Eruditor:Dude, ehn you na serious case.Madrid don't care about la liga.Maybe they do but the league can go to blazes for all they care so far as they secure that UCL.The interest was there during MOU strictly due to Barca of that period.Once Barca dynasty ended, they went back to default mode.Zidane's team is a testimony of that. He's team has never had love for the league title even though you may argue they did if not why did he win it.Points won in la liga is of no point to that team and has never been a testimony of how far they can push Barca Again,96 pts didn't set anything for that team because they still went trophyless at the end of the day.Pellegrini's team was worse off they were the previous season. He spent a fortune to lose the league to a team that was full of academy players and lost to Lyon in the r16.He didn't have any clue on how to stop Barca and was booted out and replaced by a manger that had proved with results that he can stop the team. How many times do I have to repeat the same thing for you to understand.smh |
A40:Seriously?? Playing for England will guarantee something.lol He's not winning anything with England. He's not displacing Harry Kane from that position. an inform Tammy will always be second choice to out of form Kane.England will drop him like a ball of fried akara once another new kid pops up in the block and if he so much as loses form. Nigeria with him and Tomori and a couple of chaps like Saka wouldve been an afcon contender with the current crop of players we have.A decent season will see him compete for African player of the year. That shirt in the national team is almost guaranteed for him.Nobody is dropping him for lack of form. The gain are endless Know that am not speaking from a position of Nigerian but strictly as a football fan.You can't deny theres more to be offered here football wise than there |
larride:Unless both guys are really using this to get clout which I highly suspect, the whole not taking a beef serious is actually lame and a very stupid excuse. You draw the line when you put it all on wax and no amount of not taking the beef serious will stop you from taking the big L if you lose the battle |
Eruditor:Mou got 92 pts as you posted.Just 1 draw and a win away from equalling Pellegrini with an additional bonus of Copa del rey over Barca and UCL SF.Zidane and Carlo are way down the line.By the time this two came in,there were no more Barca of the old days I have nothing on the Pellegrini.I can't say he is good or bad. He's managed some decent clubs but saying he did anything significant at Madrid is a bit of a stretch.Your claim of pushing 96 pts is what I have told you that any manager that had the team he had will win football matches and will get that same result.Mou almost did it the following season he came |
Both diss songs were good but nothing great and fell short of what I really expected Beef is probably my favorite M.I song and he did nothing compared to that. The whole J Cole "1985" song approach he took on the song wasnt really cutting it out for me.He basically rapped the whole topic over and over again just approaching each bit differently. He had content and words to say but didn't have the killer factor a beef should have.In the Beef song,he was concise and went for the kill.Rapping about Vector's ysg fight label fight wasn't something that wowed me from a "that's crazy" point of view Vector on the other hand kinda went for the killer factor but lacked the guns and heart to pull the trigger. Was highly incoherent.Felt at times he was going to forget his lines.Lacked energy a diss track should have.Sounded a lil repetitive and was kinda bad in his rhymings. Was defensive rather than offensive.Could have done more in his pennings especially he wrote well on Brymo,Jesse Jagz exit topics.Had a lot to say if he had wrote well. His verses looked pale and a lil bit rushed. Conclusion- M.I takes the lead but its not a battle that will turn many head especially if you are a core hiphop fan like myself that has listened to diss tracks from 2pac to Pusha T |
A40:It was a good diss lyrically and subject wise but problem was it was largely incoherent. He will start a topic and suddenly disappear only to appear somewhere in another verse and talk about what he talked in the initial verse. He also sounded a little bit tensed in the beginning but blended as the track went on.But he did a bad job rhyming the "CeeCee" line.Started well on it and kinda sounded a little repetitive. He may have not had arranged his lyrics well but I still think it was a decent song. Both artists still need a lot of improvement in terms of delivery. Ether was a very basic beat.I remember listening to Drakes back to back and i thought what was this beat?? The Beat isnt half bad |
A40:I observed that too.His rapping, subject matter and delivery were nice but it lacked energy and was sometimes all over the place.Don't think the beat was bad anyway.Lots of rap beef beats are mostly simple. You need beats that are so simple so that your message is passed across rather than one where your listeners are bumping more to the beat than what you say Anyway, don't listen to Nigerian songs anymore but as a hiphop fan, this beef is very good for the culture and afro hiphop |
Eruditor:If you give me Ronaldo of Ferguson, Benzema of Lyon and Kaka of AC Milan,I will get you 96 pts and will push for the title down to the wire. They only needed to maintain same momentum with Barca. They had the team and squad to do it.Mourinho did it only shy of 4 pts.Its nothing special And please Pellegrini didn't show anything.Mourinho had proven he could defeat and challenge Barca with inter milan. What was Pellegrini showing when he got spanked home and away |
sleekdot:Isnt that what I was saying before?? Both players peaked after the 2015 season. Was in not 2015 that Robben scored a cracker against Arsenal or so?? They were still good in 2015 if not that injury set in for both players and that really went downhill from there |
Eruditor:Jesus Christ. Have you been reading what I have been saying since?? When I said that the 6 - 2 game was a wake up call to Madrid, what did you think I was pointing at the first place?? You think Madrid invested so much in Ronaldo,Kaka,Di Maria etc just because they wanted to show they were better than Barca?? You brought I should look statistics of 2009/10 season and I posted it up for you to see that Pellegrini went trophyless in his first and only season at the club. How is Pellegrini 96 pts and still trophyless seaeon comparable to finishing 3rd and winning Champions league or winning copa del rey and finishing 2nd?? Pellegrini didn't do anything at Madrid. He didn't set any precedent in any form.He left the way he came in.If you think getting 96 pts with Kaka and Ronaldo and still going trophyless was the beginning of anything at Madrid, then i have nothing more to say on the subject |
Eruditor:You raised and have maintained 2 points which I said are false.1 is that Pellegrini started Madrid transitioning and 2 that Mourinho only retained his job after the first season because of CV. 1. Pellegrini was dumped out of UCL at the r16 by Lyon, finished 96 pts behind Barca at 2nd place and didn't win the Copa del rey.Look at the stats https://www.liveabout.com/spanish-league-winners-and-runners-up-3557342 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009%E2%80%9310_Real_Madrid_CF_season As I said any rookie manager would've done this with that squad. It was nothing exceptional. I can do it too.Having Raul,Guti,Benzema,Kaka ,Ronaldo etc and coming 2nd in the league and going trophyless, getting dumped in the r16 of UCL over an unknown Pique,Busquet and shambolic Valdez was not down to any high profile manager. He was terrible and was booted out accordingly. They spent all that money for nothing. 2.Mourinho in his first season got one over Barca in the Copa Del rey final (A trophy they didn't win in how many years),took them to the first semi final https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%9311_Real_Madrid_CF_season How can Madrid sack a manager that won them copa del rey over Barcelona and took them to their first UCL semi final in how many years??Maybe according to investments made,he should have been sacked. But based on how they were the past 5 years and what he did in just 1 season, they were right to retain him and this is where the rebuilding started |
izzou:He would've been a lion in the street than a mouse in the jungle.Football politics,NFF bullshiit aside,Nigeria was a good choice if it was strictly football on the field.Playing for Nigeria would've given him all you listed above and more |
Eruditor:Neck to Neck??lol. Madrid were coming 2nd in the league with 96 pts and getting dumped by Lyon at the r16,Barca were getting dumped out of the UCL by Inter Milan in the semi final.Barca already had a football structure in place with academy players.Madrid had spent a fortune.Barca had spanked them home and away.Check the difference between the two.As I have mentioned before, winning the league wasn't Madrids prerogative Again,Mourinho took them to the Semi final of the UCL in his first season at the club beating Barca in the Copa del rey final.Check Madrid with their record spendings under Pellegrini where they finished and what Mourinho did with that same squad. Why do you think Madrid as club and their fans love that guy??He only left because of his problems in the dressing room. You can't even bring up Lampard because these are entirely 2 different scenarios. One has a transfer ban with his entire hands tied.He can only do much with a limited squad. The other had at the time 2 of world best footballers.Lampard has an excuse to give,Pellegrini doesn't. That is why the whole 96 pts line doesn't sell because Madrid were already league winners around 2 seasons ago or so.Its not like they went some 5 years or a decade without the trophy. And for the record,Barcelona won that league with Pellegrini at the helm of affairs at Madrid.lol They didn't buy Kaka and Ronaldo to win la liga. Those guys were bought for 2 reasons. The main being that they saw Barca was taking over Europe and had moved differently in terms of how they played their football,in terms of club and player structure etc. They needed to do the same. That's why they were heavily criticised at that time for spending when Barca were using their own products The second reason was UCL.Again this was a competition they were exiting at the r16 and they didn't really make a move to remedy the situation. This was the period EPL teams were dominating the competition. All of a sudden change in structure at Barcelona in just 1 year already saw them move from finishing 3rd in la liga to winning the UCL.The standards were already set and Madrid needed to be up and running again. All this reasons are why Spanish teams have dominated Europe for the past decade.Pep revolutionized that country's football landscape. The competition between the 2 clubs not necessarily on the field but in terms of how they play, mentality etc is what has been seen for at least 10 years now |
Haemophilia:OK.They won after he retired. Thanks for the correction |
Eruditor:I used form cause maybe Peak is much of something that would be hard to really interpret In your analogy, the only thing he changed was his training.Nothing more. The ability was always there just that he needed to train differently. Its same thing like playing Ronaldo from winger to striker. The ability was always there is just that playing as a striker maximises his effiecncy. Now imagine Bolt at 40 years.Weak and frail bones cannot carry him as before. So now no matter the diet he's given or training,he cannot run as before. This is where he's done as an athlete Look at it this way.A Car that moves you from point A to B has a deflated tire.It can still move just that it is now slow due to the bad tire. You cannot condemn the car because of a bad tire.Changing that tire sees you moving much faster than before. But a broken Engine cannot move at all.Same thing with football.A player seems done because of a variety of reasons like poor coaches not utilising him well, poor positional play etc.The ability is there but not maximised.A new coach comes in,gives him that extra motivation, plays him in his preferred position and boom he is producing results and scoring goals. But there will come a time when no matter the amount of coaches motivation or playing him his preferred position will see him score those amount of goals he used to score before. This is the time he's done as a footballer |
Eruditor:Barca and Madrid were sleeping giants.Barca woke up first and Madrid followed accordingly Pep and Barca were moving in entirely different directions which Madrid needed to stop or at the very least bring their selves up to that level.Barcelona couldn't assembly the greatest team with their unique way of playing and Madrid kept mum about it.That 6 - 2 at Santiago Bernaleo was the highlight of the two different worlds the team were at that time.It had little to nothing to do with league. That was the reason Madrid decided it was time they followed suit before Barca left them in the dust. Mourinho celebrating 100 pts was more of a personal thing than a "madrid " thing. He felt and rightly so that he was the man to bring down the dynasty.Defeating Barca then was a big thing.Check some of the memorable defeats in this decade has always been Barca.Getting a victory over Barca is still a very big thing for clubs Yes,part of the reason Mourinho stayed was because of his CV but he showed the club they had the chance to compete with Barcelona and in the same breath go far in the continental competition.Madrid didn't spend all that money only because of a coach's profile alone |
Eruditor:In sports in general, its either you are in form or not. That's the simplest way to put it.Being in form means you still have that ability to produce irrespective of age.Its just the general belief that as you get older, you lose some of those abilities.Doesn't mean its true.Scholes was called out of retirement by SAF and still produced.Buffon still mans his post better than most GKs today. I don't follow tennis but if Roger is still a top 10 tennis player today,it means he can still play |
sleekdot:During Bayern's PEAK years, who and who were better than the combination of Ribery and Robben?? |
Eruditor:Winning the league with max points was the least headache of Madrid.I just brought that up to show you that Mourinho won the league with most points more than Pellegrini. You don't bring in Kaka,Ronaldo,Benzema to win 96 pts in the league.lol and still get booted out of the champions league at r16. One misconception you have is that Pellegrini started the trend at Madrid especially in UCL which he didn't.He was just the guy at the helm of the affairs at the club that got his hands full of world class players.Winning the league was more of what and who the money was spent on rather than what Pellegrini did on the field. When his ability as a coach was called into play,he was dumped put of the champions league. That's why Madrid didnt hesistate to kick him out.If he started anything,he would've stayed longer at the job. What did Mourinho do after his first season??How many trophies did he win in that season??He was disgraced at Camp Nou.But he still kept his job. This was becauee Madrid saw he had concrete plan for them.He instilled that winning spirit and the we should not fear Barca mantra in the team.Beating us at the copa del rey final. That was the foundation the club has used since then. You have to spot the difference between the two to see what am trying to say |
airmark:No big deal?? Lol. Its no secret you play your best 11.England were playing a 1 - 1 draw and the Rashford who has been out of form was brought in ahead of Tammy who is in the form of his life and was only brought in when they were chasing the game |
Eruditor:You are mistaken something. Peak of a player is that stint period the player produces at maximum before he declines or sees himself not producing at that level again. This usually comes with age.So many players have defiled this notion by the way.players like Van der Saar,Pirlo continued to produce and play better as they age increased. But all this one na grammar.. Bayern players were still playing very well even as at 2015.Even some Bayern fans could argue that they lost to Barcelona as at 2015 because they played without Ribery and Robbem due to injury. This goes to show you that even at that stage, this team was really fearsome |
PDPGuy:That guy will regret it.He will only be good when England are losing.Today was just a typical example of what is to come |
Eruditor:Then why did he get his ass booted out after winning that much.Mourinho won La liga with a record 100 pts if my memory serves me correctly.Pellegrini was just the manager that was available during Madrid's rebuilding stage that saw them buy so much.Nothing more .He was just a victim of good circumstance. The season he won that much, where did Madrid finish in the champions league??Any rookie would've won have that league with all those signings and Madrid saw it that way. |
Meanwhile,by the time England are done with Tammy Abraham ehn,he will wish he played for Nigeria ![]() England are playing 1 - 1 and are lacking ideas in front of goal and they brought in an out of form Rashford and kept an in form Tammy on the bench.lol |
Eruditor:Lol.I don't think theres anything like extension of a players peak.If you are done as a player, then you are done.Spain had pretty much the same team they used in dominating for 5 years they were on top of the world for the 2014 WC and we know how it all went down |
IKON360:You don't take all this people that bring all this type of list out serious. They just bring it out to get reactions, likes and followers.Drogba who won African cup of nations and showed up in big games for Chelsea not to mention his trophies and individual achievements is good not great.smh |
Eruditor:He has a point.Madrid is competing in Europe today is Mourinho.May have had his ass handed to him at Camp Nou and a terrible last season but he built the foundation of Madrid today. But just like Cryuff that laid the blueprint for Guardiola to use in tiki taka,Carlo and Zidane just built on that foundation |
Eruditor:That team peaked after that 2015 season they lost against Barca. They were still playing well after the 2013/14 season |
Eruditor:Maybe there's an element of truth in this but that German team never peaked in 2013.Germany were 2014 WC winners (Bayern players were at the peak).Robben had a great WC.Lahm was playing his greatest football.2015 Boateng was world best defender and Neuer was contending for Balon d'or. The team that peaked that period was Spain that saw players like Xavi,Casillas etc all coming to the peak of their powers |
Eruditor:That Kendrick guy's style of debate dey tire me.When has the price tag of a player ever justified anything?? Can name a shiit load of players who didn't play 10℅ of their price tag.smh |
andrew444:Didn't judge him.Just stated what I have seen from him so far.But maybe it's too early to say sha |
Eruditor:Brighton game was more icing on the cake than anything. If they played as bad as they played against Brighton previously against Bayern, the scoreline could've easily doubled. The first half of the Bayern game was pretty much 50 - 50 just that Bayern took the lead at the stroke of half time.Against Brighton, they gave away a goal at the 3rd minute and couldn't get a shot on target until Moura came on the 2nd half.Watching that game,I thought it was a bunch of 12 year olds that were playing for the first time |
