A company is about to make me a job salary offer, but they are asking me to submit my current employment letter and 6 MONTHS SALARY ACCOUNT STATEMENT. I found this intrusive. Must they see my salary payment history before making an offer? What happens to company salary grade standard? I am thinking this is a red flag. What do you think?

There are many reasons why Boko Haram in the North can't be compared to IPOB.

Boko Haram is an Islamic sect that focuses on achieving their aim which is "no western education", in which no single part or region in Northern Nigeria supports. But contrary to that, IPOB is more or less a mass movement of majority of the east which focuses on referendum. It's easier to attribute violence in the east to IPOB because majority wants it but not to Boko Haram bcus majority of the north don't appreciate their aim.

And who told you majority of people from east support Ipob? I'm sure you have never been at any eastern states but you base your judgement of a people by what you read in medias. I have lived and been to several parts of the north, and have seen the atrocities being committed by Boko haram, IPOB enthusiasts are angels compared to them!!

I dont know why Soludo is giving out conflicting information. During his governorship campaign he quoted that poverty rate declined under Peter Obi. Why is he singing a different song song now? It seems there is a strife he has with Obi that he's yet to divulge. Its really sad that Igbos can never unite for once in politics!

I over heard an advert on radio today of one Ugandan International University. It was ran with impunity. Uganda of all places advertising their Uni in Nigeria! I imagine a lot of Nigerian intending students would want to go there considering all these ASUU wahala. FG should pay the lecturers 1 month full salary and nothing more. The 8 months arrears should not be paid. So that next time they will think twice before embarking on selfish strikes.

I have never seen the boy physically but i feel terrible. If i can feel this way i wonder what chioma and Davido are going through. This is so sad, it brings tears to my eyes on imagining how the little boy must have struggled to survive and hope for someone to rescue him. Ohh this so painful.

It depends on what the offence is. If it is gross misconduct such as theft, fraud, sexual harassments accusation etc, then he should be fired in line with the company's laid down policies. But if it for redundancy, or the company feels he is no longer adding value, It will be unfair to fire him after so long service. In this case the company should just allow him to retire voluntarily. That is if he wishes to retire at that point. Otherwise they should just let me be. 40years of service to a company is not a small feat!

The release of Kanu has meanings and aims. We all understand that the Judiciary system of the country have been greatly perverted by the government. Their aim might be that he will continue his fight for referendum which will definitely cause violence in the East; once this is achieved, then it will be quite easy for them to tamper with electoral activities in the east and election results from there. If truly Igbo want to make impact in this forth coming election, they should try to avoid any form of violence no matter how pressing the issues may be. My two cents.

Boko Haram terrorist in the North were and are still killing and bombing when Buhari contested and won the election. Why was he and every other indigenes from the North not attributed to boko haram?!! It is high time that every body stopped attributing every igbo person to IPOB. Peter OBI is not campaigning as an IPOB person but as a Nigerian.

The coup you refer to that led to the civil war was orchestrated by a DELTAN nicknamed Kaduna Nzeogwu. He was not an Igbo man but from Delta. Most Eka-igbo folks from Delta will be quick to disassociate themselves as being IGBO but when the origin of the civil war is being discussed, they will keep mute and the blame will go to the IGBOs. The core Igbos have always been at the receiving end of most unrest in Nigeria. Delta man started civil war, it was IGBOs that were killed. Abiola won an election but was denied by the Hausa Fulani, it was iGBOs and their properties that were attacked in the WEST. Abacha dies on seat, there were celebrations of his death all over the WEST especially on the streets of Lagos. What happened? The Hausas in anger started burning shops owned by IGBOs in some northern states. EndSars happened, it was mostly shops owned by IGBOs that were looted and burnt. And people are angry that these people are seeking for separation?!!!
