We have noticed the use of ethnic slurs and other derogatory names by a small but persistent group of political actors and trolls.

This practice of derogatory name-calling adds no value to the forum. It's bad for our mental health, our harmony as a community, and the reputation of Nairaland. It's simply toxic. It's absence and the absence of the people who use those slurs will not be missed.

Therefore I have decided to ban the practice entirely. I have instructed dominique, mukina2, Lalasticlala and Mynd44 to ban anyone who uses an ethnic slur or derogatory name on Nairaland. The antispam bot will also contribute to the effort. Please report any case that you see.

Disputes or cases between State Government(s) and Federal Government can be heards directly by the Supreme Court. In this case, the Federal Government who is the employer of CBN Governor has been sued by the State Governors who has full responsibility to protect their territories from Civil Unrest that is likely to come up which has already started now.

The Supreme Court would not have entertain the case if CBN was joined in the suit but as long its between Federal Government & State, Supreme Court can actually adjudicate on it. The address by Buhari in disobedience to SC injunctions is premised on the fact that he think that he has immunity as a president and also want to still achieve his goal at the expense of the masses which is not good for our democracy. No matter how good his intentions are according to his address.

On the 22nd of February 2023, the Supreme Court will hear the case and give judgement

The supreme court should ordinarily not have entertained the case at all. It's now an exercise in futility and a mockery of the judiciary.

So, are you saying that " Ilu Eko aka Lagos" is Igbo Land or Hausa Land? Agege, Idumagbo, Obanikoro, Ilasamaja, etc are Hausa or Igbo names? Get sense and park well!!!!.

The Fact that White Men settled down in the city of Calabar just like they settled in Lagos (Ilu EKO), does that made Calabar an igbo land ,Yoruba Land or Hausa Land? It still remain an efik region. The fact that Abuja is FCT, does that change the ownership by the Northerners? The fact that Yorubas has been magnanimous enough to accommodate all ethnic groups in Ilu Eko aka Lagos should not be taking for granted in anyway but should be appreciated. God bless Nigeria

Fellow Nairalanders, I learnt that the Vehicle Licencing Office Lagos have increased the price of obtaining Driver's Licence from N15000 to N36000. A colleague who went to ikorodu licencing office Odongunyan, informed me yesterday. I seriously find it difficult to believe. Can someone with clear knowledge of this ugly development (if its true) enlighten me please.
What is the current price of obtaining driver's licence in your state.
