patrick2015: Yes, IELTS isn’t needed. My application was in the form of student direct stream and that’s why it took 14 days only. For student direct, the listed conditions must be met: 1. IELTS 2. Upfront medical 3. Minimum of 30,000 CAD for POF. This is before the recent change o
Once these are met, PPR should take less than 20 days
I will use the IELTS when applying for express entry so it’s not useless. You’d write it someday too Sorry to bother you. The IELTS you submitted, was it academic or general? |

dehiero: Due to the new LOA verification directive from ircc to all colleges everything is on pause if you look closely since 1st of dec no one has gotten Ppr here it’s not only you waiting just be patient every day you’re getting closer to your victory post…alternatively you can send a web form since your resumption date is close…cheers I don't think everything is on pause. Even if it's on pause, it is on pause for applications done on December 1st upwards and not for applications submitted before December 1st. |

Please how did you get 502? Llaye: I’m not sure this is it, because I can’t see how keeping the scores high serves them. I think they’re starting to lean towards occupations in demand draws through the PNP since most PNP holders are in occupations that are in demand by their provinces .
I just wish they would inform us before changing things randomly. I understand it’s their country and they can choose whatever system they like, but it does seem “improper” (read: unfair) to change systems suddenly while keeping applicants in the dark. Especially when you say you are trying to attract people.
But they can get away with doing things this way, so I guess we have to accept it. 😥
Me and my 502 score have been sitting in the pool for about four weeks now, yet no ITA. Who would have thought that could happen? |

God bless you nymphomaniac: I can relate to what Donsimon2 said sha.
My advise remains that the PR remains a second option. One must live life as if FSW and its process never exists. It must be a backup and life must be lived to the fullest here in Nigeria and If it comes, it comes. Get that marriage done, get that baby made. Get that certification or that new car
Sometimes, it’s the hope that kills. Other times, the hope fuels us. There is light at the end of the tunnel anyway. If they have gotten to 490, they will get to 480 and hopefully 470 this year. |

tshtsh: I doubt if this will go below 470s. Reason being that people are added to the pool daily. In addition the number of international students that trooped into canada in 2021 and 2022 are more than double pre-covid numbers. A good percentage of these students will be joining the pool as CECs with higher scores and will thus keep the average scores higher than pre-covid levels. Please can I have your contact? It could be your Whatsapp number or your email. Thank you. |

Zeewirld: ... I don't think that indiscipline is the major reason why Nigerians are not able to save.. In my opinion, Black tax and marrying a wrong partner are the major reasons why most Nigerians struggle financially.
Firstly, the act of carrying generational burdens and expending limited resources on such means that we are continually struggling to meet up.
I know a couple that works, both husband and wife and yet they are struggling.
The second reason which I think is the most important factor is MARRYING A WRONG PARTNER.A lot of Nigerian men have been conditioned into believing that as the head of the house they must foot all bills despite having a wife that is not handicapped. This ,I guess was why those seniors adviced that "you wait and get married first" ....That is a terrible culture that promotes laziness and prevent generational wealth. Marriage is a joint venture between two consenting adults. As such,I see no reason why one partner will depend wholly on the other..In some or most cases, you have the women working and earning humongous pay and yet they refused to contribute financially to the home front.. I think there is a need for reorientation and alignment of expectations with reality.
It is important that a couple before marriage have this important discussion about money/finances...It is important that a woman contribute financially to her immediate family. |

tshtsh: The truth is sometimes bitter. I was having lunch with a friend in Toronto last week and he told me that emotions aside if they call an election he will vote the conservatives. Unfortunately from Nigeria nobody will understand as many want to move to Canada. I feel like the current Canadian government hasn't done much to address the housing crises. Ontario has a lot of land (bigger than Nigeria in land mass) but housing crises is crazy. I spent 4 months in an AirBnb at a rate
of $2800 monthly. I got tired of using uber to go view condos. Many times I'd go view a condo I'll meet like 5 or 7 people viewing same apartment. I submitted multiple offers but got turned down. Landlords are smiling to the bank in GTA. My employer gave me a supporting letter still struggled through bidding war before one application was eventually accepted. I've been wondering why they don't construct more houses instead of fighting the source of the demand. More students and more immigrants will obviously need more housing. Doug Ford is frustrated. The mayor of Mississauga is also frustrated I can't wait to enter Canada next year. They should be building houses oo.. I am ready to supply cement |

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the response. ceeplusltd: its same as buying dollar from the black market. There is no way your sister will give you dollar at bank rate.but if she can do that, very good I must say.send naira into her naira account, then she can send dollar equivalent into your domiciliary account.
NOTE: what I mean by her naira account is her Nigeria bank account. Maybe she has some dollar she want to send home. You can buy from her. But I doubt if she will sell to you at bank rate. |

It seems you don't believe in God's grace. God's grace is real CountVersailles: Let's get something straight. It's not any God's grace. You were an exception, which is okay. There are many more people possibly in other countries who were also exceptions like this. It's a good thing, an excellent thing, but don't let it get into your head. It's not any God's grace where you were specifically targeted. Those who are in for longer are just like you and it doesn't make them any worse off or any lacking of God's grace. |

The draw they are doing presently is strategic recruitment and not family ties and the cut off is usually 700 and above. There are 2 draws for MPNP, strategic recruitment and family ties. The last time they did family ties draw was July 27, 2021 with cut off of 557. Honeysweetest: they did not do for people with family ties? I thought you must have family ties to become eligible ? |

Just go for BCS that matches your noc for SINP purposes 1760: Hello, house,
I need a guide, I tried applying for SINP, but my challenge is that my NOC (2171 tech) must match my ECA I had my degrees in social sciences.
I had BCS (2 or more) which is related to my NOC.
My questions:
Can I use (evaluate) my BCS which matches my NOC for SINP purposes? given that my undergraduate NOC is 2171 (they are related)
Won't my ECA in social sciences affect negatively my present NOC which is in tech now? |

Mine is Dec 2020 though, no update whatsoever other than that my medicals was extended late May 2022, contacted the VO via email and they just a gave a typical vague response that my application is still under processing. No ADR or any other request. Folks, what do you reckon I do to hasten things? Feedback will be appreciated.
Many thanks. |
