heroshark: Well she doesn’t have a fixed salary, she’s self employed sometimes she make 800 and sometimes it could be more or less, but she wants to start paying her self a fixed salary (from her business account to savings) for the purpose of the visa application, so technically it’s not a lie. I just want to know how much salary would be reasonable considering that she’s planning to show a three months bank statement with a balance of 3 million. |

Viruses: Thank you, She was refused last year, in that application she used an agent that stated she earns 1.5m monthly, which I think is too much, can we reduce the figure for this application? Or must we use the same figures we gave last time? In this new application we are thinking of reducing her salary to about 800k as it makes more sense since her Account balance is about 3m. Hope this would not be an issue? For more context she own a bakery. No I don’t mind showing my three months payslip, I intend to show three months payslip along with my bank statement. |

Hello all, please I have a few urgent questions. I want to invite my mum over as I would be giving birth in a few months, I am the one sponsoring her. I have been hearing different information on how many months POF is needed Some just said one month is okay, I was thinking of doing three months. Is that okay? Secondly how much POF do I need to have in my account, is £5k okay? Lastly, I’m sponsoring her but she also has a running business (a bakery) that we intend to use has home ties along with my dad and little sister being in Nigeria. Would she need to also show her account statement, if yes, how much should she have? |

NuCypher: Thank you so much for the motivation and advice. Moved to the uk just two years ago and I’m a bit familiar with the challenges faced when relocating to a totally new country, as you pointed out. I was second thinking continuing with French because I thought by the time I would be fluent enough to pass the exams I would be closer to getting ILR here in UK. However, I would continue to give it my best, because Canada still seems like the better option to me, and french is looking like the only way. 2 Likes |

Hello house, I need advice as I have almost gotten to the point of giving up on this Canadian PR. I and my husband are in the pool with me as the main applicant. We currently have a score of 472. But it seems like they won’t be calling that any time soon at this rate. I have tried to look into most PNP routes but we don’t fit into any as I don’t have any family in Canada, I don’t have tech experience either. Is there anything I am over looking ? Is there another route we can consider for PR ? Please I need advice. My NOC is Administrative Assistant. I have considered learning French but I think it would take me too long as I am overwhelmed with al lot of other activities at the moment. |

Hello house Please I have a question regarding the category based draws I am the main applicant but I don’t have experience in any of the required categories. Although my hubby has 6 months as a nurse aide. Must he be the main applicant for us to be called in the category draws? Or can I be the main applicant and we’ll get called based on his experience? I am asking because we have a higher score with me as the main applicant. |

Please do health care and support workers stand a chance with this category based draw? I saw “other assisting occupations in support of health services” Does this include care workers/ support workers? |

Zahra29: Thank you 😊 Yes I think he enjoyed studying and working as a marine engineer. But he only worked for two years after his OND and life happened so he didn’t go back to finish the HND. This was over ten years ago. And before we relocated he was into real estate and other side businesses. He didn’t have an office job for over 10 years. He doesn’t mind going back into marine engineering but he will need a degree. He is also open to other engineering fields. |

Tutu82: Thanks for the response 1&2) we are not saying that they are fully funding the trip we are saying that the money for all expenses is in my dads account including the one we’ve sent to assist. So do I still need to send my own bank statement in that case? |

Hello house please my parents and little sister (14 years) will be coming for my graduation in July. We are hoping to apply this week but I have a few questions. 1) if they are saying they will be paying for all their expenses from their account would I still need to show my own statement of account? 2) my elder sis and I want to make a transfer of 1.5m to my dads account this week to assist with the travelling expenses. Would this be a red flag cause of the lump sum? 3) they want to apply stating that they will be staying for 1 week (to reduce the amount of POF needed) but after getting the visa can they extend their stay to two weeks? 4) my mum and my dad plan to stay in an hotel because my apartment is a one bed and I’m married. so my little sis can’t stay in the same hotel room with them. Can I say she would be staying with me in my apartment? 5) lastly I booked their hotel as “book now pay on arrival” and this shows on the booking confirmation. Hope it won’t be a red flag too? I know it’s a lot of questions but I’ll appreciate any advice I can get please |

Hello House, Please I’m considering using my NYSC as my one year experience. But my confusion is what to put as my job tittle on the reference letter Should I ask my employer to put NYSC Corper? As this was what they wrote on my offer letter Although I’m using the NOC for Human Resource Administrator and this aligns best with my job description. I also want to use job owner for the other two years of experience as I own a registered make up business. I used to me a make up artist in Nigeria before moving to the UK. It’s been registered since 2918 but I don’t have any tax documents. I’m also not so sure about how to go about the reference letter for this. And it was a side hustle cause I was first studying and later working 9-5 while also running the business. I have chats with clients and some payment I can prove but I don’t have a business account. Is it safe to use this ? |
