kolexy:If you don't support devaluation; where is the money to defend your weak naira? Naira (Nigeria) does not operate in isolation; it has to trade in the global market place to be used as a medium of exchange. Federal government simply has no money to defend a weak naira. It's not a matter of choice, it's a fact. We need to buckle up and become a manufacturing economy. Even agriculture can help us. |
Jaycool18:It was never 282. The 282 you heard was the inter bank rate. Nobody bought dollars at that rate. The simple way to explain it is that it was the rate at which banks did business among themselves. Was never for the general public. It never went below 335 after the naira was allowed to float last 2 weeks. |

Do you realize that you can plant and grow your own tomatoes? Tomatoes is easy to plant and nurture. Why don't you take up the challenge today - plant a dozen tomatoes; you will be surprised that you can help add food to the food chain in Nigeria. Don't blame Buhari for everything. Blame Nigerians who have refused to reclaim their country. Contribute your quota today!! |
OP your uncle gave you the best advise ever. Real estate investment is the best and most secure investment ever. With the way Nigerian currency is loosing value to other world currencies, fixing your money is useless. Consider that a plot of land in my town near Owerri was selling about N300,000/ plot 4 years ago. Today it goes for 1.2m/plot. Now compare someone who had N300,000 4 years ago. N300,000 4 years ago was about US$2,000. Let's assume he fixed that money 4 years ago and further assume that the bank gave him a very very generous interest rate such that the money is now N400,000. He has made N100,000 right? But N400,000 today is only worth US$1,200. He has just lost US$800 equivalent of N256,000 without even knowing it. Now do the math!!! If your town is in a university town, you are even luckier. Your money will be safe. You can rent your land to farmers in the mean time or farm it yourself. You will have your wise uncle to thank in years to come. Do not invest in any business people are telling you here to put your hard earned money. You will live to regret it. Good luck. |

Do not, on pain of Android death, open this text message. A dangerous piece of correspondence, first spotted by Norwegian security firm Heimdal, is said to effectively hand the reigns of your mobile device over to malicious hackers, who can then wipe the phone clean, or worse yet, make calls or texts on your behalf. The message contains a link to an application, and the text itself reads, “You have received a multimedia message from +[country code] [sender number] Follow the link http:www.mmsforyou [.] Net /mms.apk to view the message.” Immediately thereafter, according to Metro.uk, “The application installs the application Tor and then sends an automated text message to a number in Iran saying, ‘Thank you.’” Truly terrifying. Heimdal believes that this malicious text has been sent to over 100,000 in Denmark alone, and it is yet unclear as to whether residents of other countries have received the message. That said, there appears to be one small caveat to the text’s effectiveness — if the phone’s language is set to Russian, the dangerous app will not install. The implications of this sort of uninvited administrator access to your smartphone are serious, Heimdal points out. Given that your phone is used to verify two-factor authentication mechanisms (often considered one of the more secure forms of protection), ceding control of your phone to a hacker can lead to identity theft, and thereafter, property theft. “Attackers can open a backdoor into Android smartphones, to monitor and control them as they please, [and] read SMS messages,” the security firm says. This means hackers “can also read authentication codes sent as part of two-factor authentication mechanisms, used also by online banking apps and e-commerce websites, and use their full access to Android phones to basically manipulate the device to do whatever they want.” So what can you do to protect yourself? Don’t set your phone to Russian, first of all (unless you read the language, of course). Instead, Heimdal suggests, “NEVER click on links in SMS or MMS messages on your phone. Android phones are notoriously vulnerable and current security products dedicated to this OS are not nearly as effective as they are on computers.” Digital Trends Lulu Chang |
Your parents are right. You are WRONG!!! You are pursuing a personal vendetta and you want to ruin your brothers joy. The courts ruled in the case, that means that the man who sold the house to your dad erred. You should hold him and his family responsible, especially if you claim the original owner had a will. Listen, am having the same problem now and I am going to court. My late father wrote a will and gave me, a big landed property, just like he gave my other siblings. I live abroad and before I came back, my oldest brother (first son) had sold more than 30 plots from the land. He claimed he is the first son and had the right to sell, despite a will from our father the owner of the property. I will have my day in court and the people he sold the land to should not see me as the enemy. Let your brother have his happiness. Your parents probably know a lot more about the transaction than you do. Let peace reign. |
kaykad:I can help you. I live in US. You pay naira to my Nigerian account and I pay $ to your contact in the US. Leave your number here I will call you. All stages of transactions will be transparent and verifiable for your peace of mind. |
fluxbush:You Abians??... That's the problem of our society and the major problem in igboland. What is Abia? What is Anambra?? Mental enslavement. The create states for you, give you a geopolitical name and next thing you start to discriminate, deny and divide your heritage. I pity for this generation of Igbos |
Your wife may have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. She will need to be seen by a doctor who will obtain a full history and examine her. The fact that she has added weight puts her at risk. If she is having excessive day time sleepiness, this can further make a diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea likely. You can google and read about it. Knowledge is power. Good luck |
flokii:It's interesting how people expect Buhari to develop the economy with nothing. Like you said; with whose money? Crude oil sold for $100+ per barrel throughout Jonathan's era. These criminals called politicians looted the money. Crude oil is now $36 per barrel. Nigeria has no money. It's not Buharis fault. Nigeria simply has no money. Buhari's best chance is to go after these thieves. He has no other option. |
I am looking for a very good artist to draw life size portraits of my parents. Please email me some of your work and pricing. Thanks cooldrazix@yahoo.com |

omayeecp:What has External Counterpulsion have to do with Stroke?? Why can't you start a different topic and advertise your product. Why do you have to mislead people?? |
Rex123:At 20 and a 3rd year medical student my curfew time was 6 pm. You must have permission before you step out the house, irrespective of time of the day. I remember one day I left the house without telling anyone, I was coming back home around 6pm and my mum was waiting for me outside. I can't forget the 3 hot slaps I received from her in front of all the neighbors (and young chics about my age around, who adored me as a young handsome medical student lol). I was humbled (not humiliated). Today, I take care of my 88 years old mother. She lives in my house and I am glad for those hot slaps and more. But then again, times has changed. This was 25 years ago. |
