the best of luck. |
Seun where is the "I don't care" option that's been added to the poll? Because that's my own answer and I can't find it. Raised at home or else where is not the point, what matters most is her own personal qualities as a woman and what makes her an ideal wife material. |
The same reason as it has always been..... to curb spendings They Brake up rather than break up to continue after the festive seasons. A treat @ TFC will surely glue back the relationship. That's all. Next december again yet another brake |
Why on earth will anybvody having the nigerian blood running through his veins and atteries ever think of removing the naira sign from any of nigeria's currencies? What will it be repalced with? Dollar sign or Sterling Sign? Gosh, this is irritable |
How much do these Service Providers charge for their GPRServices? I have been wondering. |
