Lastpharoah33: I have been following this piece right from page one, took me 2days to arrive at the 57th.
Truth is ,I'm really fed up of this country called Nigeria. As the eldest in a family of 5 issues, I am going into depression every single day owing to the fact that I see no escape route from the wretched and poverty-stricken home am born into.
I can only boast of 60k which is my home and abroad like we call it. If I can get someone that can help me with accomodation and any menial job in any of our neighbouring countries ( excluding ghana), I'm always ready to migrate. I don't mind leaving before Christmas, this is to tell you how serious and determined I am.
I'm open for ideas guys. Use that 60k buy Nigeria used bike(Bajaj) hustle and get more money. If not you go suffer like the biblical prodigal son. |

nurey: The funny thing is that you are still not correct though, no offence. Lexus ES is samething as the Camry of that year from 1990 ES up to 2012 ES. ES just share more parts with a V6 camry exactly the same thing. Engine, shocks, spring, transmission, shaft, bearing, compressor etc. So no special ES parts except for interior I'm currently using a Lexus Shocks for my 1999 Camry. No much difference in price |

autologic: U don't wait till timing belt start to fail before replacement cos it might not even give you warning before it will snap and cause u more expensive repair .Best bet ,check your owner manual for the recommended mileage that the vehicle must have covered that will necessitate changing the timing belt . The car would be lagging at kick. It would not roll the engine quicker like before. You might even think you had a weak battery. |

kaymart: finally bro, does corolla 2004 to 2009 drives better than the camry 1999. e.g in terms of cruising, driving experience, turning, steering, AC et.c Guy this you question hard oo , and come put "finally". . Well. It's good to compare cars of the same age. The Camry of those age performs better than the Corolla of that age in terms of Power, Stability on high speed, Air conditioning, Interior and spacing. Camry 1999 can also compete with Corolla of that range except the for the shocks. The AC is better than Corolla of that age, the handling is also good. The V6 and XLE of Camry 1999/2000 beat the Corolla of that age in almost everything. What I did when I acquired Camry 1999 was to replace all the Shocks with that of LEXUS. The experience of the car after that change was second to none. Camry 1999/2000 is a good car but if you can take care of this 3 major issue the more the enjoyment: 1. The shocks and suspensions - Replace with, Avalon, or better still LEXUS 2. Timing Belt - Get Original Belt and also replace the pulley. Note: The v6 of Camry 1999/2000 does not have timing belt issue - It uses timing chain. Thank you. |

kaymart: Thanks a lot bro. But considering the age/yr of manufacture. Will a Nig used pen. cam still be of worthy service in this age and time. No time to be a friend of mechos Which age and time are you talking about. Most of the aeroplanes we use in Nigeria are over 35 years and they are still flying. The problem we have in buying Nigeria used cars are the buyers think that once it has been used by a Nigerian then it would have been badly used and the price will have to drop. I prefer buying a neatly Nigeria used car with sound engine for 1.3 million than to buy a foreign used for 2.7m. After 3 years I can still sell my Nigeria used car with the engine still intake and neatly used by me for 1.8m gaining 500k. But I assure you that no matter how careful I used A foreign car of 2.7m after 3 years I will sell it for about the 1.6m - 1.8m loosing about 1million naira. Who wise pass? |
Car Talk › Re: Toyota Corolla 2004 Vs Honda Civic 2004 Which Is Better Overall? by adubam(m): 6:10am On Nov 23, 2021 |
kaymart: The diff is much. 52 (2.2L engine/Camry) -40l (1.8L corolla) = 12Litre diff.... That's a lot in my opinion for the same journey In the long run of the usage of the car, you'll still spend more in other areas of that 1.8L car than someone who has pencil light. Corolla engine is about 370k while Camry 2.2 is about 180K. Parts of Corolla of that year is higher than Camry of that year. Consult your financial expert for detailed analysis. You can gain ALL in any brand of car |

I still challenge you, pls provide proofs by screenshotting call logs between you and I.

dru23: Sir u misread the post.. I was asking the young man the break down of his oil usage. I never advice him to switch. He has been using 20w50 for his matrix for a long time. So there is no point switching to factory recommendation .. If he decide to switch it might cause leakage........
And sir I didn't want you to waste money either. Your 1999 camry has been using 20w50 for long time. So just stick to it, and change ur oil about every 4k miles to avoid sludge. I know can it can tedious ...
Once you are able to get a proper maintain or tokunbo car. We give u free engine oil sir ... If u have anymore questions please free to ask I understand Boss |
Car Talk › Re: Port Harcourt Mall Flood: Fixing A Car That Drove Through The Water by adubam(m): 6:07pm On Nov 14, 2021 |
dru23: So basically let us say you change oil every 3months. Meaning you change oil 4times a year....Let us break down your spending for the year......
Mobil xhp 8500k = 34k for the year Oil change labour 2k = 8k for the year Oil filter 2k naira. = 8k for the year
So your total spending on oil changes for the is 50k naira.... This is rough estimates, it should be more .. My point here is that you can save yourself money and time ......
Now the reason why your engine looks clean is that you don't drive that much . I really doubt 20w50 is the recommended oil for your car . now for you to really damage your engine with 20w50 . You have to drive the car long enough ..
All those short trips here and there will not really damage anything regardless how frequent you change ur oil .... I don't want to go into any further details to avoid unnecessary back and fourth ......... I don't understand you dru. I asked you if I could change my oil from 20w50 that I've been using to 5w30 recommended for my Camry 1999 with over 200k miles but you said I should maintain status and now you are advising this guy to switch from 20w50 to mobil 1 |

seanfer: You’re right. Abuja is the federal capital and law enforcement officers are always careful because they don’t know who is who. Come to PHC even with the car in your name the wicked police will still want to extort you, and I’m sure that’s the case in order states. Imagine the OP finding himself on a highway with those police without uniform and name tag and telling them that no law says he can’t drive a car not in his name. They now ask him to call the seller to confirm and the seller is not reachable. Just imagine what will happen. To be on the safer side he should change it to his name. Well said. The only thing VIO/FRSC ask in Abuja mostly are Vehicle Papers and Drivers Licence. Police in Abuja seems to be very gentle as them no no who be who. |

Getthebestlogo: Please how do usually explain to the police officers or FRSC when stopped if they see that the papers is not in your name ? Is simple. There's no law that state that the apart from the owner of a car no other person should drive the car. I don't know about other states but Abuja VIO are the once that advised me that I should not bother about change of name if I don't have the money to do that. |

This is my 3rd Nigeria used car, apart from the first I have not done any change of ownership. The car you're driving must not bear your name. The must important is the vehicle papers are up to date and a valid Driver's licence |
