Foreign Affairs › Re: Saudi Has 100,000 Air-conditioned Tents Sitting Empty, Still Won’t Take Refugees by Adminisher: 3:28am On Feb 01, 2017
Europe and US destabilised the middle east. Europe and US will take the refugees.
This OP is very ignorant. You cannot teach Saudis charity.
The Saudis are bankrolling the economies of Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, half of Lebanon, half of Pakistan and a lot of rebel groups in Syria. I don't like their religion and their Wahabism but every country has a point of view. When Trump is talking about " taking the oil" , that is the mentality that should also take the refugees.

When I look at the way Americans are staging protest here and there
I laugh. This people must be kidding me. This is exactly what what
this man told u he is going to do before u voted him in. I have never
seen a president or anybody so committed to his words like this
Trump of a guy.
He promised change and less than two weeks he has almost
accomplished all his campaign promises. WHY ALL THE HATE?
Now Obama is telling him "hey, u can't run America like ur family "
but he has atleast giving God back the glory. Trump is a God's sent.
The truth is that I will choose Trump over Obama anytime.
This is the kind of leaders we need in Nigeria. People who has the
interest of the common masses at heart.
I think Buhari should sit down have a rethink wherever he is. I mean
it's not everyday that a country wants their president
dead!!!! .........it is unheard of. He has made life so unbearable that
even beggars on the streets wants him dead.
You're policies is killing your people and you don't care. Even when
your wife tries to talk to you you reminds her that opinion is needed
only in the kitchen and the other room.
I won't be surprised if he still dies in office Co's I have never seen
so much hate towards one man in my entire existence.
I have always said this and still maintain my stand. Jonathan was
not the best but this cow from daura is not a substitute.
GOOD MORNING NIGERIA I HOPE U ARE ENJOYING YOUR CHANGE
We are enjoying the change. The external reserves are rising. Some of the very poor are getting social welfare. Refineries are gradually coming back. Key strategic railways have been funded, Niger Bridge has been funded, my friends doing agriculture and small scale manufacturing are smilling., school feeding has started slowly. Inflation is a little high which intelligent people expected. If you are a desk bound guy working in a bank or office bound admin job, you are on your own.
The Naira to dollar exchange rate is high but I like it, I am cutting my taste for foreign goods.
The only problem is power which PDP caused after spending $30bn between OBJ, Yaradua and Jonathan.

Those that want to demonstrate can go and demonstrate, we shall watch it on Channels TV if CNN does not carry it.
I have until 2019 to assess this government. I will wait until then and VOTE my verdict.

Nigeria Best president ever ruled that majority of Nigeria enjoy what a country should be = GEJ despite protests of chibok girls, bokoharam, ebola etc he is still the best president. life was so easy and making sense until they take away Good luck and gave us bad luck! embarassed
Life was easy ...but it was not making sense.
Oil price was high and we ate it all and bleeped with the remaining
Nothing easy makes sense. You have to get off cluelessness.
This kind of post cannot be made by a German, Dutch or UK National of your age . We were the most stupid country under Jonathan. We wasted our future and were making moves to waste our children's future. God helped us by crashing the oil price. Now the brains of Nigerians have started working

Whether you like this post or not does not matter, the truth is always bitter.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Gains $22m From Bonny Light Crude In December by Adminisher: 12:54am On Feb 01, 2017
What kind of stupid accounting is this? The OP must be PDP, he wants to steal money.
It is $22million per day increase. Out of this, the oil companies under the new Deal we signed on the JV will probably collect $10million more per day in oil to charge back what we are owing in cash calls. So it is just $66million extra per month or just about $800million extra per year. The government revenues will increase a little but the external reserves of Nigeria will grow very fast in the next one year. If we are disciplined and eat Nigerian rice and Wear Nigerian clothes and burn Nigerian petrol, we might hit $60billion reserves in 2018. After that the Naira will start trying to appreciate but I suggest that Nigeria should keep it at N500 to $1.
The advanced countries are going to start tit for tat devaluation of their currency in 2017 and it will hurt us if we keep Naira too high.
Politics › Re: Buhari's Health; Can The FOI Act Be Invoke To Demand For Buhari's Health Status? by Adminisher: 12:44am On Feb 01, 2017
It is against the law in advanced countries for your employer to broadcast your health condition because it can be used to discriminate against you at work or whilst searching for work. So you the OP can go to court and say I want to know my Presidents health condition and he is free to hide whole portions of it. I think it works the same way. The President 's health unfortunately is not public information and you don't have a right to it. Anecdotally, the greatest Presidents in the US; FDR and Kennedy were not healthy. One was crippled by polio the other had back trouble, some venereal diseases and was in pain 80% of the time.

What is happening in Nigeria now is an attestation to a popular saying.........YOU NEVER KNOW THE VALUE OF A THING/PERSON UNTIL YOU LOSE IT/HIM.

We thought GEJ was bad, now, we know better.
Said by a person who grew up under Abacha.
What do you know?...Nothing.
What is happening confirms Jonathan very bad. The economy is bad because of poor planning by Jonathan
No savings , no investments. They never cared for the youths. The guy was counting private jets and calling it index of good economy. Ijaw fish brains.
Jonathan left Ajaokuta uncompleted. No Refineries, no petrochemical, no foundries. He promised infrastructure but nothing. We were selling crude oil at the highest price ever and all we spent it on was importing petrol.
We even imported palm oil and rice .
Go and look at Arab countries, look at S. America.
Ordinary Senegal, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya had better Presidents
Now so many of poor displaced people are causing insecurity. Nigeria's problem is explansble by elementary social science.
Yaradua, Obj were better. It seems now Gowon and Shonekan were the best . Shonekan never had a chance but he did very well

chiefolododo:
Let me see how APC will give Buhari another life
APC is a very very popular party. 80 percent of the North, 60 percent of the West and 50 percent of the middle belt. The economic crunch in Naija is only being felt by vocal urban dwellers who work in offices and do social media.
Farmers, small scale manufacturers and People in the educational sector are booming

By the time the elections are holding all the social intervention programs would have been rolled out and the infrastructure programs will be well under way. Nigeria will get be Buhari a second term.
Politics › Re: Buhari Has 6 More Years To Spend In Power - Okorocha by Adminisher: 2:33pm On Jan 31, 2017
Buhari has SIX years to go. Nigeria will give that to him after that power goes to the South-East. Now the options are limited there. The people are lovers of corrupt , yesterday people. The only other popular person is Nnamdi Kanu who is far better than all their politicians many times over. However, Kanu has mental/psychological problems and he does not believe in Nigeria. So I see the chance of the SE going again to the SW or SS.

You guys are liars. Keep making Goodluck what he is not. We have watched him closely, listened to his interviews, seen him in action.
The man is EMPTY.
Stop lying to yourselves. The man was and he is nothing
Before Alams picked him up and Obj gave him quadruple promotion ..Nothing. No business being run, no social movements led, no newspaper articles, no public lectures, no invention, no innovation , no leadership.
Nothing
People are just building up a very lucky man promoted far above his abilities . The Niger Delta funny enough had much better creative , dynamic people than this guy but Alams and Obj with big egos each at their own time picked this simpleton.
Some idiot is even saying Goodluck knows science and technology and modern techniques....What hogwash?
Nigeria is such a dishonest country , everything is a LIE

In the South South, just put Imoke, Duke, Okorocha, Amechi, Ayade, Obi and others beside Goodluck and you start to see what we mean. We are not knocking a region when we knock Jonathan we are addressing his weaknesses as a person

Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Adminisher: 9:04pm On Jan 30, 2017
Henry240:
Yes, the F-7 is an interceptor. However it is not true to claim that they can't be used for COIN. 3 units are currently in Yola and I believe 3 more are in Maiduguri.

They can and have been used for COIN operations. There are countless NAF videos of the F-7 jets bombings Boko-Haram.

However they are not suited for the ground attack role they are currently used in.

GEJ did not purchase the ATR Survelliance planes, it was late President Ya'Ardua who did.

- We don't use the T-55 tanks any longer. The last time a T-55 was used operationally in Nigeria Was The 80s.

- former President Obasanjo bought 205 Otokar Cobra's. I've seen the serial numbers, I also shared it in this thread. It is a lie for anyone to claim Nigerian army Otokar Cobra's don't carry military grade armour.

They have performed pretty well in Nigeria's COIN operations. Nigerian Cobra's have taken massive punishing yet they are still going strong. Watch this space, I'll soon post a photos of Nigerian Cobra's in Combat.

This is a lie.

- that's also a lie, before GEJ we had 12 Hind helicopters, a mix of MI-24v, MI-35p. Under GEJ, we lost 3 Attack helicopters, 1 was burnt by Boko-Haram when Maiduguri base was attacked, while 2 were lost to crashes in support of COIN missions.

GEJ bought 3 attrition replacement MI-24 helicopters to replace the 3 units we lost, while his government ordered 6 MI-35m helicopters and 6 MI-17 terminator helicopters.

So, that's another lie.

- MI-17 terminator is an assault helicopter. The basic MI-17 is just a transport helicopter.

- GEJ bought 50 T-72 tanks, half of them directly from Ukraine and the other half from Excalibur from Czech Republic. No T-72 came in via Poland.

-GEJ bought 2 AW-139 rescue helicopters for NIMASA. They are however operated by the Navy.

GEJ did not buy any ASW helicopters, that's another lie.

- The L-39s are based in Kano and are used as a lead in fighter trainer. They only recently, a couple months ago began to be armed. This was done by PMB.

So that's a lie.

- MT-LB was neither bought by GEJ, I think it was Obasanjo who bought them or Shagari.

We only showed interest in the Super king, we did not buy them. So that's another lie.
There are so many ignorant people in defence still praising GEJ. The noise people are making is just to prevent a future re occurrence. Nigeria is not a toy for some ill prepared, confused kleptomaniac to be playing games. We are also watching this Government especially in defence and security. So far they are scoring B- but there is room for improvement. We should not have wasted so much time pursuing Super Tucano.
That and not keeping up the pressure on Boko for two weeks are the only reasons they don't have an A
