Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by adeyinka09: 6:31pm On Nov 13, 2016

For those asking for the access to the Kaplan Online Practice Test, Here:

Follow the link below:
https://www.kaptest.com/pages/booksonline#gre

The access i have is for the GRE Premier 2016 and GRE Premier 2017. Each of the versions contains about 5 full practice test. I was able to go thru some of the practice tests in the 2016 version but couldnt go through the test in 2017 version due to time constraints.

For GRE Premier 2016, you would be asked the input the last word in a particular chapter of the book when you click on register, the word is text. And for the GRE Premier 2017, the word is response. You would have to sign up with them to have access to these resources.
Hope this helps...

All the best in your best.
Thank you for this, however, av tried every means to access the test but all my effort has proved futile. On the website, I was only allowed to add paid tutorial to my cart while the free practice test login was not found. Can u please delineate how u access the test.

I wont be able to comment on funding because none of us here will have access to department budget so only a current student in that depart might be able to give u some insights..... school 1 and 4 i know off are normal standard school

If not for the Buhari exchange rate that is not smiling, the best would have been if these are ur target school to apply to at least 3 and see who gives u the best funding package. ... maybe the others can be off more help

If u dont get funding then a budget of 500k is not even possible to run any master program . If ur budget quoted is in naira ..... half of 500 will go into one way ticket.....2 way ticket will gulp all that money self. Another half of that will go into sevis, test, visa and all...so u left with like 200k ...that barely even 1000 dollars.

Not possible sir
Thanks for the comment but the money is for sch admission, visa and other payment needed to be made. Just need suggestion on schs with low initial deposit to process visa with job opportunities in form of GA, campus jobs and other as study support.

Hi guys, here is what happened with me: I got the online test notification email on July 7th, the day after it I received two emails about the short listing outcome, one of them stating that I successfully moved forward to the next stage which is online abstract reasoning test (GCATA) and online personality test (Perspectives). The other one was stating that my application was successfully progressed to the next stage of the selection process, which is a detailed assessment of my application.

A week later I took the online tests, and like you all waited for outcome, I checked my profile at scholarship.force.com and I found my application status changed into "declined", I know it was set to "submitted" before I took the test, so I got disappointed and thought it was over.

later on August 5th, I received another mail, stating that my application was successfully progressed to the next stage of the selection process, which is a detailed assessment of my application, the same wording as the one received on July 7th.

I double checked my profile application status, it was changed again to submitted.

Hope this could help clear some confusion, and guys please be optimistic, the application status most probably is not relevant, I had it changed twice into declined then submitted again.
I experienced all u wrote here except the decline status which I recently noticed.i hope that will change soon Jah's willing.

yeah, got a mail on the August 5th saying I've moved to the next stage.
I received mail on the 5th of august that I have moved to the next phase of the selection exercise
I checked my profile on scholarship force.com on the same day and it displayed submitted. Unfortunately, yesterday I check to discover it has been changed to declined. I hereby urge all that received the same message to check their profile on scholarship force.com to know where they belong and update the house. Thanks

You asked me a question?.....OH i'm sorry....My bad angry. mtschewww......Funny how when u are done feeling fly in (mis)informing someone in your bid to show u understand semantics in a language which isn't your mother tongue, you are now here wailing about the role i would play if selected. Please don't make me go all karate on u.

Now my question is, what was the motive behind giving me the meaning of 'revert',(That you even had to detail it down to transcribing the word undecided) instead of answering the damn question?

If you had replied my question, simply, instead of trying to pick freaking faults, i wouldn't.....NEVER WOULD have retorted in this manner. Don't blame me for my response to u, and try to be sure of something before you try to teach someone else.

P.S: i am certain u are no English Major, cuz u should have, or better still, done a simple research, as to varying meanings of 'revert'. #enoughsaidbiko#
Try to control your anger. Just discovered u need to work on that. Just as u z, #enough said# and m sorry. #caseclosed#

(intransitive) To reply. E.g. Please revert by Monday.

I would care less if u are an English Major, but I didn't have to be one to know revert has various other meanings.....Next time u wanna be a douche, try triple checking before opening your mouth.
.....And then again, seeing u have no answer to my question, kindly buzz off. Thank u.
Douche or what. I think I deserve words like admirable, honorable man etcetera. Anyway I'm neither English Major nor Minor rather I asked you a simple question and deserve simple answer not the other way round. Do u realise that u will be interviewed for customer contact position if successful in your written test. How will you handle an irate customer?. Haba!!! exotiqueify please calm down.

LordRegalia:

Depending on the breed, if the dog is still a pup (or under 9 months old) you cannot reasonably expect him to assume the role of a security dog at this stage. It is normal behaviour for most puppies to be overly friendly, even with strangers.
Give the dog time to grow. As he matures, he would become self aware and begin to assume the role for which he was bred. In the meantime, your friend should bond with the dog and learn how to control him as he grows up.
Thanks bro for the wonderful comment. The dog is Alsatian . I'm still open to new idea and suggestions.

Good job bro. The dog is Alsatian. The owner will prefer it to be a guard dog to attack dog. The dog is like 2-3months old now. I will tell him to try your suggestions here . I'm still keenly interested in other training methods. Thanks
Pets / Re: Training Your Dog Made Easy (adults And Puppies) by adeyinka09: 7:50am On May 06, 2016
LeSammy:
TRAINING NO.3
Leave it
This can help keep your dog safe when his curiosity gets the better of him, like if he smells something intriguing but possibly dangerous on the ground! The goal is to teach your pup that he gets something even better for ignoring the other item.
1. Place a treat in both hands.Show him one enclosed fist with the treat inside, and say, “Leave it.”Let him lick, sniff, mouth, paw, and bark to try to get it — and ignore the behaviors. Once he stops trying, give him the treat from the other hand.Repeat until your dog moves away from that first fist when you say, “Leave it.”Next, only give your dog the treat when he moves away from that first fist and also looks up at you.
2. Once your dog consistently moves away from the first treat and gives you eye contact when you say the command, you’re ready to take it up a notch. For this, use two different treats — one that’s just all right and one that’s a particularly good smelling and tasty favorite for your pup.
3. Say “Leave it,” place the less attractive treat on the floor, and cover it with your hand.Wait until your dog ignores that treat and looks at you. Then remove that treat from the floor, give him the better treat and share affection immediately.Once he’s got it, place the less tasty treat on the floor… but don’t completely cover it with your hand. Instead hold it a little bit above the treat. Over time, gradually move your hand farther and farther away until your hand is about 6 inches above. Now he’s ready to practice with you standing up! Follow the same steps, but if he tries to snatch the less tasty treat, cover it with your foot.
Don’t rush the process. Remember, you’re asking a lot of your dog. If you take it up a notch and he’s really struggling, go back to the previous stage.
Good job @op. I need your help on this. Someone close to me just got a dog two months ago with the aim that that it will serve as a security dog. To his dismay, the dog only loves to play with everybody even strangers. He is unhappy with this likewise me. I will be glad if you can help with practical example to train this dog in order to serve it's purpose. Thanks

Hey bro! That estimate is for UnderGrad programmes in my school. I go to University of Prince Edward Island, and it's a very good one. Memorial University of Newfounland and University of Manitoba are very good too.
It's very hard to gain a Masters admission with funding in Canadian schools especially when you didn't graduate with First Class! You never can tell though, you have to go to those schools' websites and send a direct email to the registrars/admission office. They'll provide you with all the necessary info regarding funding and other admission criteria.
Good luck bro!

More importantly, I don't want 2 start what I can finish. I really need to hear from people like you and other great bosses in the house. Thanks so much
