Manchester United have called an emergency board meeting to discuss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal as manager in the wake of the club’s debilitating 4-1 loss at relegation-threatened Watford. The Sunday Times understands the virtual meeting has been scheduled for 7pm with Solskjaer’s compensation terms on its agenda.

Fred does what he's instructed to do well enough and shouldn't get hate for not doing a role well that he's not even asked to do. McTom has been really quiet in the last few months, I rarely notice him in games, much less than the players around him.

I can never fault him for his work rate and ethic. He has his flaws, but he never gives up. We have too many players that just don't run as much or pressure as much as he does (Pogba, McTom, Greenwood, Sancho etc), and he's almost a guarantee that every game he'll run his lungs out. You need a player like that in a team. Whether people like it or not, he's our runner and work horse (Cavani as well).

The only argument against Jaap Stam is longevity. Jaap Stam's 3 years in the EPL stands up against any other defender in EPL history.

3 years. 3 EPL titles. 3 PFA Team of the Year. 2 UEFA Champions League Best Defender. 1 UEFA Champions League Title.

He is in United's Top 5 EPL defenders. No question.

Then technically he had no weakness. He could pass the ball and he was as strong as the strongest of those other EPL great defenders and as fast as the fastest of them as well, and was also dominant in the air. Although for some reason Kanu gave him problems.

Vidic and Rio had each other. Terry and Crvalho had each other. Had Stam had played alongside another great defender and had he stayed for longer he probably would be the obvious choice for EPL best defender.

Look at how trimmed he is now. When he was at Barcelona, he was training to become a Sumo fighter.
