Politics › Re: Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) Would Not Be A Good Economic Manager- MY WATCH by Adminisher: 12:20pm On Dec 10, 2014
Many Nairalanders are too young to understand anything. I am getting worried at the sheer dumbness and lack of basic education of the average Nigerian youth. Half of them are motivated by tribalism, the other half want to be equal partakers in the culture of corruption that is stealing their future and their children. So for those who need understanding here it is.

There is an ideological divide between Buhari and Obasanjo.

Obasanjo is a western inspired, big business capitalist politician, he is actually of the same mould as Good luck Jonathan in this respect. They prefer having billionaires on Forbes list instead of a large middle class. They accept poverty as long as it is not their children. They are both PDP.

Buhari on the other hand is a nationalist social welfarist. Buhari paid back all our debt and refused to take loans with IMF conditionalities.
When our Naira was going to be destroyed vis-a-vis the dollar, he started counter trade so that we could exchange our oil for industrial spares, raw materials and so on all in a bid that we don't join the world economic system from a position of weakness. Buhari's approach had things going for it and against it but it was purely an ideological direction not one of managerial skill.

A good example of the difference in the two approaches is Ajaoukuta steel. If Buhari was head of state we would have finished this plant twn years ago and gone into flat sheet and many foundries would have sprung up. He would have done that by appealing to nationalistic sentiments, inspired self reliance and so on. Obasanjo's regime merely tried to sell or sold the plant to foreign buyers thinking they would be more efficient than government.

With this background there was no way Obasanjo would have called Buhari a good economic manager. In any case compared with Obasanjo and Buhari, Jonathan is a complete economic illiterate.

This man is always unpresidential. If i took a vilkage headmaster and made him president his language skills would not be much different from Jona. Some very pedestrian way of thinking and speaking. Nigeria is not an NDDC departmental meeting pleeeease.
Most presidents have their selected public speeches and sayings published after they leave office, i have been wondering how GEJ's would read like.

These lies are exactly the kind that the four women who run Nigeria tell to the fifth and junior president to make him do stupid stuff. The APC will not have a president controlled by four unelected women. The APC is not buiot on lies.

This man destroyed Tinubu and Atiku more than Jonathan. All jonathanians calling obj names because of a minor attack.on GEJ are showing early signs of failure. Idont even think he called Jonathan corrupt in this book but he reserved that word for Tinubu. Due to all the umbrage about this book i am sure.GEJ is almost certainly not going to win the elections if the panic this 'small' book is causing is anything to go by.

Have they seen and read a copy of the book?
SSS must have obtained a copy of the manuscript before even publishing. PDP went to beg but it was all too late. I believe everything in this book is true especially now Obasanjo has said anybody who has a contrary information should come forward. If we don't see a court case against any case info presented in this book then everything in it is correct

The same right you have. You need to start using yours because you are younger than Obj and it is your future. Only God should never be criticized.

GEJ till APC fields a credible person.

Nothing much about this FTC. Well, here in Otuoke where I'm schooling, we are yet to see the book.
The kettle is actually the qualified party to call the pot black because they have been on the same fire. All information about corruption come from inside sources. You guys are confirming that GEJ is corrupt when you say a fellow corrupt leader should not out him. Think about how ridiculous that sounds.

OBJ had the opportunity to turn Nigeria into a semi-paradise, he couldn't because of greed. He is now busy writing books to cover his deficiencies and blaming others for the woes that have befallen Nigeria. OBJ is truly,'The animal called man', very ungrateful, greedy and self serving. No amount of books written will exonerate him from the ills in the society, In fact, the books will be used as further evidences to nail him.
There is no nailing Obasanjo. The man is no more in government and is not standing for elections. There is only one man on trial in February and it is GEJ.

7. “The longest period that I have met one-on-one with the president was for one hour and ten minutes. That whole time, the president talked about nothing that was in the interest of Nigeria; instead he kept pointing out his supposed enemies and various matters that would not serve his interests. I could not stop myself from blurting out: “Mr President, no Nigerian should be your enemy. You have to be like rain falling on good and bad people alike. With that experience, I was not surprised that the president went dancing twenty-four hours after the Nyanya explosion.”
Well I have used the word 'self absorbed' to describe GEJ. This confirms it. You become President by accident and it is like it is your birth right and nothing else comes close in importance, not chibok girls, not Niger delta poor people, not students, not workers, not northern youths, not the middle class...just you, a few militants and billionaires.

Nigeria is quite unfortunate to have men of low character like Obasanjo as leaders. How do you explain a man exchanging words with her daughter in public domain? What has become of private discourse between father and daughter?
I have always known that the greatest challenge facing Africa is one of having men who can't keep the house together ruling us. The family is the basic and simplest segment of the society, show me a man who failed as a husband and I will show you a man not worthy of being trusted with any leadership role. Okikiolu Olusegun Obasanjo is a failed man. See him revealing his family secret in public. Sadly, no peace for a wicked man. Baba yi ma ka titi to fi ma Ku ni - meaning he is going to keep confessing like a witch till he dies.
The failed man is the president sharing his constitutional duties with a half educated aggressive wife.
OBJ did not reveal his family secrets in public, his children did and were all probably telling lies. As for family issues, count Mandela, Clinton, Putin, Mugabe, Buhari, Chime, Ojukwu' s father, Ojukwu himself and so many others as people in public life who were either divorced or have had family issues. It does not subtract from their record of service to their people. Compare these to Babangida, Abacha and other who never had family issues in public but were very evil.

No financing is guaranteed yet and if you read through the write up no construction is going to start in the next two or three years. Only an idiot will vote for a government on the basis of an MOU to construct a fake power plant.
Politics › Re: What Did Nigeria Do With The 2010-2014 Oil Windfall by Adminisher: 3:00pm On Dec 09, 2014
All infrastructural projects are PPP and Chinese EXIM bank loans....especially railways and most of the federal roads so it this money was not spent on infrastructure. Also the Agricultural budget was reduced at this same time thus releasing more money for chopping.

The defence and security budgets in particular were comprehensively 'chopped' and equitably shared amongst thieves including some retired heads of state and generals in the military. Very sophisticated sharing formula was adopted. So in general the windfall of the period 2010 - 2014 went into private pockets and 200 private jets.

The smartest people in Nigeria were the university lecturers (ASUU members) who made sure they got paid as well after their well publicised strike. Even soldiers went on strike using their wives.
PENGASSAN, NUPENG should also do theirs soon before Christmas.

Nigeria we hail their. GEJ till May, 2015.

If I was in Obasanjo' s shoes I would do what he is doing now. It is only in the movies that enemies use your children against you and you stay idle. He must also have told some lies in the book so I think everybody mentioned should come forward with a public denial if the story were not true. Let the games begin we are in harvesting period but all secrets must come out before 2015.

Oh a huge one. I forgot that completely and also the Poverty alleviation Programme.

These are policies that improves the standard of living of the ordinary Nigerians. Policies that adds or increases the amount of Naira inside the pockets of Nigerians.

I dare anyone to mention any policies that has improve the lives of Nigerians that has been completely implemented by Jonathan and his goons. All I read on papers are distribution of fertilizers and the free rise and fall of megawatts of power. Let me remind Nigerians, that the Agricultural boom actually started from Obasanjo's era.
No political prisoners, agriculture, ICT boom and ability to allow good ministers to work without interference.

These are the four things I give Jonathan credit for if one were to be objective. (on the last one, ministers working without interference, GEJ outclasses OBJ by a factor of 4)

However defence, security, corruption, unequal income distribution, and poor international prestige of Nigeria spoilt everything.

For where? guy chill, OBJ is just crying and regretting for bringing in GEJ because he later realised GEJ is not a mugu that he can toss around like a coin the way tinubu will bring in fashola, toss around and now he is about to bring in ambode to run the admin by himself.
Nigerians dont be deceived, do you think if GEJ was nodding to all OBJ's instructions the letter and book would have come out? GEJ would have been the best president in his own eyes even if Nigerians were crying of bad governance. Dont clap for him bc he is writing and expressing his anger over his inability to take charge of the Govt as the godfather that brought in GEJ and enrich himself. Get simple sense guy.
If you mean reneging on the promise of single term is not a big reason for Obi's criticism, then you are hiding away from the truth.
And GEJ is not a mugu, Really?. Methinks whether for the four WOMEN that Obj just mentioned or for Clark or for Tompolo, GEJ is the natural, God-created and unadulterated Mugu. Its like Big Brother House and GEJ's game is mugu, it can work to make you president but it wont keep happy in office. The GEJ man is the most composite public personality I have ever seen in the world. It is made up of many parts composed of the people who have their strongest influence on him. It is sometimes Mama Peace or Diezani and the gov't itself is fluctuating between influences of Ngozi, Diezani, Mama Peace, most recently IBB and sometimes Danjuma. What I am sure is that GEJ himself lacks, any personal ideology, principle or passion.

Barcanista I want to school you.... You know little about Global Energy business, Now do you know that the real price of petrol per little is NGN 140 while crude is $100, but Gov decided to pay ur NGN 43, now crude is $70 , by simple algebra( as an Engineer) petrol supposed to be sold for NGN 98 , so even if we are refining the crude Gov is subsiding NGN 1.00 ( one naira) for you.... before now dollar to Naira was NGN162 and its now NGN 178, thats an increament of NGN16.... thats a multiple effect of one tenth of the original value( NGN162). so if federal government was selling petrol at 97 Naira It means there is a multiple effect of additional one tenth which is NGN9.7, so if u add this to NGN98 =
NGN107.7.... So in all Feg Gov is still subsiding NGN10 per litter for you......

CC: tits , Demdem, revolts, omenka
Please redo this calculation for crude oil at $60 a barrel and tell the govt to reduce the pump price. I have always believed the devaluation of the naira was an attempt to take the subsidy money through the back door since that is where the nigeria spends an unbelievable amount of naira (N1.7 trillion in 2012) but the price is going to fall lower so govt should give back the money.

Everybody in PDP is a political prostitute. Self seeking, soft in the head, selfish and materialistic. If Obj had used EFCC and money he would have gotten third term easily if he wanted and he had unbelievable money.
